I'm in agreement with Shelly B when her review stated that the owners customer service needs work…read more Besides their poor customer service, they are equally poor as human beings and how they treat people. Full disclosure ive never bought plants from Palm Garden and never will. My experience was with the Owners themselves. I have no idea who ya'll were after Hurricane Ida destroyed New Orleans and the Owners called me panicking saying their apartment rental buildings in Harahan needed a tarp. Keep in mind most workers and construction workers were still not even back in town yet working. But my company Green country Rooftops was. My wife and I rode the storm out in Metairie and i immediately started working again with limited resources and power still not restored yet. My phone was ringing off the hook with friends, family, & former clients all reaching out for emergency tarp services. Despite the immense demand, I actually had sympathy for the Owners and they sounded desperate and in need. Not to mention the fact they probably had numerous tentants at the mercy of keeping rain from destroying their contents. With that being said, I moved them to top off list and immediately bought tarp materials and personally drove myself and my crew to the job. We installed one full building tarp and the other building tarp we installaed a partial. I charged bare minimum for labor not even $500 and provided them my material receipts. After the work was complete, I had to track these people down like dogs to get payment. They came up with one excuse after the other. One such excuse was they were waiting for approval and they havent heard back from their insurance. The ONLY reason they paid is because i had to go public and damage their character and call them out. Stupid me for actually thinking i would help these people and actually be a hero and gain a new client. The fact of the matter is that they already had a "regular" roofer but guess what.... he couldnt get to them because he was too busy !!!! So much for Loyalty !!!! He ditched ya'll and fortunate for me i came to rescue because it seemed like the right thing to do. The only thing we cant control in this world is reciprocity and you guys sure didnt have any. Finally got payment but took FOREVER totally not worth my time or my company's time. Good luck this storm season wish you guys the best no hard feelings. The only reason you responded back to me is because I called ya'll out for not paying on a review for your business. Otherwise you guys had zero intention of paying me.

Take me back! I love it here. Buddy helped my mom yesterday and she couldn't stop gushing about how…read morehelpful they were. We came back today and got help from some other sweeties including Buddy and Wayne. Everyone was so knowledgeable and eager to assist. Wayne approached us so warmly. Made us feel so comfortable! They were so charming that I'd let them sell me anything. *opens purse* We'd been shopping around for weeks and decided to outfit our lawn with as much as we could get from TPG, thanks to Wayne. The Plant Gallery is so expansive, beautiful, and organized. There is inspiration abound. They really put so much care into the aesthetic. Most plants were labeled with name, care tags, pricing, their sun/shade situation, etc. I'd visited before and felt a little intimidated. When you approach, it seems like you have to park on the street, but if you pull inside the gate there is subtle parking available. It's sort of like street parking, where you can park along side some of the plants or sculptures. If you're unsure, ask some of the friendly staff and they'll help you.

I'm not officially a plant person. I tend to be a foster parent for plants, or an adopter of…read moreplants that have left behind or propagated by others, but I don't often head out in search of actual plants to buy for myself. Occasionally new pots or potting soil, but very rarely am I out and about for plants. I rent, it's always dark in the shotgun, the yard is just a jungle gym for the dogs, so I don't really plant anything. Just assorted pots on the porch and a few limited light tolerant plants inside. And then I decided to pick up a few for my classroom. I usually just have a little vase or some mini-daffodils in spring, but I'm trying to encourage more plant life in my classroom so that my students can enjoy it, and so that I have time to enjoy it. The problem is that I'm not as good at indoor plants as I am my outdoor ones. So I went to TPG because my mom gave me some ideas, and it popped up as a nearby location to where I was out shopping. 1. This place is way bigger than I expected. I pulled in and there's a shop, greenhouses, landscaping plants, you name it. 2. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable. I got ideas of what to get (sturdy enough for students), ways to take care of them, and knowledge about which ones were air purifiers, low maintenance, or whatever given my classroom conditions. 3. I spent more money than I had been anticipating, but I was having such a great time, and enjoyed learning about the plants that I decided to just buy a few more. The lady in the greenhouse wrote out my bill, I got to use my Yelp! check-in discount, and I went into the store to check-out. They had so many great goodies there that I really wanted to keep shopping, but I knew I had already spent my budget with the extra plants, so I stayed good. Now I know for next time and I look forward to going back. BTW -- the new plants are thriving and new shoots are already appearing, so apparently they really did lead me in the right direction!

I have passed this place soooo many times and admired the large boulders out front…read more After Hurricane IDA did away with much of my garden, it was time to get busy on renewal. The flowerbed/Alter originally had a wood border and it was looking shabby. I decided to invest in a rock border. On trip one , I bought 11 Colorado rocks as a nod to my Father's home state. This would give me a gauge on how many I needed. Trip 2, 22 more. All in all about 150$ spent for the border. The pond was another story with several trips until I realized I needed both base rock fill ins and the flagstone topper. I also purchased some water grass and a beautiful purple lily. Super happy with this family run biz and their help in consultation and loading. Easy to shop, grab a cart and start loading, from one rock to a truck full. no rock too small or toobig. I'm sad I don't need anymore rocks, maybe I will one day.....but dang if my yard don't look gorgeous because of them!!

This business rocks!!! No pun intended. They have a great selection of sediment, gravel, and rocks…read moreat great prices. I went there with the intention of taking care of some landscaping projects. The owner was very helpful with listening to my plans and providing recommendations of rocks based on capability to drain and aesthetics. I made about four trips in my truck to pick it up but had I known how much I really needed ahead of time, he would have delivered it for me. So yes, they will deliver. Regardless, he was kind enough to wait till I finished with my project to pay him at the end instead of making multiple payments every time I went there. Since that first time, I've actually gone back for other project needs and recommended him to friends and family. They have not been steered wrong by this company either. Definitely go check them out on Airline.
