The burn-in on some of the monitors, the broken sound, buttons that don't work or are "sticky stuck" leave me irritated when those same machines go unfixed FOR MONTHS! In certain situations I've clicked the service button and ask them to fix it and they do nothing! One particular situation I couldn't get the denom to change, when I called for service she said that you have to click ABOVE the denom button, WHAT!? who knows to do that? And guess what, I was just out there recently and IT'S STILL NOT WORKING PROPERLY! The restaurant/s food is meh. Lastly, they are tight with the freeplay, giving you small freeplay amounts every couple of days so that you have to go up there frequently to get your free play.

Inside, you'll find everything you'd expect - all types of of slot machines, table games, and a lively atmosphere. The service is solid, with drinks brought to you timely during play, which definitely adds to the experience. Table minimums start around $10, so it's accessible whether you're just trying your luck or planning to stay awhile. There's also plenty of parking outside, and having a hotel on-site makes it even more convenient if you want to turn it into a longer stay. The drink selection is decent, though the cocktails themselves were pretty standard, had an Old Fashioned, and it was nothing memorable...

Our server was a very nice girl who checked up on us a couple times. It was late afternoon on a Monday so not very busy. Great screens to watch the games that were on. The breakfast food is mostly pre packaged food besides an egg. I got the full slab of ribs. They came with Mac and cheese and Cole slaw. The Cole slaw was only about 4 bites and was runny and nasty. The Mac and cheese was burnt on top. The ribs were tough and chewy and they almost did not look like they were fully cooked. You could tell they were not one complete slab but two different slabs cut in half. They took forever to serve us. I mean like 30 minutes to get the ribs. It's like they only had a half slab of ribs cooked and they had to quickly cook the other half of the other slab while we waited. For $40 it was not worth it. I should have l known that the ribs would not be that good based on the very reason that they were being served by Tom's Urban. Reminder to self to do not do that again. Our waitress was sweet but we ordered waters with our beers and she showed up 1/2 hour later when the ribs arrived and said she would go get us our waters.

We usually stay within the Hilton portfolio when traveling, but for this trip to Southwest…read moreWashington, surprisingly, we weren't able to find any Hilton properties available for our dates. That led us to look at other options, and we ended up booking here for a four-night stay in late September. The booking process was straightforward--I was able to use an older account I had from years ago when I was traveling internationally, particularly in France. Back then, I had the impression Best Western was more of a smaller, regional brand in the western U.S., but it's actually much larger than I realized, with 18 brands across more than 100 countries and territories. In terms of experience, Best Western feels a step below our usual Hilton stays. That being said, check-in was simple, though not quite as seamless as we're used to since there was no digital key option. We had to wait at the front desk for a bit with two other guests ahead of us, which wasn't a major issue but did add to the first impression. The property itself is dated, and unfortunately that showed throughout our stay. Our room, while clean enough, felt dark and somewhat tired, even with most of the lights switched on. The bed was comfortable and we did appreciate that the room was fairly quiet at night, which made for decent sleep. However, there were some details that left us less than comfortable. The shower water never got beyond lukewarm, which was disappointing. There was leftover blue painter's tape on the ceiling and around the shower--presumably from a recent paint job. There was a cobweb from the ceiling down to the shade on one of the lamps. Those kinds of details made the room feel unfinished. We didn't make much use of the amenities on-site, since this stay was primarily about having a base while we explored the areas between Vancouver and Longview/Kelso. Because of that, our perspective is limited to the room itself and the general upkeep of the property. Overall, it served its purpose, but we didn't feel entirely at ease here. Would we stay again? If it were the only option within our price range, yes. But next time we'd likely do more research ahead of time to see if a local hotel, a small motel, an Airbnb, or even a bed and breakfast might offer a more comfortable alternative.

Motel took my phone number and was to give it hotel property owner but it's been 5 days and haven't heard a word. This motel needs a state inspection and shutdown. Once inside, staff was clearly glad to see us and even provided blankets when we first chose to go outside around the covered fire pit area. As this was a rather cold and damp day, we soon retreated inside and found a nice table near the front. We skipped the wine tasting and went for full glasses to go with our food choices. They have beer too, but in a place like this, what's the point? We mostly went for the Pinot Noir selections, which I found went very well with what we ordered. That included: The "famous" Baked Brie appetizer. Let's say that the "hype" is real. Hot Turkey Spinach Artichoke Sandwich - Rich and delicious. Erin and I went for that and we gladly shared. Reuben. Jim's choice and I also went there. Mega Burger - Gayle's yummy choice. We lingered, we had great conversations, and staff was always there when we needed them. On our way out, we loaded up on some cute wood Christmas tags which I'm sure will be a hit as gifts.

Gary, the owner, took us on a little tour to see the flex tanks, which were extremely impressive. We had some tastings and I was delightfully surprised at some of the sparkling wines, like sparkling Pinot noir, and sparkling Syrah. Definitely worth coming here to try those. Very unique. We ate dinner and I had a wonderful salad that was so big I could not even finish it. Had turkey on it and go cheese and I'll kinds of other yummy things. At the recommendation of Gary, my date and I had the baked brie. I'm not able to eat gluten right now, so he ate all the pastry parts, but the Brie had delicious apple chunks and it was just gooey and yummy. I know there are a lot of wineries in this area, but you will definitely want to come here. It's a beautiful location and we were fortunate to run up to the top of the roof, where there is seating, to see the sunset last night. It was magical. Get a tasting, and get the sparkling rose. You won't regret it!
