Great lunch experience at Double's! My server was very friendly and attentive (I think her name was CJ). I sat on the patio under the shade. It was a relaxing environment, great spot to get some work done while getting fresh air. I had the Greek salad with blackened chicken, all the vegetables tasted so fresh and delicious. The chicken was seasoned with paprika and other spices- so tasty! I got the Italian Hoagie to-go. It aged beautifully- tasted like it was just made! New location is beautiful, downside is limited parking and limited inside seating. We came at a peak lunch time and parked on the street, waited a little not to find an open table. Stopped in last night to eat, & it was packed. Went to outside bar & luckily got 2 seats. It took a few to get bartender Kim's attention but she was great. Kim, Tara, Ashley & Jeff really make a great team making sure everyone was happy with their drinks & food. We ordered a new item, spicy sweet Thai wings which we ordered xtra crispy. They were the best we ever had! My Cuban was also a true rival with Cuban Island down the road, who until last night was #1 for a Cuban sandwich. Was looking for a lunch spot on a day trip to satellite Beach with our dogs. Looked very appealing from the outside with a big open air patio. Got very busy while we were there and server did an excellent job tending to everyone. She was very friendly and efficient especially being the only server. Really cute spot to stop in for lunch. Pros: food was great diner food, prices are cheap, patio is really cute and loved that they have a splash pad for kids. Cons: the inside was closed, the tables outside are first come first serve so we had to wait awhile for one to open up, the service wasn't the best but I'm guessing they're short handed. I've been here twice and although it may look abandoned let me tell you that the food was fantastic, subs are filled to the brim with meats and cheeses- no fillers to compensate for lack of meat. They have a splash pad and the inside looks so nice but remains closed due to a shortage of employees. The last time I was there their was only one employee. A bartender, managing everything and he was so sweet given all he was doing. Will definitely be back. read more

Newly reopened - Very nice - Good food We ate at this place when it was across the street and have been anxiously awaiting their new building and reopening. Every time that we drove by the location they were very busy. Stopped by yesterday and found a parking spot (last one). Yes, parking is limited and the restaurant is popular. The inside is beautiful. Light and airy with high ceilings and plugs with USB chargers by many tables inside. There is seating inside and out. There is a bar outside and seating (without any shade) outside. You order at the counter and wait for your name to be called. We ordered a cheeseburger and a burger/steak wrap with sweet potato fries. The food came out very quickly and was delicious. Prices were reasonable, the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for people in the area to enjoy a good meal in a very pretty venue. read more

We ate hear twice during our visit over spring break. Outdoor dining (at the moment) but there is shade, picnic tables and a bar. There is also a drive through for on the go dining. The food is delicious (cheesesteak sandwich is amazing). Salads, sweet potato fries (regular waffle fries also), draft beer and refreshing iced tea. We really enjoy the food. We love the subs, salads, wings, and fries. We would go more often if there was more seating. I'm not sure why, but the indoor dining is still not open. I assume it is still due to COVID. There is not many outdoor tables and sometimes we prefer AC. We have gone twice recently and could not get a table so we went elsewhere. read more

I have been a doubles fan since I was a child. Now I bring my kids here. I would give this place 5 stars just because I've been coming here for 20 something years but, someone is getting sloppy. My hoagie was fine but my daughter ordered the nachos with chili and cheese. The chips were super stale and literally in crumbs. Is this how they come or did I just pay $6 for the bottom of the bag? It really ticks me off. You have bunch of teenagers working there who probably just don't care. And if your employees don't care, the food is going to get bad and people will stop coming. I love Doubles! They have some of the friendliest staff, great bartenders and excellent food for a great price. Now don't go here expecting a gourmet dinner.. This is a local joint where you can grab a drink and a cheap (very cheap) lunch or dinner Definitely get their waffle fries... I'm talking better than Chic Fil A!! Their homemade ranch is fantastic and the Mexican style salad is great if you wanna go the healthy route, just add some mahi for Xtra protein. Tip: order it blackened!! The tiki bar out back has live music every weekend and it's only 21 and up, great if you are looking to escape from your child for a while.. Lol... They have a great fire pit out in the back patio as well and if you are at the inside bar don't forget to ask them to spin the wheel on the hour (any hour) if it lands on the letter that your name starts with then you get a free drink!! Awesomeness!! My service dog loves this place as well and we go on a regular basis.. My only complaint is that one of the managers hates dogs and actually looked up the laws trying to figure out a way to throw me and my dog out..ummm... Rude! I have been here a lot of times over the years. The food is decent. The burgers are good as well as the waffle fries. The wrap sandwiches are good. You basically order at the counter, have a seat, wait for your name to be called, you go pick up your order, go to the condiments table, and bring your food to your table. There are no waitstaff on hand and that is fine by me. There are several seating arrangements. You have booths, tall tables with stools or you can sit at the bar and bring your food there. This place is very good for lunch. For dinner, don't expect fine dining but it is a good place to hang with some friends and have a decent meal. The atmosphere can sometimes be loud. The menu can seem limited but that is fine by me also. Bottom line: A decent place to have a meal. read more

Welcome back Doubles Beachside! We've missed you. My family is so happy Doubles has re-opened just down the street. Their menu is the same so we're all enjoying our favorites - the Ace, burger with racket fries and the Greek salad with Mahi added - Yum! Now that all restaurants are closed due to Coronavirus, the call ahead drive thru has come in handy several times. They are good when they make your food the right time, but you got about a 50/50 shot at them doing that here, and at the new location it's gotten worse. Unfortunately when they make a mistake they don't re-make your food, only take it to the back, scrape off what you didn't want and hand it back This has happened on multiple occasions with several things, and today was the last time of me finding soggy lettuce in a supposedly "remade" wrap. read more

It was good in the 90s. When it moved across the street I went once and there was a swarm of flies inside. Didn't go back for years until this past weekend at the new location. Waited half an hour for two sorry ass wraps to go, both of which were wrong. One was so full of mayonnaise (it was ordered with none at all) that I tried to feed it to my dog and even she wouldn't eat the God damned thing. They don't answer the phone to take care of it either. Basically this place and everybody who works there can go straight to hell. read more

Well as they say this isn't your mother's doubles anymore....apparently I have been gone too long as they changed locations about 25 years ago. Well the sandwiches were good as were the fries.....however the process and the people doing it left a little to be desired. Now perhaps it is they have a HUGE lunch crowd, in the dining area and the bar. The process is not intuitive as the big parking lot entrance has you walk past the smoke area (cough cough) and into the bar area. Once you get oriented you queue up and look over a menu and order. Find a seat and hope you hear your name called. Wasn't sure where to get the food but figured it out. The product was good, very good, but the process to get it left us wanting. Met the owner and he was friendly and wrapped up our sandwiches to go, did I mention we really liked the sandwiches? Next time it might go easier but ordering a sandwich shouldn't be such a foot fault....maybe we see if they do better on second serve. read more

We started coming here in 2012, literally every Sunday. We would get subs and watch some football then head over to Gleason park for a walk. It was kind of our weekly family tradition. The food is traditional bar style along with subs. There are multiple bars on site and it is a popular hangout on weekends for the drinking crowd. The place is needing some updates and the parking isn't great, but we didn't mind those issues. My husband loves their sandwiches and I enjoyed the wraps and fresh iced tea. Previously I would have given them 4-5 stars. Unfortunately we moved last year and had to stop our Sunday ritual. We have been back a handful of times in the year since we moved and the quality of food and service has gone considerably downhill. Fries and onion rings are served overlooked borderline burned and sandwich orders incorrectly made. It also looks like they stopped cleaning the place. It sucks to see a good place just stop caring. This is a local favorite and it's apparent by the clientele inside. I had heard many good things about this place and a friend got me a salad from here once, so I felt like it was time to give it a try. First and foremost the parking isn't great. Parking lot is full of potholes and I was worried about popping a tire before I even got into the place. The inside is huge as there were at least two bars, a gaming area and a giant condiment station in the middle of the place. The place looks a little dated and reminds me of a cafeteria a tad. Still not bad, but could definitely be improved. Ordering was pretty simple. Give your order, get a number, then get your food. Here is where most of my issues with Doubles began. As I said before, this place is fairly popular which means there actually weren't many places to sit. When we did find one, it was pretty apparent that no one had wiped ot down in awhile. I looked for other tables with the same exact result. So, I wasn't overly excited about that. The Burrito I purchased, the name escapes me, was basic. Nothing fantastic about it at all, it was bland and lacked anything special about it. The onion rings seemed like they were just frozen onion rings, but there's no way for me to know. I won't go on. For all the positive things I've heard about this place, I actually think that it's only a favorite because it's been around. If it were anywhere else, people might call it glorified cafeteria food in a similar environment and leave it at that. If you have a bunch of hungry kids or are in a rush like on lunch break from work, or are simply passing by I can see Doubles being a good idea. However, you won't catch me trying to go here again. read more

I was introduced to Doubles about 15 years ago and whenever I visit my hometown, I make sure to get a ham and provolone sub on white bread. This is the ONLY place where I will order a ham sub. For some reason, the ham that other sub-making-restaurants use is not appealing to me. Also, Doubles somehow tucks the other ingredients inside the ham slices and use a great, herbed oil on top of their subs. Besides subs, Doubles had great "Raquet (waffle)" fries, soups, salads, etc. It's a great family and friend hangout and they have pool tables and plenty of flat screen TV's to watch whatever sports game is on at the moment. For a more adult experience, Doubles has an adjoining tiki bar that has a relaxed, beachy atmosphere and live music. read more
