Now this is what I'm talking about when I say I like to discover amazing coffee shops while I'm traveling. From the bright light and easy to listen to music to the eclectic art and plants on display (and for sale), the space has a vibe and I'm here for it! After picking the barista's brain on what to order I landed on their avocado toast and two of their specialty drinks. When everything was ready I literally gasped at how beautiful it was. The banana bread latte is so on trend right now and I've been dying to try one. Needless to say I was pumped when I saw it on the menu. It was creamy and had just the right amount of banana bread flavor to it. I would order these over and over again. I later also tried the ube matcha and it was divine. Vibrant color and a lovely taste. Not too bitter or too sweet. The avocado toast was not only delicious, but colorful and toasted to perfection. It's a pet peeve of mine when I order it and it's a flimsy piece of bread. They nailed it. They are doing a great job and if I lived in town Dose Detroit would certainly be a coffee shop I visited regularly. Five stars all the way! read more

Super adorable coffee shop/plant store with a great vibe and inventive drinks. The space is super bright and airy and they have tons of plants everywhere, most of which are for sale. I d f didn't need to buy anything, but some of the pots were so cute and tempting. Dose's seasonal drink menu is on point. They had a great variety of specialty syrups and drinks to choose from including a banana bread latte and salted Nutella syrup, which I was able to add into drip coffee. The barista was super friendly and patient with me as I concocted an overly complicated drink. The heirloom toast is a must try. The tomato's were super fresh and the goat cheese spread was incredible. I added an egg but did ask them to cook it a little more since they generally come somewhat jammy. It was perfect. The music and vibe were great, you can tell that cool people go there. Nice place to work or meet a friend. They also have really fun art! read more

This is such a hidden gem in Detroit. Plant nursey and cafe combined, they have a great food and drink selection. It's a really nice space and unique interior, which makes for a great place to work out of. The food is great for a breakfast to pair with a coffee while you hang out or work. The staff is super friendly and it's pretty easy to park right in front of the building. It hasn't been too busy when I've gone, so pretty easy to find a table to sit at. Definitely recommend checking out, as I think it's one of the lowkey sleepers in terms of newer cafes in the city. read more

DOSE IS SO FREAKING GOOD! This plant store meets coffee shop is everything you need that you didn't know you needed. The green adds to the calmness and airiness of the shop. They have a bunch of fun drinks - I got a divine strawberry matcha that tethered on bitterness and sweetness all in one. Their seasonal menu really hits all the spots that aren't in their regular docket. It's a great place to come with friends, study, read, or just look at some fun plants. read more

This place was super close to our bnb and we made a stop here before heading back to the west side of the state and I'm so glad we checked it out! Hands down probably one of the cutest cafes I've been to. They also sell plants and other cute items as well! Looked over the menu and the Iced Strawberry Lav Matcha caught my eye. I ordered that with the Avo toast. Both items were not only aesthetically pleasing but they tasted phenomenal. I absolutely love a matcha mixed with strawberry. And the Avo toast was almost too pretty to eat. The pickled onions and soft boiled egg were super tasty along with whatever seasonings they used as well. I kept thinking this was a well balanced toast. My bf ordered cold brew and the smoked salmon bagel. I tried a bite of his bagel and it was so good. The cream cheese to bagel ratio was perfect for me but maybe a little too much for him. Either way, delicious! This shop has to go on your list if you're ever in the area and want a cute beverage! Dose is a beautiful cafe that feels magical to sit in. I haven't tried much, so I can't speak for their entire assortment, but the place itself is an experience and the staff is so lovely. The employees make an honest effort to know regulars which is so refreshing!! They are willing to have friendly chat and explain any questions about the menu or place that you might have. I have come here to do some remote work twice and although they play music which can be distracting without headphones, it also makes for a lively vibe. I don't like to work in cafes that feel dark or separate from the outside world, so having lots of plants and windows makes it ideal for my preferences. I like to work somewhere that doesn't feel like a waste of a sunny day. Anyways, the avocado toast is pricey but I think it's appeared in my dreams because of how good it is. How can avocado toast be that good? I DON'T KNOW EITHER! It just is. They switch things up, in terms of little ingredients and presentation, so I like that-- it feels real. Also the house made syrups are a nice addition to the coffee products. I'd say give this place a shot. Note that there is free street parking right outside, but it can get busy and filled. Such a cute spot with coffee, brunch and lunch and plants! The space is huge and perfect to work from (a lot of tables and chairs). It seems to be in a developing area because there isn't much around, but the building itself is new and clean. I love that they sell small home goods and plants- such a nice array and perfect for finding a gift for a friend. Their lattes and breakfast items were also super yummy. I am literally obsessed with this place! We went there for the first time yesterday. It's has a very chic decor, but is also cozy. There are beautiful plants all over and has a little gift shop. Yesterday we were greeted by one of the owners named Adam. He is so lovely and sweet. I had the salted Nutella Rose latte. Adam said it reminded him of his childhood as where he grew up did not have peanut butter, but did have Nutella. I believe Adam is French? It literally tasted like someone's French childhood. So magical. The best latte I have ever had! Today I had the dirty dosed chai latte and the smoked salmon carpaccio and they did not disappoint! This place was recommended to me by my friend and it was so pretty and aesthetically pleasing. Nice open space and seating to get some work done or chill with people. I will note though that we couldn't find many open outlets so we didn't stay to get work done. My friends and I were all excited to get the Ube Matcha and it was unfortunately bland. We tasted the ube before it was mixed but other than that it was lacking taste :( I did enjoy that there milk options which were not an up charge, so I had it with Almond milk. I ordered Avocado toast and my friend ordered a chicken sandwich (forgot the exact name, I can't seem to find their food menu on their Instagram or website). Well what a wonderful place! This fairly new coffeehouse is a real winner in the neighborhood! I may be a bit biased being a plant lover, but for me this place is a dream. You can grab a delicious coffee, their house brew is fantastic! Then enjoy it while you pick out a new plant friend to bring home. The owners are completely delightful! I ordered an iced Ube Matcha latte. I was excited because it's rare to find Ube in Michigan- that is made properly. They made theirs house-made and it wasn't bad. Dose is really cool! It is located in Midtown but a little bit off the beaten path. Parking abundant, and the block seems to be developing. I think that there is housing above? The Matcha was to die for. I got the strawberry lavender cold foam iced Matcha latte. They used dried strawberries in the cold foam, which was amazing. The atmosphere inside was great, doesn't look corporate or feel sterile. The eclectic plants and things on the counter look really pretty. There's lots of great seating, seems like a great place for a meeting or to get some work done. The one thing I didn't love is that their prices are pretty expensive. My super small Matcha latte and a salmon bagel came out to around $27 after tip.. felt like a ton. Or maybe it's just inflation idk. The barista was super nice and communicative, and toasted that bagel perfectly. Will definitely be back. read more
