Great place to have a one on one meeting or bring your laptop to get some work done. The baristas were both super nice and made our coffees quickly. This cafe is so underrated. They have incredible flavors, a cool interior aesthetic, super nice staff, and partner with fun pop ups like Daphne's Bagels. They have an awesome pastry selection and usually pretty easy to get seating. If you live near Lafayette Park or Dequindre Cut, it's right in the neighborhood and definitely worth stopping by. read more

Stopped here before driving home to the burgh from Detroit. I love that they have a parking lot, making it easy to stop by! I had a latte with cinnamon and it was very good. I also had a piece of banana bread and a couple cookies for the road- all of which were amazing! I really loved the banana bread especially. I'd love to come back next time I'm here! Love the space to co work and connect with others they have a nice cafe to get things done. The offerings do include some vegan options. And the tea is really good. They got rid of the barista with the horrible attitude and the place has been a favorite ever since. read more

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. It was my first trip there and they were so helpful and helping me choose a drink for my first visit. During this trip, I tried the Coco chai latte iced. It was absolutely delicious and I'm so glad I listened to the barista's recommendation. The establishment had ample seating of various high chairs and low chairs. They also had merchandise for purchase, including candles and various aroma sprays. They offer also offer drinks for purchase from local companies They also have baked goods. I will definitely be checking out this location again as it's right next to the Greenway, so you can hop off of your bike, which they also have bike parking and grab a cup of coffee before you head to your next destination. read more

This is the best Red Hook location. There is plenty of free parking, a spacious interior, outdoor seating, and a "wine side." I liked that there was an air purifier in the café. The décor is modern and chic. The tables are large, and the seats are comfortable. I enjoyed my London Fog with oat milk. Plenty of pricey but delicious pastries, including an egg breakfast sandwich that I like to have when I meet someone here in the morning. read more

Having been an original patron of the Ferndale Red Hook, I was thrilled to learn that after moving to my new place off East Jefferson a new Red Hook location was near opening. I def grew accustomed to walking my dog up every now and then the first Summer they were open, and then 'the accident of 2022' happened and my random ritual ceased to carry forth. But, just touched down back in good ole Detroit from Charlotte, and made an AM beeline for my Red Hook go-to's; - Cheddar Bacon Chive Popover (sans lactaid pill but worth it) - Strawberry Pop Tart - Brown Sugar Espresso Latte with Oat Milk, 16oz. The service is always warm and friendly, and if you're early enough you have your choice of a full array of their small bites offerings. They also have a very quaint interior seating area and a new roped off patio area with several tables, chairs and umbrellas. Side note: other then missing Detroits Award Winning Riverwalk, and my Red Hook Adventures - I also missed my weekly hardcopy MetroTimes Astrology Horoscope section. This is more personal than I usually review but here goes - I was just informed that Red Hook fired Laura, the manager of this Red Hook location (I'll admit that I don't know all the details). Laura opened the Greenway location and nurtured its customer base. I personally looked forward to seeing Laura every time I would visit. It's right across the street, so I'd make sure to buy my coffee beans here instead of at Whole Foods or anywhere else. I always trusted Laura's taste, it never steered me wrong. She always remembered my order and knew what I'd like. I know a mistake when I see it and this business made a huge mistake when they let her go. Currently, it feels so lifeless and generic when I go in there. What about the community?! It's a local coffee shop! You can't find another Laura! They were so lucky to have found her and kept her as long as they did in the first place. read more

I love this spot so much. I come here often to work and take meetings because it's truly a dope spot to be able to do multiple different things. Depending on the company you work for, it may or may not be too loud, but if work remotely and need to get out of the house to work, this is the spot. The coffee is good, the treats are tasty, and right next door is a wine shop (by the glass) for you to enjoy after 5pm! The people are also nice! read more

Met a friend here for coffee on a Saturday morning. There was lots of people coming in versus sitting in. I enjoyed my coffee. The only con is that if you want pastry items or food make sure you get it as soon as possible because they don't have back stock of certain items. There were a few things I wanted to try that were gone before I had a chance to order. Parking is also free in front of the building. I don't frequent the Jefferson area often but I will definitely be back. read more

I was in a few weeks ago. My wife and I were on our way to the airport. We decided to stop here for some coffee. Huge mistake. I ordered and received my coffee drink to find that they had no type of artificial sweetner. No Splenda, no Sweet n Low and no equal. The woman at the counter seemed quite pleased with the fact that they had no artificial sweetners. I did ask if they were out or did they never have them. I was told they never have them. The expensive coffee drink I bought (she suggested sugar in the raw, I demurred) was undrinkable and I ended up pouring it out. My wife and sister in law seemed ok with their beverages, but it was a waste of time and money for me. The smarmy attitude of the woman serving us our drinks did not help. Please avoid if use artificial sweetners. I will not return. read more
