2 stars for the hotel: just when I thought that this hotel was perfect... A turn for the worst. It does not help when the floor you're staying at sounds like they're having a party. My room was in the fifth floor and our neighbors were blasting music from 2 AM to 4 AM and I called the front desk multiple times about the noise because I keep getting woken up by it. The music would've stopped for five minutes and it started back up again. Does not help that the girl next-door is coughing up a storm Hella loud, that the whole floor could hear her.... 5+ stars for Michelle: amazing customer service and friendly. I was a little nervous at first after reading the reviews. But once we arrived and seeing a lot of people check in I knew it had to be a good place to stay. The people up front were so nice and welcoming checking us in and we were even given a nice warm cookie. Are room was so nice and big better then I thought it would be. The jacuzzi bath tub was HUGE! I had some very expensive off-road lights stolen off my truck sometime during my stay. They had time and used tools to remove the lights from my truck. I stay at this hotel once a month for a crafting weekend. I usually get "average" service from the front desk but this past weekend I had a very upsetting experience with the manager on duty. The manager was Devin. She was extremely rude, condescending, loud and sarcastic. I questioned a policy that I was unfamiliar with (after staying at this hotel at least 6 times) and her response was "if you have stayed with us this many times you should know our policy". Not a way that a manager should speak to a customer. There were people in line to check in who also heard the interaction with Devin and they even mentioned to her that she was being rude. Very disappointing. I hope that management provides Devin with additional customer service training so that she can learn how to be more professional with customers. read more

Do we start with the young woman with the big nose ring telling us we didn't have reservations, because she couldn't spell a simple last name, or ask for a spelling? She seriously argued we did not have a reservation for four rooms, two nights, because she couldn't find it in her computer. She didn't ask for spelling (and we didn't offer, because the last name is first-grade simple to spell). We started to drive off property when I found the confirmation number printed on our itinerary (we're on a several state business trip where we're driving). We went back in, and her next claim was we only had one room, one night. Then, after a few minutes of stressing, she exclaims "oops, I wasn't reading the screen right, you do have four rooms for two nights." That's a relief (after causing us quite a bit of stress and two phone calls to the EA who booked the rooms). Then, once she found the rooms, she announced they were in the name of our EA (which was not correct). Our EA was not with us, she's at the home office in another state. So, we were told we couldn't check in, because the four rooms were in her name. After having driven between 17 cities in 46 days, and a vast number of hotel rooms, this would be the *only* property our EA had made a mistake. I don't think she did. I think the hotel reservations person made an error. However...because the rooms weren't in our names, we were told we couldn't check in. We called our Executive Assistant, who insisted the rooms were booked in our name, but regardless, please just set us up with our rooms. We've been driving for six hours, we just want our rooms. Nope...gotta have the manager do it. So, our EA had to call the manager directly, on his office number, to explain that the rooms are for the people standing at his front desk. On top of all that, the girl at the desk couldn't figure out how to attach my Bonvoy membership, because the room was booked by our EA (although that reservation was canceled and rebuilt in my name). Very frustrating. After waiting for 30 minutes while they worked this out, we eventually got to our rooms. Rooms are nice, recently refreshed (this was previously a doubletree), and the rooms are clean. So...this would be a one-star review for the staff, but the rooms are worth a couple stars, hence the rating. We won't return. read more

So I booked a room for Sunday night March 15 departing March 16 as me and my family were going to Disneyland on the 16th. Due to the corona virus Disneyland announced that they were closing the park on Monday March 16. I called the hotel and AAA to cancel the room and get a refund. Long story short the hotel denied the refund and said it was non refundable. SO THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT YOUR PATRONS! What a shame! So well known and you stoop to this level! I sure hope people reconsider staying at your hotels as you have no sense of compassion for people in the midst of a pandemic. People are Losing their jobs and you won't reimburse the room fee! SHAME ON YOU! I for one will not ever patronize any of your hotels and I will certainly spread the word. read more

Currently staying at the DoubleTree in Fullerton. I got a suite and i will say the room is nice. A little humid but whatever. But the breakfast is overpriced for terrible food. I wouldn't even eat it if it was a free continental breakfast. They do NOT offer complimentary water for their guests. You can dehydrate and die or purchase a water bottle for 5.00. Come on Hilton.... Do better. I just drove cross country and you are literally the ONLY hotel that didn't offer a continental breakfast and complimentary waters for their guests. I'd expect this from a place like beverly hills but let's be honest.. we're in one of the worst parts of Fullerton. Definitely won't be coming back. read more

My husband and I arrived at this location after having been at a Hilton Garden Inn in Calabasas for two nights. After the way we were treated at the HGI we were most definitely considering dropping our long standing relationship with Hilton Hotels. We did not feel valued as people, guests or Hilton Honor members. See my review about that property for further details. We did arrive at this property prior to the 4 pm stated check in time without having to pay the extra $75 (like we were told at the HGI) Needless to say we did not have any high hopes or expectations when we arrived at this location. Our impression and opinions of Hilton Hotels was completely reversed due to one individual who definitely made us feel valued as people, guests and Hilton Honor members. That was the front desk clerk TONY. He went so far out of his way to make us feel welcomed and I observed him treating other guests in the very same manner. TONY is an asset to the Hilton Hotel brand. The people at the HGI Calabasas could and should take lessons from TONY on how to treat guests. Our thoughts about dropping our commitment to the Hilton Hotel chain was changed due to the way we were treated and respected by TONY. read more

This spot is a nightmare; avoid it like the plague! Ray at the front desk has horrible service and refused to check me in on my wedding night because supposedly third parties cannot pay for a room. My brother in law had paid in advance for me as a wedding gift and he was charged $300 and he notified them it was a gift for me. They were quick to charge the card and never let me in. I asked to speak with a supervisor and Ray at the front desk said he was in charge (doubt it). Avoid this hotel because the people there will ruin your night. read more

We stayed in a room with a jetted tub. Apparently the spillage traveled all the way down to the lobby. Goes to.show how unstable the building is. Not like we were diving into the tub! I love this hotel! I've stayed here about 6 times so far, and last night's stay was the BEST! Room #201, is the only one I'd request from now on. The manager on duty is always kind on the phone and helpful at check-in. The stay included 2 alcoholic beverages, in the lounge area, from 5-7 PM. There's a snack area, on site, and a restaurant, with limited hours. Denny's is also in the same parking lot, and a fast food, Mexican place. The room had a gorgeous jacuzzi tub, a separate seating area (with sleep sofa, desk, & table). The shower was gorgeous and had two entry and exit doors. The room had a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. We'll be back! read more

We rented a room here . Definitely below average motel 6 quality. The room had a jetted tub/jacuzzi. I got charged because allegedly the water leaked into the bottom floors. Goes to show how old and unstable the construction is that it wouldnt sustain normal amount of water from stepping in and out of the tub! That explains the moldy smell at this hotel. Never again will i stay there. I cant believe it is a hilton hotel. The staff was rude right from the beginning. read more

Every suite has a jacuzzi tub. Bingo! The beds here are like sleeping on a heavenly cloud of comfort, even the pillows are perfect! Rooms are always immaculate and fresh feeling. It's a really nice place to stay. I'm probably giving it more stars that I should only because it is so comfortable and reasonable for what you get. The location is odd, but it works. It is really close to the freeway and a few eating joints (oh yeah, try Pepe's on the same parking lot!). No real views from any side of the hotel and parking really sucks a lot. They have a parking structure but there are not nearly enough spots for all the guests and there's really no parking around the hotel (all reserved for Denny's or other places). There is, however, a nice quaint bar downstairs with TV for sports watching and socializing plus a little restaurant for hotel meals. Up in the rooms you'll find a decent flat screen TV, refrigerator and coffee maker, roomy bathrooms and self standing shower. And then there's the tub. I really like the huge tub, biggest I've seen in a hotel, enough for 2 or maybe more depending on how you want to sit. It's as big as a jacuzzi tub that you'd have in your backyard but it's not quite the same... it's more an oversized (really oversized) bathtub with jets. You have to fill up with a ton of water and even then it's not quite over the top jets so it's awkward and noisy.... but it feels really good anyway and a nice addition to the room if you want to get cozy. There's a nice little ledge around the edge to put your music and some candles (not sure if they'd like knowing that we use candles, but we are safe with them), and even room for your bottle of bubbly or little ice chest of brews. This place is great for a semi-romantic get-away or a nice little cozy place to rest overnight. CHEERS!! read more

All in all, this was a decent place to stay. However...if you are not on the same schedule as your suite mate...if anyone goes into the bathroom after dark and turns the light on, the light will stream through the obscure glass that separates the bathroom from the jacuzzi-tub in the bedroom part of the suite. This is astonishingly bright at 0dark30... The bed was good. The wifi worked. We got adjoining rooms, which is great when traveling with the (older) kids. Good location right by CSUF. Great BBQ joint next door, Leadbelly's. Maybe if you bring one of those sleep masks, this would earn another star? (One of the folks at the reception desk really rubbed me the wrong way one of the days, too.) read more

It's only ok. I don't know what the other reviewers are talking about as far as excellent service. I found the front desk to be average. The beds in my room were so old!!! There were very uncomfortable & I was sleeping in a hole in the bed! They have mattress covers over the Mattress, but it did little to help the hole in the bed. Had 2 beds in the room, both were that way. The hallways have a musty smell to them. The price is good for a hotel these days. read more

I've liked this place since the pre-Holiday Inn days. This time, though, I had to stay in a wheelchair-accessible room, which was set up pretty nicely. Staff was friendly as usual. One problem: The chef unexpectedly did not show up for the first hour of dinner, which meant room service was not available. As I was very hungry this irritated me to no end, and I had to wheel next door to Denny's instead of getting the rosemary pork chop I was anticipating. The manager made up for it the following day, but still very annoying. Breakfast, however, was terrific. And a minor quibble, there didn't seem to be easy to reach outlets in the room...the were a couple on the lamp on the desk, but they were very loose. read more

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel. GREAT SERVICE!!! We originally stayed at another hotel nearby but after the first night of smelling smoke and weed, we ended up cancelling the rest of our stay there so we were desperate for another hotel fast. I read the reviews at this Holiday Inn and called them right away. Was greeted by a LeighAnn over the phone. Told her that I wanted a regular size fridge as we have kids and would need a lot of space to put their gallon of milk and groceries. She was able to find a one-bedroom King size Suite available and reserved it for us right away. I got there in less than 30 minutes and the checkin process was quick. Upon checking in, they gave us 4 vouchers for complimentary drinks over happy hour. My husband and I didn't get a chance to use them but I thought that was a nice touch. Hotel was pretty quiet. The room itself was big enough to host all of us and it was clean. It was really nice that they had all the kitchenware, from pots, pans, dish scrub/soap, plates, utensils, cutting board...everything you would need to cook up a nice meal. We got the corner suite so we had a 180 view of the city. The King bed was super clean and comfortable. When I took my girls to the 2nd floor pool area, we were the only ones there which was very nice. There were also 2 ducks just hanging out by the poolside...guess they were also on vacation! lol. Right by the pool was a decent gym where my husband was able to do a little workout after he got home from work. A plus was a separate laundry room for the guests. I was able to put our swimsuits in the dryer so that we can wear it for the next day's swim. You have to bring your own laundry detergent but you can use the machines for free! There was 1 washer and 1 dryer that looked brand new! No coin laundry here. After our swim, it was nice to relax in the indoor jaccuzi tub in our own room. My girls had a blast. Parking was simple and secure. You can park anywhere in the parking basement or around the premises without needing to put any type of permit. Denny's restaurant is also a 5 minute walk and other local places to eat as well. I will definitely stay here again and would recommend it to all of my friends. I can give them a NEGATIVE 10, I would! When you stay in the hotel, one of the most important thing besides the room is the attitude and service. This has been the WORST WORST WORST hotel I have ever stayed in my life being travelled more than 30 countries in the world. we checked with Michelle and were told our room Came with jacuzzi tub, After we checked in, there was no jacuzzi tub. Then I called her to change the room, then she said she can't since we already checked in. So she offered two complimentary breakfast. But when we went to the restaurant, They made me feel like we are criminals that we wouldn't want to pay for $11 breakfast when we were promised the complimentary breakfast at the first place ( it was written on the note in the computer) Then they still charged us afterwards. My assistant and I called back to ask for the credit, and and they still wouldn't reverse the charge back. Also, There is a thing call "honesty" and "reputation and I'm not sure where they are standing on it. It's either the company that has problem or they should trained their employees much better especially "Michele". Be careful when you talk to her. Because promised doesn't seem to mean anything to these people. I will NEVER come back again even if you pay me. read more

This Holiday Inn & Suites is very unlike any of their other locations. Normally, I don't like staying at the Holiday Inn because they're usually kind of outdated and uncomfortable. But you know what, I actually quite enjoyed staying here! Stayed here for 4 nights. Convenient location near the 57 freeway, Cal State Fullerton (but like on the other side, so traffic isn't as bad), and plenty of eateries. I mean, c'mon, In-n-Out and Sonic are both less than a 5-minute drive from the hotel! I think parking can be more convenient. The spots are kind of small if you have an SUV. There are also no elevators connecting the upper or lower parking structure to the hotel, so if you have a lot of bags, make sure you drop them off at the lobby area prior to parking your car. But you know what, at least it's free! I'm surprised at how quiet the location is. For being near the freeway and a college, I don't hear ANYTHING. I'm a very light sleeper, so this has been such a positive experience. The room was very spacious! I do wish the fridge and microwave were placed in the living room though. Kind of strange that they placed it to the side of the bed, in a very inconvenient location despite how spacious the room is. I don't like hearing the hum of a fridge when I'm sleeping, but that's just my preference. Bathroom is very nice. Water pressure is excellent and it gets hot relatively quickly. AC is only in the bedroom part of the room though, so it does get kind of warm in the living room area. The curtains could be better - doesn't really pull together anymore. I need to bring binder clips with me, lol. The mattress is on the softer side, but still firm enough to support your body; I didn't sink in or wake up with back pain. Always a plus. This has been a pleasant hotel for my business trip. read more

Better than what I was expecting. The staff were helpful and friendly. Complimentary breakfast was actually pretty good. Got to. Check in before the check in time. I had a room with a Jacuzzi tub. The jets on the tub worked (to my surprise) and made for a nice soak. However installation of the tub/shower combo resulted in pooling water on the bathroom floor. Not a big deal, other than the water damage it has caused (visible on the bathroom ceiling), and continues to cause. They have had very friendly employees, and they ALL are extremely helpful, from the front desk, housekeepers, to the morning food service(free and a good selection of breakfast items)! The manager Steve.accused. me after 3 years of being a loyal guest at this hotel of smoking in the room he lied that my room was inspected when I was in the room the whole day it never happened .my room was run down and falling apart its smelled like broken Sewage the toilet was leaking and people next door smoking weed. They said nothing all the managers and employees know me very well they see me come down to smoke all the time yet Steve downright lied to my face if my room was inspected I would not have slipped and fallen on the broken toilet or the fan above would not have fallen terribly disappointed in his unpredictable behavior read more

When I was a student at CSUF, my parents would stay here whenever they visited, and it was always reasonably priced, clean, and had all the amenities they needed for a quick weekend visit. It's definitely a no-frills sort of place (although I don't think they advertise as such), but the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the pool is definitely a nice touch. It's not terribly different from any other Holiday Inn you've ever stayed at, so if you liked any other Holiday Inns, then you'll like this one, too! It does book up pretty quickly around the beginning of the school year and around graduation, so make sure you or your loved ones plan their trips accordingly! read more

Be very careful of the surcharges that are not listed in the catering menu. They wanted to charge us for serving the plate to the tables when we were never advised that we would need to pay for that, from the beginning we were clear that we didn't want a buffet style meal, we stirred away from the buffet selections in the menu and we went with an entree. When asked for clarification the sales department reps were useless and rude. For being a service business they definitely could use some guidance on how to properly inform the customer upfront of the total costs of event and then on how to listen to the concern and offer solutions. read more

BEDBUG CENTRAL! Thought it would be a nice place to rest our heads for a night before our 6hr car ride back home...3am came around, and we got out of there when we realized what was sleeping in our bed with us!! I've never felt so disgusted in my life. The second I turned on the light, there was a big freshly blood gorged bed bug on on the cover by my eye!! As my husband and I looked around we counted at least 7 more before we couldnt even bear it any longer and booked it out of there. There was blood stains on the bedsheets from us smashing some while we slept horribly anyway due to the stomping coming from the room above. This level of hotel nastiness took the cake. We were so itchy from just the thought of them feasting on us. Before we went in the bed, we looked just to make sure nothing was in there. If you know anything about bedbugs, unfortunately, that wasn't enough to tell because they come out to suck your blood while you sleep- kinda like mosquitos but you can't see them til their enormous and full of fresh blood. I just got home a little bit ago and am writing this review. We had to launder everything in scalding hot water including ourselves. Apparently, a rash or welt one gets from being bit doesn't show up for several hrs later or even a day of 2 later, so we will deal with that when that comes. Needless to say, we are NEVER coming back here or ANY HOLIDAY INN for that matter. Paying extra money for a nicer hotel is worth it. They gave us a refund- whooptido... they should since we even saved a live fat bedbug in a plastic bag for the front desk guy who claimed he didn't know anything about a bedbug issue! They need to burn all the bedsheets and linens, and fog the whole hotel for starters. SLEEP HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK...of course, if getting bit while you're sleeping is your thing, keep calm and snooze on! read more

As an act of foresight regarding my graduation from University, my family and I got two rooms here so we wouldn't have to worry about parking and getting to the ceremony on time. Reservations: Done online. A little bird told me that this can't be done in-person anymore. ---sigh Check-in: Painless. Asked me for ID (standard) and a card (for incidentals). Did not give me a hard time. Room: Clean clean clean. Smells good. Customer service: Very accommodating. Supplied us with frills like toothpaste, lotion and toiletries at no extra charge. Helpful on the phone. Pluses: Made sure we got a crib for our little one. Made sure we parked at the right spot while we went to my graduation. There's a full bar at the lobby. They had a restaurant that serves breakfast early (630 AM). There was a jacuzzi in the room with the king-sized bed. There was a Denny's by the parking lot if the food here wasn't to your liking. There were other dining venues within walking distance in every direction if Denny's wasn't up to par. Minuses: They told me they couldn't guarantee the crib until check in. I don't know how they made this work. I called, and they told me that it shouldn't be a problem, based on the guests they have scheduled to have that weekend. Still, because having a crib was on a first-come first-serve basis, they still couldn't guarantee it. I didn't like this policy. They have to re-examine this. Verdict: I'm done with school. I'm so glad to be --- oh, sorry. You want my verdict on the HOTEL, not my own hooey. Sorry. Verdict is by my star rating. I like this place, and I've been to a lot of hotels/motels in my life. I'm rating the rooms, staff, bar and night time entertainment. We have stayed at this location several times, we love the staff, always very help and very friendly. Very clean rooms and hotel all around. Location is very convenient right off the freeway. The bar area is very nice, great bartender, he never forget us and always helps us quickly, we love Milo, he's very helpful and friendly as well. The evening Music entertainment by Matthew, is always great. He is a great entertainer, keeps the fun going. Sometimes he has other musicians around to join in, which is great. One of our favorite things about this location is our nightly music with Matthew. read more
