My side-boo Jeff H and I saddled up to this place for a snack to go with our libations from the Fort Myers Brewing Company. Red Roc had parked out front on a slow Saturday afternoon, wafting in-taco-cating smells (get it??) all over the place. I'm still doing that pescetarian thing right now, and thankfully Red Roc cooks up a mighty fine shrimp taco. And they DON'T PUT CHEESE ON IT. Thank you! Seafood never needs cheese! Just MOAR cilantro please. All over my body. Jeff had the "chef taco" which looked like ground beef. We both had the hot salsa (which was flavorful and delicious, though not spicy to me). And the tacos come in soft corn tortillas, two on each taco. I didn't really get why they each needed two tortillas (twice the calories). But it did wonders for the texture. When I asked the chef, he confirmed that, yes, the tortillas are handmade everyday. These guys deserve a standing ovation for that alone. But wait, there's more. They have a "walking taco" riff on their menu--all the taco fixings (ground beef, I think) thrown into a crunched up bag of doritos, ready to be devoured via fork. Unfortunately our first and last time visiting Red Roc Cravings. After $44 spent, we received Nachos that were more chips than any other ingredient on the plate, and the most expensive plate on the menu ($17) did not even fill an actual plate. Extremely small portions for the price. Even the sides were a *pinch* of rice, a *pinch* of beans. Rice, beans and shrimp had no salinity, the saltiest items on the plate were the chips. Sadly, we lost our money coming here, but will not make that mistake again. Please reconsider changing your prices to match the actual proportions you hand people. read more

Hands down the worse customer service I have ever experienced. I asked the guy working the front of the veggie burrito was vegan and he just said "listen, I don't make any of this stuff. I'm not the head guy and I don't know the difference of vegan, vegetarian or any of that stuff." I'm glad to know that he is unaware of any allergies someone may have. He had an attitude the entire order when I asked one question. Doesn't change gloves between orders and takes cash payments with the same gloves on that he cooks with. It would benefit a health inspector to come look at this truck and the owner to just get rid of this man. He was parked at Cape Coral hospital this afternoon and I would never recommend this to anyone. read more

shrimp tacos and chorizo quesadilla were good. ordered a queso mexi and it came out as a hotdog with various things on it. WRONG!!! it was supposed to be a burger. waited WAY too long for it to be fixed. finally spoke up and was told that gridfle had cooled down and they had to reheat it so that burger wasn't "wonky". When it FINALLY came out, it was not good! understand that all food is made fresh to order, but...acknowledge that you screwed up and FIX it ASAP! Don't just ignore customer. Food Truck! Hector, the chef, is working this truck all alone. Big mistake when you have a line forming. Too late now! I was #7 in line and it took me a solid 30 minutes to be able to place my order. The menu looked pretty good. I ordered the Wet Burrito. Almost another 10 minutes later, I had my food. I noticed that the chef never changed his gloves from handling money and credit cards, to when he handled food. There were even still bits of cilantro on his gloves when he took my money, and never changed them when he was in my view. Damn! I forged ahead, trusting my guts to bravely overcome. That being said, it was pretty hard to call this a "wet burrito", as it had two tablespoons or so of salsa ladled over the top, along with a dollop of sour cream. This, a wet burrito does not make. Double damn! The $9 burrito was surprisingly good and filling. It was just the right size and very tasty. Worth $9? Meh. I think $8 might be more appropriate for this offering. Tasty food but not as expected, slightly overpriced in my opinion, very slow, and definitely unsanitary. I don't know if I'd chance it again. read more

Despite waiting 40 minutes for our food and finding out that they couldn't make one of our orders, this food truck gets four stars because of the taste. The owner/chef makes everything to order, and it shows. Our vegetarian burrito was very attractive, did not skimp on portion, and was packed with flavor. Booked Red Roc for our event months in advanced and confirmed by phone a few days prior. Everything was a go until the day of the event, they never showed up. We called an hour after they were to arrive and were told they were having problems with their trailer and couldn't make it. Don't use this food truck if you really need it to show up. read more

I had two vegetarian tacos at their truck while they were at the Edison Estate in Downtown Fort Myers today for lunchtime. They were so yummy! I love a good soft taco with corn tortillas. I tried this delicious food truck at Lakes Park Market in Fort Myers on Fridays! Man! What a nice change from always seeing plenty of bbq, Italian and hot dogs everytime! We had the ground beef tacos, yes with 2 corn tortillas cuz that's a real taco! Plenty of cilantro, onions n salsa. Asked for spicy salsa, which was really good, but barely any spice. Also had the wet ground beef burrito n it was delish! Not totally covered with gravy n cheese! Perfect proportions! Love the beans and rice on the inside! Great service! We booked the Red Rocks Food truck for a large group gathering (100 people) for Feb 3 about a month in advance and they were good to work with on the front end. Several days before our event, while trying to confirm, they did not return calls or emails. Eventually about 4 hours before our event, we reached someone who said he hadn't heard from the employee who was supposed to do our event and he would keep trying to reach him and call us back. Needless to say, no return call, no email, no explanation and no show with 100 hungry people! Even after the fact, no apology, no explanation. That's just poor business despite how good their food may be. Just wanted to share this experience so that others don't make the same mistake. read more

Me, my wife and our young child stood in line for their truck at fort Myers brewery for about 10-15. They were super busy so we get it. That's not the issue. We were up. No one was helping us. 5-10 minutes pass. Each employee looked us right in the eyes and said nothing. Eventually one guy came to the window and said they were so backed up they weren't taking any orders. I get it, crappy timing. But for everyone to look at us and not say a word and let us waste our time was unacceptable. Later in the night I wouldn't even give these people money for a drink. read more

Until...we walked up an hour and a half later and the young lady working/taking orders had a completely unnecessary attitude and proceeded to say I don't know how long it's going to be it will be ready eventually. My boyfriend eats an Autoimmune Protocol Diet due to his thyroiditis. That means he does not eat rice, grains, nightshades, and more. The chef was so nice that he wouldn't rest until he came up with an off-menu recipe that my boyfriend could eat. He whipped up great lettuce wraps with chicken. I can't get over how sweet this was!! Best tacos in Cape Coral. That isn't much of a comparison since finding good South of the border food is difficult around here. Fortunately they make some of the best tacos I have tasted. Chef Hector for better of words tried to make me jump through hoops hours before my daughter party. Wanting me run out cash to him because he would not take a C.C. for a deposit. He new about the party 3 weeks in advance, no word of this request until the day before the party. Please be careful when having Red Roc cravings do an event for you. Poor communication after he excepted the job, tried to make it seam like it was my fault. What company do you know that makes you bring the full payment in cash hours before and event or else he will not show up. read more

Food was pretty decent but that is where my compliments end. Hector is one of the worst business owners i have ever dealt with. He works by himself and his ticket times show it. 18 min wait for two tacos!! We hired his truck for a special event where guests had a choice of either bowl, tacos or burrito and choice of side item and drink. besides long waits he served warm canned soda and NONE of the guests received a side item at all!! when time to settle up the bill with him and the no side item issue was brought up his response was "That is not my problem, you should have had guest ask me for a side.If they don't ask i don't give it" We agreed on $10 per head and even though he didn't deliver what he agreed on, he demanded he get paid in full or their would be a "problem" on my hands. all of this as he is yelling at the customer paying the bill.... in conclusion....good food but BEYOND HORRIBLE SERVICE!! read more
