The winery has no public facing store. I thought most wineries did. I didn't get the tour you can arrange (paid). But, you can go to the Bledsoe Family wine taste center on Main St. in Walla Walla (*except Mondays). These wines get premium prices. Downtown Walla Walla caters to the wine tourism crowd, so its nice. read more

Hardly know where to start, our experience, winetasting and touring double back winery was outstanding. We were greeted by our very knowledgeable, hostess and guide, KV. Upon greeting us at the door on a very hot day we were presented with chilled Chardonnay, which was fantastic, but just the beginning we were given a tour and wine tasting that can't be beat. The wine is absolutely outstanding. K V was a wonderful representative of that fantastic brand and we will definitely be back! I went to a tasting here last year. Was greeted in the parking lot with a Chardonnay (which I love!), and then continued on for a tour of the facility. When we sat down, we only had two (2) red tastings. Overall, our group felt like the price for the pours was too high. We asked for a white revisit, or even to purchase the white, and they were not able to pour or even sell to us. Overall, it was a beautiful venue, and I'm sure they do great events, but it wasn't worth the money for the tasting in my opinion. read more

Made a reservation for a shared tasting for four of us, one being a driver. Tastings are $50 per person. We were a little late as there are two Doubleback's in maps. Be sure to put in the address for the winery. The estate is nice and it's a working facility with bottling and storage of wine. The story behind the winery is interesting. We stated that we wanted only 3 tastings since we had a driver. Our hostess said she had a surprise for us and that the driver would not want to miss it, and he should grab a glass. She took us downstairs and gave us a taste out of a tulip, and showed us around the barrel room. From there she gave us two other pours and that was it. I felt like she should have only had our driver taste the barrel and be done, but she gave him a full tasting and charged him $50. Kind of sneaky and sly. He could have just shared rather than being forced his own tasting that he didn't want. The tasting does include a cheese plate. Our driver does not like Syrah, and that was one of the pours. So for $50 you get two pours and a barrel tasting. Not worth $50 in my eyes. The wines are good, but very pricey. read more

This would be a 3.5 star rating if I could. This was an unusual situation ...we got there and said we only wanted three tastings because we had a driver... she understood but then within 15 min we were invited to taste out of the "tulip" and she said our driver would really enjoy it so we said yes. Unfortunately we did not know that there were only 2 tastings included for the tasting fee... of $50 a person and one was a Syrah, which our driver does not like at all so he would have said a hard no if we knew that and knew he would be charged a full tasting no matter what. The fee includes a cheese plate. You want to call ahead and make sure the tasting meet your needs for the price. We felt a bit put off. And slightly deceived. Be clear with what they are offering when you make your reservation. read more

We were met at the door with a beautiful rose' welcome wine. Our host, Alex, spent a few minutes trying to get to know us -- our names, our level of wine knowledge, etc. We received a nice intro about Doubleback, then headed down to the cellar where Alex offered us samples from their unique concrete tulip. He then took us upstairs where he served a beautiful cheese plate and a small flight of their amazing wines. No sales pitch whatsoever! The wines are truly amazing. The winery is immaculate, beautiful and unique. But Alex... what a phenomenal host! I have worked hospitality in a couple of wineries. And I have had lovely private tastings throughout Europe, South America and across the USA. Alex provided a world-class experience all around and we cannot wait to visit with him again. For the $50 tasting fee we were able to do a barrel tasting along with two additional tastings back up in the tasting room. They also provided some cheese and crackers. My first glass/bottle of Doubleback Cabernet Sauvignon was during my first visit to their tasting room in Walla Walla back in 2016. That happened to be the 2014 vintage. Since then, every bottle I've opened has not disappointed. My only regret is that I didn't buy more! I am aging the remaining bottles of the 2014, 2015, and 2016 that are hidden away in my secret stash. They only come out on very special occasions! The other wines, Bledsoe Family Wine, Rose, Syrah, and Flying B are just as good. The winery and tasting room are always a joy to visit. Everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable about the wines and the area! This is a must-do if you ever visit Walla Walla, WA!! read more

How does this place not have more reviews?! My fiancé and I came here and we had the most amazing experience. We have been to some really fabulous wineries in various places and this was right up there! It's appointment only, so it's very intimate and you have the whole property to yourself. Our Doubleback employee who guided us was Alex and he was outstanding! He truly made this a top notch experience. I seriously cannot rave enough about how fantastic this place was. The service, the scenery, the design, the attention to details...everything! It's definitely a full on wine experience, not just a boring tasting that you can do anywhere. We visited Walla Walla for the Spring release weekend and wanted to enjoy a few tastings with some friends. We have enjoyed Doubleback and Bledsoe Family wines for quite some time so I decided to give them a call to see if we could set up a visit and tasting. Upon arrival, we couldn't have been more pleased at their new tasting and wine making facility in Walla Walla. The location was breathtaking and the new facility is incredible! They had our tasting experience prepared and it was well beyond expectation. By far the best winery experience we had for the weekend (and we visited some very nice wineries!). They were very accommodating, professional and incredibly genuine. It doesn't hurt that their wine is fabulous. Whether you visit the downtown or country location, its a must do on your next trip to Walla Walla! read more
