When I tell you guys that the people at Double J went ABOVE and beyond for us. I can't emphasize it enough! We are double hobby family with both horses and jeeps and wanted something that could handle both. We were concerned if it was even feasible but Wayne and Nathan were amazing at answering all our questions and helping us find a fit in our budget. When we took a look at this 2015 Kieferbuilt LQ and when talking price not only were they willing to help us out.They added and took care of all servicing, fixing any issues like making sure the middle pillar will pop out easy that we saw and adding new things like brand new awning, brand new tires, batteries and that everything was properly working. The Double-J Trailers crew was an absolute pleasure to work with. I had a million questions and was unabashedly high maintenance for a base model trailer. They treated me with responsiveness, accuracy, and kindness. I wanted 2-rounds of 8 measurements to make sure I chose the right trailer manufacturer and model. Alexis went out to the lot with her tape measurer (and ladder) to get me the exact information I needed, plus advice from her personal trailering experience that is priceless. Nathan wore many hats and communicated clearly to me at each step of the process. Sammi was a joy to work with during the actual purchase meeting, and I felt I had met a kindred spirit. The shop crew (Lonnie, Chris, and I didn't catch the young gun's name) worked hard and fast to wire, switch, and install 2 fans with battery, plus install 2 screens, 2 pads, 2 mangers, and fine-tune the safety chain length once my truck was hooked up, out of respect for how much driving we had to do once we departed. In all, we drove 12 hours from ID to buy a Trails West Adventure MX2 from Double J. I was attracted to them for the price they offered. But the service I received was unexpected and absolutely outstanding. I write this as we are towing the Trails West east on I-84. It tows low and steady, no buffeting by passing traffic, no sway from Columbia River Gorge wind. It lights up bright and safe in the dark, and I'm impressed with the fit and finish TW provides. I have been dealing with Double J Trailers since the first of July with a "lemon" of a BRAND NEW trailer that I bought from them in November. Their lack of communication has been frustrating. I have talked to the whole family at one time or another and have never felt like I was a priority. Tammy, Wayne, and Nathan have all given me different information throughout this process . They did end up buying the trailer back from me at what I paid for it, but ......I am still at a huge loss out of my pocket. I asked them to refund my down payment (5000$ cash) or my sales tax (3200$) or something ...... as I am at a loss of almost 10,000$ and no trailer. These guys are the only trailer dealer with larger sized horse trailers in western Washington and they know it. I saw multiple new trailers with rust and oxidation sitting on their lot unwilling to negotiate on price to make up for the damage. In the end the only reason why I purchased a trailer here was because I'd have to drive to Walla Walla. I got the feeling that the employees didn't have much of a choice in the matter and they did their best to clean up the rust spots before I drove home with the trailer. The inside of the office was disgusting. There was a dirty bird cage with a parrot and a reptile tank with an iguana inside. It felt like I was in someone's backyard buying a used trailer. I would have given this place a 1 star but Tim was personable and made my experience bearable. My suggestions to the owner to increase customer satisfaction: - give your employees more freedom to discount pricing for defects or trailers that aren't selling - clean the place up and get rid of the pets - cover the spots that rusty quickly with wd40 or something to help prevent rust read more

I had a great experience with Double J over this last weekend. I ordered a custom camper and it was to be shipped to Double J as they will be their dealership in the Northwest. I was a little nervous given the idea that it was being purchased/manufactured in one state and I was relying on a local dealership to install and know the ins & outs of the camper. I found Double J to be great throughout the process. They kept in contact with me and sent photos of my camper upon delivery and what to expect during the installation process. The installer, Kerry, was absolutely instrumental in taking care of me and my camper. The guy came in on his day off to install my camper! I personally felt as though he took ownership as if it were his own and even gave pointers to what he'd do if it were his. (IE: How to efficiently run the 3 way fridge) Kerry even pointed out a flaw in the counter-top and told me he'd already ordered me a new strip to replace the creased seam tape. Once we went through the camper in detail I waited inside for the installation process to be completed. This inside of the office was very accommodating with a nice lounge, large screen TV, and even a Keurig. I must have talked to 4 additional people working that day including Wayne and his wife, Tammy. Everyone of them was friendly and helpful and didn't mind answering the random questions I threw at them regarding trailers, campers, and whatnot. To be honest, I'm a bit surprised there are a couple negative reviews on yelp because my experience was great. Once my camper was installed, Kerry made sure it was seated properly and then showed me the outside features of the camper. He made sure my tires were filled to the proper inflation and that my airbags had the right amount of air to keep my bed from sagging. He then put the tailgate in my camper and made sure it was secure and would not be scratched. Before I left Tammy gave me my paperwork and Wayne saw me out. They took some pictures and sent me on my way. I'm extremely happy with the level of service and the ownership of this dealership. read more

This dealer is decent in most respects. The people were friendly and helpful. I feel like I got a decent price on my Trails West trailer compared to the same model in the Front Range area, and they worked with us somewhat on a partial delivery of the trailer down here to Colorado. I would have given them more stars, but they are using a bank that practices bad business. The purchase could have been a much better experience, so unfortunately they get the lower rating because of their affiliation with them. :-( !!! Buyer beware !!! if planning a financed purchase here. I paid mostly cash and financed a small portion so I wouldn't have to dip into my savings. The bank that Double-J sent me to - Boulevard Bank, serviced by an outfit called SST - completely dropped the ball when I paid the loan off. It took months and finally a complaint to the FTC to force them to send the release of lien so I could title the trailer. It was one error after another and a frustrating fight with SST by virtue of Boulevard Bank every step of the way. If they give you a deal you cannot pass up, go for it. But if they tell you that Boulevard/SST will be handling your loan, run, don't walk away... or find your own financing better yet maybe? +++++++++++++ Followup 4/1/16: I was contacted by Tammy at this dealership who was offended by the 3-star rating. Double J was lucky to get the three stars I gave originally. Because of their poor choice of banks, I had to go through months of pure hell and frustration to get a simple lien release when I paid the trailer off. Clearly Tammy didn't (or couldn't) comprehend what I wrote above; that I didn't have a problem with the dealership, but rather with the bank of their choosing. After receiving her harassing email today, I have changed my opinion of Double J. I've changed my rating to 1 star. Sorry Tammy you'll just have to accept that. I gave an honest and fair opinion of my interactions with Double J which includes the total experience. 5 stars (buying experience) minus 0 stars (purchasing experience) averaging to 3 stars (original rating) which to me seemed fair. But the email you sent today was over the top and shame on you for getting in my face like that. !!! BUYER BEWARE AGAIN !!! If you give an honest review of this company and they can't accept what they see, they will harass you. I wonder what else upsets them if you aren't pleased with your product or whatever? I wish you well and sincerely hope you do a better job of vetting your loan services/practices before subjecting your customers to them in the future. I wrote this back to you just a few minutes ago and will write it again here, please do not contact me again. +++++++++++++ 7/16/16: Another followup only because I've received a note from Yelp in my inbox that Tammy is at it again and I am not sure why? Nobody really cares about three, two or one stars here; but folks will care when seeing your aggressive responses to people trying to relate their less than perfect experiences with Double J on Yelp. You are demonstrating to potential customers researching the dealership that Double J won't be worth the hassle of dealing with if a problem arises. If you're so defensive on social media I can only imagine how you might be privately. Luckily I dealt with the Albany, OR, to purchase the trailer and those people seemed very nice and helpful, even when I contacted them to advise components were missing from the trailer (butt bar) when we took delivery of it in Ogden, UT. A shipment with the missing pieces arrived a short time later after that. Advice: There's a saying dear, when the hole you're digging becomes too deep, it's time to put the shovel down. read more

My wife and I purchased a trailer from Double J in November 2018. We live in California and we were a little hesitant to purchase from out of state. They are well-reviewed on both Google and Yelp. Very glad we moved forward with them as we are extremely happy with the trailer and the process could not have been easier. Our plan to fund the purchase changed many times and Bobby Jo and Alexis didn't miss a beat and were happy to accommodate us. They even helped us to arrange shipping to California. To find out why this business is deserving of less than 1 star, read the owner's response to me. I am extremely upset with my customer service. This is the second time Double J has not met my standards as a customer, so I guess it's shame on me for coming back. First, I was lied to about an LQ trailer having leaks, winterizing, and replacing a few lights. But I thought, it's ok - I got the trailer I wanted with some cost out of pocket. But I needed a turn over ball installed. So I called them and they gave me the customer pricing, $100 off regular price. Great. I didn't receive a call when it was done, which was really no big deal. I didn't have a problem calling the next day to check and see if it was done, I understand that there was miscommunication. But when I arrived there, the first thing ANYONE said to me was "I know I called you. I left a message. I did call you." Ok - great, I didn't get it. And he kept going on arguing with me. Finally I just said "it's ok, it doesn't matter." Don't argue with me - just let it go. THEN I wasn't told there's a 3% fee for using a visa. What kind of company of this scale charges their customers for products of this price a visa fee? Absolutely ridiculous. I paid part in cash but was still charged the fee. Yesterday I talked to probably the only nice young man who works there and he did not tell me of the extra up charges. When we got in the truck, the radio was turned on and was adjusted. We turned the radio off after exiting it on site. Then all 4 of our doors were unlocked and our locks are broken, so you have to manually unlock each door. The back passenger door was also left open/ajar. The passenger side front tire were scuffed heavily. I always feel as if I'm an inconvenience at this Woodland location, I've never been to the Albany one. Big or small - I am a customer and I want to be treated like I am one. We had a very good experience with them , they were very accommodating, they took several measurements and additional pictures for me because we live 10 hours away. They were very honest and correct about the descriptions. We have been searching for a trailer for months so we've seen many trailers and I have to say that these were the cleanest trailers I have seen. I did not find there office offensive as one reviewer said. Unfortunately because I have special needs to accommodate a carriage the trailer we looked at didn't work for us. I wish I could give their Albany outfit 0 stars! I ordered my custom Exiss 2 horse trailer with living quarters on October 4, 2017. Ron, the manager, told me it would take 20 to 22 weeks to complete. As the March 2018 completion date approached, I had received zero correspondence from Ron. I reached out via email with no immediate response. He finally replied and stated the completion date would now be mid April. Again, when the completion date was within days, no communication from Ron! I had to chase him again, via phone and email. He said the trailer would not be ready until May 4! 7 months later! Because of the delay, I was unable to pick up the trailer. Ron would not help with the transport of my trailer to California and said "that was my problem". It took me two weeks to find a driver. When the driver's dispatcher called Double J to inform them of the pick-up time of my trailer, the rude receptionist said she never heard of me or my trailer. Thus requiring me to make another phone call to these incompetent people. Once the trailer arrived, the living quarters were filthy! And, no operating manuals, only installation manuals for all the appliances. And to add insult to injury, Ron plastered the outside of the trailer with the name of the dealership, address, phone number and website in two places, without my permission! Which I now have to have professionally removed. Once Ron received my deposit(his commission) on my trailer, he could care less when, where or how I received my trailer. read more
