I stayed here when I visited my brother for his film premire at chapman university, it was also my birthday weekend. I went to disneyland for my 30th birthday, I needed to print out the tickets and I was able to do it on the guest computer. I enjoyed my stay and it was a nice clean room. I liked that the motel was walking distance to the university and Bruxie. It was about a 15 minute walk and there are small coffee shops around as well as restaurants. My mom and I wanted to stay here again for my brother's graduation the following month, but it was sold out the weekend of the Chapman graduations. read more

Visited 09.2025 for 1 night. Full disclosure: I have been a guest services manager for decades, so I have both very high standards and also forgive some things other people might get annoyed by. Was able to get a AAA discount at almost the last minute. The staff was terrific, although when the housekeepers saw anyone coming, they ducked away. That wasn't cool. I wasn't even looking for them, just crossing over to the stairs to get to my room & they scurried like cockroaches in the light as soon as they saw me heading their way. (There is no elevator, btw, so if you cannot do stairs ask for the 1st floor.) The staff attendant at the breakfast was so fabulous. She was really interested in ensuring guests knew what was available and making recommendations when asked. I expected packaged bagels and Costco muffins, but it was a full, freshly cooked buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs, toast, potatoes, etc. Or cereal, if you prefer. Very well done. The room was very clean & they even had a bedbug cover for the mattress, always nice to see. The only problem I had with the room was that the a/c needed to be kept at 66 & on 24/7 to cool the room to a reasonable temperature, but when I did that it worked. Part of the problem, I think, is that there is NO SHADE AT ALL, so the sun was blaring onto the a/c. Bring sunscreens for your car because it WILL get very hot. The parking lot is very well lit and felt completely safe. In the morning, I was transferring to a hotel on the Disneyland property, so I left the BW at about 7:30 a.m. -- rush hour and the drive was less than 20 minutes, no freeways necessary. So, great price, excellent location, terrific staff. Also it was an easy check-in and check-out & the manager who assisted was pretty much perfect. Would stay here again. read more

This was a very clean hotel inside and out. The rooms looked "almost" new overall. There was a chair and ottoman in the room but no place to actually use it. One bed sank in areas and the other was good , soft and comfortable. They do have a fairly decent breakfast and the menu changes every day. This morning they had baked beans, we didn't understand beans for breakfast but I ate them and I liked them! We will be staying here again in 2 weeks and I'll give an update on this next stay. read more

Joana at the front desk was super friendly and accommodating, we got a hiccup with our original room and she upgraded us so kindly.

They were super accommodating and worked with us to get us the best rooms available. The room was nice and the air conditioners work amazing especially with how hot it was outside. They provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the wall pumps. The rooms are clean and well kept. Was only a 10 minute Uber from Disney. read more

We had a VERY TERRIBLE experience at this hotel!!!! DO NOT GO FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!!!!!! I'm writing down our experience to worn everyone who is thinking about going. Their staff is VERY RUDE, the hotel is dirty, smells bad and we spotted a 7CM ROACH!!!! The shampoo box was broken on the edge with huge cracks and caused injury on my husband's forehead during taking the shower. IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS!!!!! Their staff did NOTHING, NOT EVEN AN APOLOGIES. I'm warning you with our true experience. DO NOT GO FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!!!!!!!! My husband and I, as well as 2 friends booked 5-nights (8/8-8/12) at the Best Western Orange Plaza hotel, room 218. After finding A LARGE COCKROACH, SUPER DISGUSTING!!!!!! in our room on the third night, 8/10, we reported to the front desk staff Jay that we were uncomfortable. We couldn't stay in that room any longer. Jay had a terrible attitude, and he refused to issue a full refund. He looked at the picture and say "yes, that's a roach. What do you want me to do? Do you want me to catch it???" VERY RUDE!!!!! HE DID NOT EVEN SAY "SORRY" FOR ONCE!!!!!! He then came to the room reluctantly with his bare hands and NO CLEANING TOOLS. He took one flyer on the desk and try to reach to the bottom of the desk, then he looked at us saying "Where is the roach???" We told him the roach was running so fast and it hidden under the TV stand. He looked at us and say "Do you know this TV stand can't move?" as of this was our fault. HOW RUDE!!! (He even tried to deny that there were roaches, saying "he didn't see them"). And then he looked at us just like "What do you want me to do then?" The most ridiculous thing is that when we mentioned "roaches", he even corrected us saying "It's A ROACH, not ROACHES". We demand a full refund of the 3 nights because the roaches could have been there for 3 days already and it could ly eggs in our suitcases, and we could have taken them back with us. The front desk staff Jay refused to do that, and he said he can only transfer us to a smaller room right next to the roach room (which is highly likely infected as well), or we can just leave in the middle of the night. As it was too late and there weren't any other hotels available, we had no choice but to move into room 219 at that point. After moving everything into room 219, my husband Lei took a shower late at night around 1am, and it was slippery in the bathtub. He didn't notice there was a sharp edge on the top left corner of the shampoo box, so when he used it to take the shampoo out, the box fell down and injured his forehead. He got 2 obvious redness and swelling, and felt dizzy, especially after being shocked again. He had to lay down and go to sleep because it was 2 am in the morning. We reported to the front desk, and AGAIN, THEY DID NOTHING. There was another staff at the front desk by the time, his name is Dave. Dave is not as rude as Jay. He came to the room and took a look at the shampoo box and then said "Oh, it's a bad design, but I can't do anything." NO SINGLE APOLOGISE. We checked out of the Best Western Orange Plaza hotel this morning at 8/11, and had to find another hotel to stay tonight, which was much more expensive (3 times more expensive) since it was a last minute booking, causing us further damage. We were told the manager Michael Nuño was not on call during the days when we stay, so we cannot speak to him directly. A different employee, Dave, said their manager would call us at around 10 am. However, we waited for a day and he didn't call. I called the hotel the same afternoon and asked for the manager, but another staff member said the manager would not be on site until 8/12. They never called on 8/12 either. It's been 3 days now and Michael Nuño never called us. Even tho their staff Dave told us 5 times that Michale will contact us on the morning of 8/11. WE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY CALLS FROM BEST WESTERN ORANGE PLAZA EVERY SINCE, NO SINGLE APOLOGISE, NO REFUND AT ALL. read more

Stayed here April 19-21. My colleague and I told the front desk agent at check in that we wanted to split the cost down the middle and we each provided our credit cards. I received a notice on my Amex of that charge on April 20. On April 22 I received another notice stating that I was charged. Surely it was a mistake so I didn't check my statement until April 26 and yes indeed I was charged for the full amount via 2 transactions and my colleague not charged at all. Called the hotel on the 27th and was told the manager would have to handle this and he would not be in until 8am on the 28th and he would contact me. Well no response so I called a bit after noon and he hasn't even attempted to correct anything. So I asked him to handle it and he could call me back after 330. I had some time at 320 so i called and his "solution" is to just get the cash from my colleague. That's not my responsibility or what we had agreed to at check in. If he wanted to give me cash he would have done so April 19. He wanted his card charged as his family pays his credit card bill. Cash would mean he's paying me out of his pocket. As a diamond select member I'm appalled at the low level of service. I didn't even get welcome check in goody bag or acknowledgement of the status and now being treated this poorly and expecting me to fix a mistake their front desk agent made. manager wants me to do the work when they could easily handle the situation after they made the mistake to begin with. read more

Talk about a pleasant surprise! This place was absolutely fantastic. The room, the staff, the parking was the best $110 I've spent in a while. Keisha was great. The manager Michael was great (thanks for the water). But, if you can, get the room with the king sofa bed. Very cool set up. Best Western has really done a nice job of raising their game. The only hiccup was that the controller didn't work for the TV in the second room with the pull-out bed. But, I didn't spend any time in there, anyway. Overall, I highly recommend this place if you're looking for inexpensive, quick stays. read more

BEDBUGS!! We stayed here in Aug 2024 and came out with bedbug bites all over our face and bodies. Bedbugs are expert hiders and hitchhikers, and even after we washed and sprayed everything once we realized we were attacked (bedbug bites don't show up for 48 hours after they bite) , they have infested our home and we are struggling and suffering through this disgusting and stressful process. Never ever stay here. We are very clean people and are living a nightmare. read more

I forgot a pair of shoes in one of there king bed + sofa bed room. Called the next day and they said there room service staff didn't report anything and to call the next day. If they didn't report it that day what makes them think they will report it the next day? Anyways it was a brand new pair of Adidas. Decided to take a break away from home for a night and have a treat of a nice room. Been to this Best Western a couple times before several years ago and remembered it being pretty nice. The hotel didn't disappoint this time other. Clean modern room and amenities and plenty of towels. Plenty of options TV wise too...much more then most of the places I've stayed. I also want to add I've stayed at plenty of places that charge more for far less quality so this Best Western was a really good price for the value. I'll definitely stay there. read more

To begin, I love the location of this place. It's nice looking from the outside, the price is good, it's convenient to LOTS of things, and the rooms are nicely done. Room 105 had an odd hole in the wall behind the TV, but other than that it was nice. However, the AC unit in the wall was the killer for us. It cycled up and down every few moments, making odd noises while doing so - wheezy, rumbly noises that were pretty darned intrusive. My wife was unable to go to sleep with that racket, and we finally cut our losses and left a bit before midnight. FWIW, this was in room 105. When we turned off the AC, we got the traffic and pedestrian noise from the Saturday night crowd. The front desk clerk promised to cancel the last two nights of our aborted stay. That was a decent thing to do. I'm sorry it didn't work out. read more

I grew up in the hospitality industry for 30 years and we had a Best Western for a good portion of that time. I'm familiar with BW room expectations and how rooms in general should be cleaned. After rooms were cleaned by housekeepers, I always went through each room to make sure nothing was forgotten and it was cleaned to a high standard. We reserved 2 rooms. Rooms look like they've been renovated with modern look. Floors to both rooms were FILTHY GROSS. There's no carpet. It's all tile and vinyl. The floors clearly were not vacuumed and mopped. Staff in the lobby were nice and professional. Suggestion for the managers - check-in on the housekeepers to make sure they're doing a thorough job of cleaning. Guests should be able to walk on the floors with socks on and not collect crumbs and other people's hair. Socks shouldn't be turning black. With this establishment being a smaller location, it's doable. read more

We have stayed here on two occasions and enjoy it very much. Clean rooms, incredibly good service and in a fantastic area. We just love staying here, with the nices staff. Stayed here for 3 nights (4/27- 4/30) for our Disneyland trip. We checked in at 1:30 am and the man at the front desk was friendly and awake which was refreshing since we were exhausted from our drove from San Jose Ca. They even have sodas, waters snacks, meds and cup noodles for sale. Cheap too, $1 for most. He even came to the room to unlock the second room door after my 4 year old locked it. We stayed in the 2 queen beds and separate full bed room. The beds seemed to be the same sizes to me. I couldn't figure out if they were queens or fulls. Rooms were clean and stocked. Only complaints were the pillows aren't great, our bed was a little noisy and the walls are paper thin since my sister heard my husband snoring and the neighbor's breathing at night. That is why the removal of one star. Everything else was great. They have lil push containers for the sink and showers with shampoo, soap, body wash and conditioner. Nice. Housekeeping- good. They came and restocked on towels, toilet paper. They did the beds and took trash and used towels. Nothing else was moved, go e through or touched (other than our personal towels, blankets and pillows, which they folded or arranged nicely on our beds). Breakfast- loved it. It was so fresh and clean. They had the waffle machine. Yay!!!!! The ladies working there were so sweet and attentive. They refilled everything before it ran out. Never waited for anything. It was small but they cleaned the tables quickly and didn't have a problem with you taking food with you. This is a 10 minute drive from disneyland. Even with paying $20 for parking on both days at the parks we still saved $80 overall on what we would have paid to have a 15 minute walk to the parks. Overall, nice experience with my first best western visit. Will definitely book here fir any further Disneyland trips. read more

I am not one to complain or write bad reviews even if I've experienced it but this time there were just way too many minor inconveniences and issues. First of all, we arrived and were able to check in a bit early. Check in is at 3 and we checked in around 2:50, which is great. But by the time we were done checking in, our room wasn't ready yet. First we were told maybe around 5-10 mins. Then the lady at the desk says "once you see that door close that means they are done". I go to check and ask one of the room service ladies and she says it will take an hour. I go back to the front desk and she confirms it will take an hour. 5-15 mins I understand but an hour after check in is just very inconvenient. then the front desk lady tells me rooms are upon availability, which I understand if we hadn't prebooked this room. Second, later then night we ask for 6 more towels. There are 5 of us in the room and only 3 given towels. I asked for 6 bc I just wanted a few extra to save myself a trip to ask for more the next two days but when I ask first thing the front desk lady asks me is "um why do you need 6?"I think that as guests, there is really no reason to ask that. Honestly if she just had said they were short and apologized for the inconvenience it would have been fine. But the fact she even asked that made me feel a certain way. She proceeds to tell me that a family of 9 went to the beach and took a lot of towels and said somewhere along the lines of I know this isn't your problem but we're short. Once again, I understand that you may be short but there just wasn't enough accommodation for this. She offered to give us the two left over towels they have and a bath mat which obviously i can't be pleased with. She gave us the two towels but no bath mat. Then I ask for it and she says "let's go take a trip" ... like what?? She wanted for us to go to the laundry room with her to get the bath mat at like 11pm. I'm sorry but this is just not good customer service and care. I can see she means well and she was not rude in any way. In addition, the sink water is not the cleanest and it also clogged easily. It took a few seconds for the water to go down. In all clean hands, the water appeared to be whitish or kinda foggy. The two stars is for the layout and room itself. It was spacious and had a good amount of beds. The bathtub shower was also relatively really nice. It was spacious and the water pressure is good. Stayed here not too long ago and I had the craziest experience reason why we got this hotel was because of the reason it was near orange bars and clubs so we decided to take a whole weekend off to enjoy ourselves apparently according to one of the employees we had got two rooms and there was at least six people there mind you two of them were waiting for the Uber to get picked up because they were intoxicated and they decided to call the police on us saying that we had threw a party and mind you this employee that was on the clock dares to come in our room without a key at 2 in the morning like that's the thing to do! He did promise our money back if we end up leaving at that exact moment which one hour later we were gone. Did not receive refund and we got charged 100$ on top for them calling the police. The next morning I called to reassured that we were going to get our refund and they treated me horribly over the phone mind you I am black and Mexican and I felt discriminated by the two men one was middle eastern and I'm sure the other one was Mexican. At a time like this I feel like We should all be in this together and not be against each other Another thing I will be concerned about other peoples safety if they don't mind you driving leaving their hotel intoxicated, but rooms were nice read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. We checked in on Sun the sixteenth of July. The lady working around 4pm was excellent and was very helpful and an excellent employee who informed us about breakfast. The lady working breakfast was very rude. Never went to a Best Western that served and rationed food. We each had 2 plates and wanted to take one upstairs to our son that was not feeling good and could not go downstairs to eat. She denied us a plate while the man before us had two plates and took three to go. My wife wanted a bagel with creme cheese and wanted to make it home until we told her we don't like people touching our food. I got upset and talked to the desk clerk who was rude and told me that you can eat as much as you want. He really did not want to address the situation. Long story short not only will I never stay here again but I will be sharing this situation with all of my 10000 or do followers on social media. We could have stayed in any other hotel in the area but we choose Best Western because of great experiences we have had in other locations, never again. We should be refunded for this. read more

For a budget place, I really liked this Best Western. We got a place with two rooms - One with a king and the other with a double, which was great. It felt like a mini-suite and considering I was on a business trip, was great for entertaining people in the main area, yet still having the privacy of one's own bedroom. It was also extremely clean, comfortable, and the staff very very accommodating of requests such as more towels, late check out, etc. Moreover, they have free wi-fi, which was wonderful, and their continental breakfast is actually pretty decent compared to most budget places. Their coffee, for some reason, is excellent! If you're a Chapman staff/faculty/student, be sure to mention the university and you'll get a discount that's totally worth it. For the price, it's a great bang for buck and I highly recommend it! read more

Screw this place, liars and rip offs. I stayed here about a month ago. I went to book again a couple weeks ago, but they said I was red flagged. As to why, they say my room smelled like smoke, the smoke alarms were covered, and they found a broken crack pipe under the bed. For one, I don't smoke and I don't do crack. As for the smoke alarms, I didn't know I needed to check them when I rent a room. Also, upon check in, I had to leave a $250 deposit. Well they kept that. Come to find out, deposits are $150, not $250. Sounds like a scam was set in place before I got there. Had I known that room infested with ants was going to cost me $385, I would have made sure I got my money's worth. Maybe if the maids did a.better job, people wouldn't have to pay for previous guest. Best Western in Orange pulled similar crap. Screw BW, I'll take my business to Embassy Suites from now on. read more

When I travel I usually try and stay at a Best Western. I feel like you usually know what you are getting. My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights June 2013. We wanted to be close to Disneyland without paying the Disneyland Hotel prices. It was a steal at $89 a night. The room was very spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The bed and pillows were comfortable. It was only a 10 minute drive to Disneyland. Across the street is a great little Mexican restaurant, if you get hungry. It is also conveniently located by a grocery store and gas station. Also, my husband and I checked out historic Orange it was super cute. The only downside is that it is on a busy street, but I will stay here again next time we go to Disneyland. read more

Overall, this was a great motel if you are on a budget. The hot water came out of the shower quickly, the room was spacious, and staff (esp. Mike the manager) were extremely helpful. Breakfast was pretty basic. There wasn't a waffle machine as I hoped. Luckily, there is a Starbucks and grocery store within walking distance. My only complaint was that they placed me in a handicapped room when I'm not handicapped. Room 114 had no counter in the bathroom or shower area. There was a weird odor no matter how much perfume I sprayed. The titled mirrors also made me feel nauseous. I asked to switch rooms the next day. read more

Great customer service getting checked in even though I didn't have a reservation. Hot breakfast included begins at 0630...just in time to get me to work by 7 down the street. During my check in, a man proceeded to enter lobby, help himself to free coffee and other snacks (available for sale). I think he was transient, there is a large population in the area. It was an uncomfortable situation for the clerk, but she handled it very well and with poise, providing the man his dignity. Great job. My room is also clean. Grocery store, Starbucks and restaurants are across the street in either direction. read more

The hotel is clean and nice both inside and out. Comfortable beds, clean rooms, however no microwave in the rooms and no on site guest laundry room. I had no problems with wireless internet connection. Daytime desk clerk isnt very friendly - doesnt make you feel welcome at the hotel. The guy who works swing shift was very nice however. Stayed three days, and a few days after checkout I discovered that there was still a hold on my credit card for 2 nights, even though the total charge had already been posted. I had a conference call with a rep from my cc company and the desk clerk who refused to release the hold even though the card company was telling him that the charge had already gone through. He said that he didnt want to release it and then not get paid for the full amount of my stay :( I understand why they do the hold, but once the charge has gone through, dont understand why it wouldnt be released once you have proof that you've been paid. read more

I stayed here recently and was not at all impressed. I had a stain on my sheet and there was an odor coming from the sink that smelled like sewer. I made the hotel manager aware and he had no empathy toward my dissatisfaction with my stay. He said he was unable to reimburse me any of the money spent on the room because it was booked with a third party company. I would definitely not suggest this place! read more

I don't care what anyone else says ; this hotel is AMAZING!! We had came to SoCal from the Bay Area for NYE/Birthday fun in Disneyland. We had a horrible issue with our Motel before coming here. We booked it as we check out our other location, and upon arrival (within an hour) our room was ready. It was BEAUTIFUL!!! Clean sheets. Clean bathroom. Clean towels. Clean pool. PERFECT!! Location : Perfect. We felt safe. It's near 1$ Tree, Ralphs and Walgreens. I WILL be staying here again. read more
