Never feel so unwanted there today is my last time going to this diner back to the Towson diner where everyone say hello or if your drink is empty anyone will step in to refill it. Went there for Mother's Day a family of 4. We arrived early due to the heavy crowds on Mother's Day. The staff was not not very nice or personable and we were told the traditional Mother's Day cake would not be served until 10 am. I guess they were saving the cake for the "better" customers. Was in the mood for a good brunch at home but didn't feel like cooking. Double T Dinner is less than 5 minutes from my friends house. We saw good reviews on yelp and door dash decided to order for pick up. We had 3 different orders, I only remember mine which was all similar. They said it would take 20 minutes to pick up. I had to stop by the store anyway for juices. When I got there there the atmosphere was welcoming but busy of course. They have their hosts on one and their check out/pick up on the other. I was happy to see they put all 3 orders in separate bags and even checked over the orders with me. I rushed back to the apartment so the warmth of the food wouldn't go away. They gave each of the orders its bag of condiments filled with butter, syrup, ketchup, salt and pepper and forks. My food was really good but I forgot all about the gravy to my fried chicken. I made sure to ask for my home fries to be hard, it tasted good with salt and hot sauce. The pancakes was just enough to fill me up. I should of added cheese to my eggs and fries but next time. Server had no personality and didn't understand us very well. The menus were disgusting and needed to be cleaned. They over cooked the broccoli, the chicken sandwich had more breading than chicken. We Went to the Belair Road Diner today and ordered breakfast for two. We substituted the regular eggs for egg whites. OMG 10 dollars extra to substitute regular eggs for egg whites. I questioned the outrageous pricing with the waitress first. No response. I questioned the cashier second she ask the owner to provide an explanation. He began a two minute conversation about pork chops??? I am trying to get an answer as to why substituting regular eggs for egg whites is an up charge of 10 dollars. No one could provide an answer. Today is my last time dinning at the Diner. Yes the pandemic caused a decrease in revenues, however 10 dollars to substitute regular eggs for egg whites is pure greed. Tonight I went with a few friends. Our server was extremely hard to understand and not friendly at all. He missed some things we ordered, like fries with gravy and he brought plain fries. I've been here probably 2 or 3 times, and the food is okay, it's diner food. The lady who owns it or is the manager, and husband can have attitudes at times. I went during June when the restaurants were just opening up for inside seating because of Baltimore County going into the next covid recovery phase and ordered a burger and in my lettuce there was a bug probably a fruit fly. Understandable that produce is susceptible to small bugs like that but since they had recently opened up for inside traffic I was a little disappointed. read more

I can't say enough good things about this place. I was in a local hotel and could not eat out. My husband picked up our order and there was so much food, it made three meals for both of us! More important than the quantity, was the quality-it was delicious!! We liked it so much we ordered again a few days later and we were not disappointed. Everything is so fresh and delicious. Temps were perfect even though it was carry out and chicken noodle soup was amazing! We are already planning to come back when we are next in town. Do NOT forget dessert!!! Amazing! read more

The service was fine. But I really wish I read the reviews before wasting my money. I got the cream of crab soup, which was so thick. You could stick a spoon straight up in it, and it would not fall to the side. I got a Reuben, which was really an open face mess. The bread was soggy. And could not be eaten as a sandwich I had to ask for another plate, the french fries came cold. My granddaughter ordered blueberry pancakes, which were not fully cooked which she picked at trying to eat what she could. Refills of drinks were not offered. Nobody said goodbye to us or asked us how our meal was the waitress did ask if we wanted boxes for what we did not or should I say could not eat which we replied oh no heavens, no! It's really sad because the double T diner I thought was an icon of Baltimore. And any double T diner that we would go to would be good unfortunately, this is no longer true we will not be returning. read more

This place has changed, and not for the better. I understand after renovating prices will increase. However, 5$ for a plan bagel with baggie cream cheese is a bit much. The waffles used to have flavor, no longer and again raised the price. The waitresses attitude had much to be desired. Seems like the owners blew all the money on the failed land deal to move and not back into their staff or food. Was seated quickly and the restrooms are clean. We won't be back. I took two friends to the Double T Diner in Perry Hall for their birthdays. Our waitress was Deysi, and she was amazing! The food was delicious, the portions were huge (we all took food home), and I told her at the beginning of the meal that I was treating my friends to lunch for their birthdays, which are one week apart. At the end of the meal, she brought out a delicious piece of cake with strawberries and two candles! When we left, I realized I had left my cane and my one friend left her sunglasses. I turned around to go back in and Deysi was bringing the items out to us. Since my friends use walkers and I use a cane, it was nice to save steps. The atmosphere was pleasant; there were televisions on, but the sound was off (closed captions were on), so we didn't have to raise our voices to talk to one another. absolute worst diner experience. I immediately felt weird vibes from the moment I walked through the sticky doors. went to the bathroom and felt like i got gonorrhea from the decrepit toilet seat. There was piss on the floor, and mold on the sink faucet. It also wreaked of mildew. had to pinch my nose and squat over the seat just to relieve myself (basic human necessity). The staff was unwelcoming and seemed overall unhappy. one particular waitress was continually disrespected by her manager. extremely unprofessional manager. she gave white manipulative middle school math teacher vibes. She was also rude to the kind woman at the cash register. The male host treated the diner like his living room. he was staring at my friends and I the whole time and was yelling about a horse race on the TV. As diners go, this is a cut above most. If the wide selection of menu items is not enough, the portion sizes are very ample. No one need go away hungry from here. The service is prompt and pleasant even when busy -- which is quite often. The diner is clean-looking and the restrooms are as well. A word about the desserts. Worse breakfast ever. Bloody Mary mix tasted old. No celery, no olives as described on menu. My hash browns were burnt. My English muffin was burnt. By the time waiter checked in I wasn't interested in a replacement. They took it off the bill, but nobody really cared, whether I had liked it or not. Parking lot sucks. I do not understand why a kitchen will send out burned food. Cook sees it, line person sees it and the wait staff see it yet still serve it. Won't be back. read more

I get carryout frequently and I am the last person to complain. This diner is the absolute worst for carryout I have ever been. I was in the restaurant business for many years. I have never seen orders messed up mire at any other restaurant. After the 4th time of have an order screwed up in the last 2 months im done. I gave chances each time never complained. I am now. When calling to let them know they screwed up again ibwas told to come pick it up. That is unacceptable, then told they could nit refund my money on my c.c. unless I came in. Which was B.S. because two min later they were able to refund it. I know during covid it can be tough, however I have been to many restaurants in the area with no problems. Will never order here again they are hopeless. The person who answered the phone when I called actually blamed the young lady who took the order. I heard her tell her my name so that was a lue as well. When you only have 2 orders for carryout sitting on the counter this should nit be a problem. You had one job......
