I've reviewed Double T's in Baltimore before... about 3 different ones. So I'm going to keep this one brief because it's pretty perfectly consistent with the other ones (which is a great thing!) - this place is such a reliable diner. Truly east coast. Huge menu (really, really huge). Always from scratch and served hot. Quickly served and done the way you ask. Servers are all pretty quick on their feet, but not always (depending on who you get on what day of the week and at what time of day!). Excellent specials all day. The only thing I don't always enjoy is the payment process at Double T's... for some reason, they're all similar in this sense at different locations but the women/men manning the cash register aren't ever friendly. They seem distracted, too busy for you, just want to get the money and then to get on with it. It's strange and unappreciated, especially since I really love the actual servers at Double T. But as a diner, the food is really great and classic and consistent! (Since I'm not reviewing some expensive, fancy spot.... I'm still giving this place a 4-star rating for what it is! Terrible service. Our waitress couldn't remember who ordered what, not to mention giving my boyfriend the wrong meal, NOT TO MENTION how long it took which was unacceptable with it being so late at night. My water glass has a bug on it that clearly had been on the glass for a while. When our food got to the table the waitress forgot the garlic bread I definitely asked for , when I brought it up she told me that " if I wanted it I should've told her" Once we were ready to leave I asked for a box, and my box had a dead bug on it ! I left the box at the table with the bug circled as a present for the fifth we had received. Needless to say I won't be returning to this Diner ever again. read more

I got an open faced turkey sandwich, but all the food looked great. I will definitely be returning to this place.

We stopped by around 9pm. Got seated quickly but were pretty much abandoned after that. We both ordered the soup of the day... and then waited about 15 minutes for it to be served, and when it was, it was lukewarm. And for Italian wedding soup it tasted like they took yesterday's mixed veggies from a can and threw it in with some soup stock and a few mini meatballs. Not very appetizing or tasty. Not much else of our meal was much better. So this is pretty much just food if last resort. read more

The food was cheap and it was good. Our waitress on the other hand. I think her name was Vanessa. Older lady with short hair. Ask her questions about allergies, she looks at you like you have 4 heads. I was disgusted with my service. She drops the food down and just walks away as I was about to ask for hot sauce. Finally got the hot sauce after my food was done. I left no tip for her. She didn't deserve it. read more

This diner is everything a diner should be. It was so cute and quant and lovely. Huge display case of desserts, 15 page menu, all the bases covered. I got the chicken souvlaki. The sandwich was large, the meat was very tender and spiced well, and the sauce was great. My friend got the shrimp bisque, which was too congealed and definitely wasn't the healthiest option (though they do have tons of healthy options on the menu). Her club sandwich looked very basic too. The waitress was attentive and friendly. I wish this place existed in DC, I would go here all the time! read more

Delicious, my boy and I stopped in to a somewhat busy diner (always a good sign) for lunch. Seating and service was quick, plenty of room at the table and noise level was a low rumble and easily ignored. I had the Mexican Burger and my son with the Mushroom and Swiss. These 1/2 pound beauties were hand made and cook perfectly with the right amount of char and pretty pink inside. The entire experience was very good and I'm one to pick apart just about anywhere. My husband and I used to enjoy this place. They have a great selection and the food was always delicious. We stopped there Wednesday evening and the service and food were horrible. The waiter argued with me about my dinner choice and I had to show him the menu to prove my point. My husband wanted bacon bits on his baked potato and he had no clue what the were until I finally said bacon. Our broccoli was mostly stem and it was hard and cold. When the waiter asked how everything was we told him about this. He never said anything. About 20 minutes (as we were about to leave) he brought us more broccoli. Needless to say this was the last time we will go there. read more

My daughter's birthday was today and her Grandparents wanted to take her out for breakfast. We had a wonderful breakfast. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. The unique thing that happened that will make me now come to this restaurant anytime we go out for breakfast is that they paid attention to the fact that my daughter was opening her presents from her grandparents at the table and when we were finished they brought over a slice of cake with a candle in it and sang her happy Birthday!!! oh jeez, where to begin... im adam, and i am 12 years old. the first time i ate at double t was back when i was a baby. i came with my aunt for her birthday. i was so excited to visit the diner for the first time in a couple years. but the experience was very horrible. we had to asked the waiter twice each time we needed something. i ordered the american burger, and boy, was it horrible. the bun was burnt, the burger was, and the cheese was somehow burnt. how does that even happen? i was practically eating charcoal. this place has gone downhill. a lot. read more

BEWARE!!! This location is very Unsanitary!! I took my sons GF there for Breakfast last weekend..this was her first time there..I went to cut into my potatoes and a very long piece of black hair wsd literally wrapped around the potatoes and onions...it was sickening... The waitress called the mgr over..she just shrugged and laughed.."Do u want more food she asked.. The Double T Diner was a start of my Birthday celebration. After a late Movie in White Marsh. It was decided we would visit the Double T Diner. The menu selection was great. The food is really good. I have a thing for diner food. The menu is large but lack's solid description of meals. I seem to always have a problem with the service though. It's either super rushed or the waiter disappears for 40 minutes at a time. What really upset me is that a man collapsed the other day while my friends and I were having dinner and everyone just walked around him. No one stopped to see if he was okay, or to call an ambulance, the customers had to do it! read more

We asked for extra toppings on our various food items and our waitress got everything correct. She was very pleasant and fast with our service. The food was delicious and filling and freshly made. Not going to lie I didn't eat here but stopped in for a second to use the bathroom and found out that they were closed ... but they let us in to use the bathroom and they saw that my brother had a nasty gash on his knee and they did everything possible to help him feel better I wish I could've eaten there but there customer service was beyond spectacular 10/10 5 stars would recommend read more

This place was disgusting. I don't even know where to start, the whole restaurant was dirty. The menu was filthy, I mean totally covered in grime and crud. You can tell they NEVER wipe it off. My hands felt so nasty after looking through it that I had to go to the bathroom to wash up after I ordered. As I was washing my hands a waitress came out of the bathroom stall, and walked right out of the bathroom! SHE DID NOT WASH HER HANDS. Seated quickly and all the staff were extremely nice. The menu is HUGE - probably too big to be reasonable. Dislike that it's so expensive but LOVE that it's 24 hrs a day. You won't leave hungry. The portions are big enough to serve 3 adults. The quality of the food is really good especially for a diner.

Food was expensive, butgood, service was good. HOWEVER, at 9 a.m. some talk show was on about sex moves and cheating boyfriends. I asked the staff to change the channel, which took 10+ minutes. While waiting, I finally attempted to turn the TV off myself - my 12 year old was facing the tv, to which the hostess respondeded condescendingly "They're looking for the remote, SIR!". A hostess should NEVER be condescending. I understand we all have bad days; if that's the case, admit it and apologize. Don't expect I'll eat there again. read more
