Why it took so long to post about this wonderful establishment is beyond me. I have been here a handful of times. The staff and the brews are fabulous. The pizza is just okay. I have had it a few times. That said, I will try other food here and certainly other brews! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love the vibe here![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
Our go to brewery! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place itself is very spacious and has an upstairs area as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Beers are always phenomenal and they have a full bar so if you don't like beer, you can get spirits or wine (but get the beer). The food menu is big but not too extensive. The wings were out of this world! The pizza is delicious, nice and thin crust.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Double Nickel has a fantastic setup with its large indoor area and intimate outdoor space. Benches, adirondack's....there's a seat for every butt.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food is available. Choose a table, scan the QR code, select from the menu and the food is brought out to you. Staff tending bar are knowledgeable about their product and can facilitate selecting a brew to your liking. The Long Weekend, a hazy NEIPA, was had. It was hazy but not overly juicy. It was balanced with dank citrus rind and zest. Hop Factory - Simcoe, an American IPA, was next. Smooth bitterness with stone fruit and pine peaking through. Facilities- 5 Beer - 3.75
I love beer and am a big fan of breweries, but Double Nickel is great for non-beer drinkers (aka my fiancé) since they serve cocktails and wine too! I've had Double Nickel beers in the past, most notably Friendsgiving and Weekend Warrior, but I've never been to the physical brewery. Recently we were out to eat (at a byob) and our waitress started talking to us about beer when she saw my IPA. She mentioned how much she loves Double Nickel and how they now have a kitchen & that they serve wine and liquor too. My fiancé made it a point to set up a little family get-together especially since my Aunt lives close by. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We arrived around 4:30 pm on a Saturday and the place was packed. All of the tables were taken, as was most of the bar seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After a little wait, 6 seats together opened up at the bar, but the tables remained busy during our entire visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is also a large area upstairs for private events. Many breweries I've been to don't have private spaces, so this is especially a great place to host a private event knowing not everyone likes beer.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bartenders were very nice and helpful. They had no issues giving recommendations when asked for their opinions. Their beer list consisted of tap and canned beer which was easily identifiable on their menu. They even allowed their canned beer to be included in your flight selection. A few of the beers I wanted to try were out of stock even though they appeared on the menu which was a little disappointing, but the beers I tried I really enjoyed. My first beer was a Pie-O-My Fruited Sour and my second was Dunk Dynasty (love the name) which is a Dunkel. My fiancé, as mentioned earlier, is not a beer drinker. She ordered an Old Fashioned specialty cocktail which she said was strong yet enjoyable. My aunt and uncle had the Frosty Pilsner which they liked. My mom ordered a flight and I really loved the flight glasses. At first glance I thought they were mini plastic solo cups but they turned out to be glass and felt very nice in the hand. I'm surprised it took so long for me to check out Double Nickel but I'll definitely be back. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The taproom is roomy, they have a nice seating area outside for nicer days, and they have a large selection of beers.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We didn't happen to order any food - maybe next time. Definitely recommend the venue and the beer to anyone looking to get out of the house for an enjoyable night.
DN is a cool brewery with a large tasting room and a whole slew (sp?) of beers & a few seltzers on tap. The bar area (main area) is big with a long counter. They have a bunch of events that they host here. My fave is trivia nite on Mondays. But there are also cornhole leagues which they can also play INSIDE b/c of the large space inside. They also have the upstairs seating area which is really nice for private events. Keep in mind, no food is served here so you can BYO snacks, food, & non-alcoholic dranks. The back area is the "gaming/entertainment" area where they have the tv setup for video games (ie. Mario Kart) & other board/card games that they have in house. The back back area has the area where the empty cans are housed but this is also where they have the other corn hole boards too. There is also a seating area here if you just wanna hang out. Parking lot can be tricky b/c it can fill up & then you can park next door in the other parking lot. If you get hungry, you can walk across the lot to Wawa. As for the beer, if you are IPA person, you're in luck. If not, then, you may be SOL. There are so many flavors they offer for IPAs. Im not an IPA person so that severely limits my selection. There are a few other lagers, pilsners, & lite beers but they dont feature the fun flavors as the IPAs so they are ok. The seltzers are ok. Can't go wrong with Mango. They usually have like 4 seltzers @ a time. I tried a Blueberry Lavander before (maybe a blueberry vanilla) but I didn't care for it. So they do fall flat on what they are in business for, ironically. Staff is great & you can't beat the event space. I will go mostly for events & I dont buy a seltzer all the time either. Prices are fair, they are not overpriced but are par for the area. Dog friendly. Has outside space & it is a good time in the summer especially with the live events.
Was told to visit here while I was visit the area. I came her initially to taste the pickle beer... but sadly they were sold out. The flight I had was pretty good and took a crowler of the Limoncello sour home with me back home. Our bartender was good. Would check out again if I'm in the area.

The servers are friendly, patient , and knowledgeable. They do offer flights of 4 but not an option offered on the menu (or maybe I missed it). There is a schedule posted for live music and events. Food is not offered but that's due to the restrictive NJ legislation impacting breweries, however, they did mention that they are opening a concession stand with pizza in the coming months. The beer itself was average at best but the venue, entertainment, and friendly staff make it a fun destination to frequent with friends.
Starting point for a Saturday 5 brewery run with my youngest son. Turned out to be the best of the bunch. Huge building. Large bar. Great beer, IPA and stouts. Excellent server and conversationalist behind the bar (Andy). Best prices on the day. We each did a flight. HC parking right by the door.
Double Nickel is definitely one of the better breweries in South Jersey. They have an enormous facility on the side of route 130 in Pennsauken and as such are able to produce and distribute several flagship beers to restaurants and liquor stores all over the South Jersey/Philly area. But I highly recommend stopping by the brewery itself to sample their specialty brews. We stopped in yesterday afternoon and I counted an incredible 26 beers on tap and a handful of hard seltzers. So much variety! Plenty of interesting beers to choose from, including a mint chocolate chip porter, a few different milkshake IPA's, a barrel aged rye ale, and an anniversary triple IPA. We came at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon and the place was pretty crowded and absolutely crawling with little kids. I'm a parent myself and had my eight-year-old son with me, so I didn't mind, but just be aware if kids aren't your thing. There are games like tic tac toe and connect 4 to keep kids occupied. None of the kids were wild or anything, and when we left around 6, most of the kids were gone. Besides the beer, the facility itself is gorgeous. Cavernous, beautiful, with plenty of seating inside and out. They also have an upstairs and a back room with couches which can be booked for private parties. If you're a beer nerd like me, do yourself a favor and make the trip here!
Come for the pizza. Stay for the beer! We love the Fan Fave (pepperoni, and hot honey) and the honey butter chips. The pizza crust is perfect! The service here is top notch! Bartenders are attentive, and pizza chefs are super friendly. They have a wide variety of choices as far as beer and seltzers and recently added wine! The inside is wide open and there is a great outdoor area with picnic tables and a fire pit. Don't forget to check for events listed on their website. Pro tip, come during the week and play N64 or yard games.

Great spot with tons of parking! We stopped in one night during the week. A friend brought me to the Double Nickel anniversary party a few years ago and I have been in love ever since! The space is huge and has a really cool ambiance. The beer selection has something for every kind of beer drinker, including those (like myself) that don't love beer all that much. While they don't have their own kitchen, they do have food trucks that stop by in the parking lot. I've seen everything from Walking Tacos to Oyster food trucks. The selection is vast. Some of my favorite beers I've tried include Death of a Pool Noodle, Sun Surfer, Ripe - Key Lime, and the Vice City special that was available during the 6th Anniversary Party this past weekend. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Every time I make the trip from Center City to Pennsauken for DNBCo, it's worth it. read more

This beer experience is a bit older and I'm just getting around to writing about it now. Sometimes there's a delay un me getting reviews out and with the pandemic it made me a lazy reviewer and now I'm doing all kinds of catch up. Why am I bringing this up now? And I've already on occasion already mentioned this in my reviews? Well, you will find out as I get name one of the beer names in my review. I'm mostly caught up at this point but a few stragglers remain. For Double Nickle Steve and I had two of their beers. Both were enjoyable but one was a real shining star and so very appropriate for the times we were living in at the time. First up on the beer we tried the Dot Matrix. This was a fruited beer that was pretty good. This was a raspberry and blackberry fruited beer. It was pretty good. Not necessarily the best I've ever had but a solid fruit beer all the same. The one that we enjoyed the most was the Dumpster Fire 2020(See? really dating myself with chronicling this beer experience). Now this beer really won us over. This was a smoked stout with dutch chocolate and cayenne pepper that was the main flavor highlights for this fantastic beer. Smoked beers in this fashion just don't feel all that common. Not sure if this beer is still in production due to the 2020 in the beer name but I sure hope so. Or just bump it as each year passes! I mean going off of social media 2021 was a dumpster fire too, right? And I'm sure on an individual level for a number of people each and every year could count as a "dumpster year" on a revolving door basis. Because even though I don't reflect it in my reviews I'm more than happy to call 2022 a "dumpster year" for what we are experiencing! read more
Came to DN to celebrate their 7yr anniversary. Didn't expect such an enormous beer selection! The brewery itself is very large and beautiful and best of all dog friendly! There's so much seating available both inside and out. The inside (towards the rest) has a loft with TVs. If you're looking for a fun brewery to visit and a place to sip on some tasty beers selections I'm sure you'll enjoy this spot. read more

Double Nickel brewery is fantastic. Getting there is maybe a little tricky.. but once you get around a corner, bam! Can't miss it. Spacious inside with the bar, several tables, with also seating outside, currently with heat lamps. I believe it's ok to bring your pup to hang outside with. No food served but it was super easy to order take out and the bartender kindly pointed out to us where they stored plates, utensils and napkins. I love a good beer flight. I went with lighter beers while he dove right into some darker, heavier stouts. There was a game of cornhole/ baggo going on and I thought maybe they had some tabletop board games but I didn't go seeking them out. Definitely looking forward to coming back. Excellent spot to gather with friends. read more
We moved to South Florida a few years ago. We came back for a visit and I grabbed a few six packs of Double Nickel Pilsner. Delicious.... We stayed in Murrells Inlet SC on our way home and I enjoyed my Double Nickel around the pool and while enjoying a Primo Sharp Italian hoagie for a midnight snack I had to have a few more! read more

I am quite literally obsessed with this place! They have an amazing selection of beer for every kind of beer drinker. If you want to try any kind of beer you can think of, they have it. The atmosphere is second to none! I have brought my parents here and also my friends and everyone has a good time. Not to mention the indoor and outdoor is space is so expansive but so welcoming at the same time. The staff is friendly and are genuinely excited to have you there. They also run a great Instagram page that keep you up to date with their latest brews. read more
This is one of my favorite South Jersey breweries. It's a great spot for after work happy hours, or just hanging out. They have a great selection of draughts, and a nice bottle shop and apparel store. The place is huge, so they can accommodate big groups. They offer to rent out rooms for private events and parties, but there always seems to be plenty of space, including a nice outside seating area with patio space heaters. I've always found the service to be very pleasant and helpful. Cheers! read more

Decided to come to Double Nickel for their 6th anniversary celebration. There was live music, and solid assortment of beers on tap, merch, as well as the ability to purchase to-go beers as well. I would definitely recommend coming here for a good time with friends. They have an indoor and outdoor section, per COVID protocol. Definitely a good time. read more
Yesterday I attended the 6th anniversary party at Double Nickel with a group of 8 friends from Philly. We had a really wonderful day filled with beer, food truck eats, and live music. Their selection of beer is really complex and delicious. I tried 6 different beers and took home a 15 pack of Weekend Warrior, a drinkable session IPA, and a 4 pack of the Ripe blood orange and tangerine IPA. If you like sours try Death of the Pool Noodle. There is a lot of space outside to accommodate people with dogs and the whole space is very family friendly. Totally worth the trip we will be back!! They also have really great merch so grab a tshirt when you're buying your take home beer. Cheers read more
