They also had mangonada which always sounds like a good idea. But what really caught our attention was something different, corn in a cup. We were curious and considered it. As we were walking around the kiosk, we noticed the staff setting up sample cups and they offered us a sample of the corn in a cup. What are the odds of that happening? Ha. We tried it and loved it so we decided to get it. We ordered the #2: Churarto Elote Cup. It's one of the spicy options. Although I asked for hot sauce on the side since I was sharing this with my daughter. This option has mayo, cotija cheese, Tajin, Doritos, Cheetos, Takis, hot sauce, and lime juice. It's a good size so you get lots of corn. Lots of flavors and spice. We mixed up the items and it was quite tasty. The hot sauce adds that extra kick! My daughter also got the Jarritos Pineapple drink too. Like a sparkling pineapple soda. Too sweet for me but she enjoyed it. You can also "Create Your Own Cup" option too. This family owned farmers market is in it's own small building. It was very interesting to me because this is the first place I found that sells raw milk. It is not something I personally drink but advocates claim that the pasteurization of milk destroys the nutrients, enzymes, and good bacteria. Benefits of raw milk may include more nutrients, improved digestion, and enhanced immune function. Others believe that the benefits are outweighed by health risks associated with consuming raw dairy products. The raw products sold here state they are not for human consumption. In addition to raw milk they also sell raw milk kefir, raw yogurt, raw cheese, raw butter, and raw milk ice cream. Other products they sell include organic produce grown in Southwest Ranches, local honey, hormone free and grass fed meat and seafood, farm fresh eggs, bath and beauty products, bread, and fresh made key lime pies. Staff was on hand to helpfully answer customers questions. I do believe that food is medicine and that it can heal you. This market subscribes to that philosophy. It is a niche for people who don't mind paying more to know where there food comes from, want clean ingredients, or are into a particular lifestyle choice. If you are looking for a large selection or inexpensive prices, this is probably not for you but I enjoyed my visit.
