I had never been to Springfield and the internet had scared me a little bit, making me think it was the saddest of mid-western suburbs. A company I was interviewing with flew me out and set me up in a room here. Nice work, prospective future employer because it totally worked and made me think Springfield is pretty nice! I check in late in the evening after travelling all day. The check-in dude was friendly and efficient - exactly what I want when all I want to do is shower and go to sleep. The elevators were super fast (nothing makes me crazy like waiting forever for an elevator!) and the room was perfect - recently updated, clean and quiet. I didn't spend a ton of time in the hotel as I was busy with interviewing and exploring, but I did get a chance to use the fitness center which was much nicer than what I usually see in chain hotels. I also ended up getting an offer and will be moving to Springfield in the next month, so I'll definitely use this Doubletree as the place to suggest people stay when they want to come visit me if we don't have the space. read more

I am so sickened to even be writing this. This morning, after staying the night in this hotel, I woke up to find a live bedbug on my bed. I thought it was a tick which would be gross enough but not indicate an infestation, so I smooshed it and brought it to the front desk. The manager then met with me and attempted to offer me 10,000 Hilton Honors points as compensation...that's about what they offer if your room isn't ready on time or some other minor inconvenience. The manager then repeatedly offered to dry all of my belongings on high heat in their industrial dryer, which would obviously ruin my clothing, most of which was for my work trip. I left the hotel with a refund for the one night stay and promise of follow up, which is attached below. I also have to mention I was going on to another destination following this stay and had to buy ALL NEW things to get me through to my return home, which the manager offered a $100 Walmart gift card. Bottom line is this dimly lit hotel has an infestation and should be avoided. read more

Smells like Christmas and they gave me a warm cookie - did I just arrive to Grandma's house? Clean, busy hotel in a commercial location (read easy access to restaurants, downtown and any stores you might need). The lobby is an atrium and the rooms wrap around in a rectangle. Means the noise from the lobby (just music & comings / goings of people float up). My room (2 queen beds) was a little crowded with the additional side chairs and small coffee table, in addition to the 2 beds, desk / chair and TV console / dresser. However, it was clean, the bed comfortable & the shower warm. I will continue to stay on business. read more

Definitely one of the better doubletree hotels I have stayed at! Parking: there's free surfacelot parking. The spots in front of the hotel fills up quickly so you do end up having to hike (uphill) sometimes, but I'm not complaining. Check-in: Welcoming, friendly, great staff. There is a little sundries room to purchase snacks, toiletries which is always a plus. Room: Clean, comfortable, and everything you would expect from a Hilton hotel. Comfortable bed, clean sheets, clean bathroom. I have no complaints. Gym: standard hilton gym with cardio machines w/ TVs. It's moderate in size- (about 2 elipticals, 3 treadmill, some freeweights). Breakfast: Buffet is very nice. Your standard buffet items such as scrambled eggs (with and without sausage in it), bacon, sausage links, oatmeal, pastries, breakfast potatoes. Servers are very attentive and friendly. There are plenty of restaurants nearby the hotel if you don't want to dine in. There is a starbucks about 5 minutes in driving distance. read more

By far one of the best stays I have had in my travels. Comfortable, soft beds, awesome pillows, rooms are spacious and clean. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful. There is a Houlihan's attached in the lobby which is convenient. I will definitely be making the Doubletree my first pick when coming through Springfield. read more

We stopped here after an 8 hour road trip and were pleasantly greeted with professional staff and warm cookies. The hotel is easy to find, a little off the main road with free parking. The high rise is modern and the lobby is expansive. The pros: the bed was comfortable, room was clean and the bathroom was a nice size with a bathub and ample space for 2. The shower's water pressure was perfect. The hotel provided complimentary toiletries. The suite was roomy and we chose a quieter room away from the elevators. Location was good with restaurants only a few miles away. The hotel also offers room service. The fitness center was nicely appointed with updated treadmills and equipment. Free Wi-fi is a bonus. The cons: the flat screen was really undersized for the room and since there are restaurants in the hotel, they don't offer any complimentary breakfast. The free coffee in the lobby left nothing to be desired. We'll definitely stop here if our road trips bring us back in this direction. read more

Walking into this place you'd think you were in LA or New York - the modern art on the walls and big glass elevator in the central area don't look like anything else in the area. the rooms are bigger then some apartments I've lived in (though that's not saying much), the beds are comfortable, the free breakfast is quality and very tasty, and they give you cookies when you sign in. It's hard to argue with cookies. On the tech side, the in-house free wifi is broken up by floor instead of sticking everyone on the same network and as a result they have much faster connection speeds then some other hotels. Video download sites are throttled, which is disappointing but not unexpected but as a result the rest of the web moves fast so it's a worthwhile tradeoff. All said, there's nothing to not like here. read more

Very nice hotel clean, very very friendly and helpful. Food places are within walking distance. Gym is using Precor. Restaurant and bar name Houlihan's is connected, unknown what type of atmosphere is there. Lots of outlets to plug things in... One of the biggest problems I have traveling is finding a plug and it's usually behind the bed. I would recommend staying here again. read more

I like this hotel. Staff is friendly and rooms are clean. Executive lounge on the 10th floor with happy hour and appetizers. Cookies at the front desk which is trouble. It's a little bit weird that you have to have a key card to get onto the floor, but after several people have jumped off the side into the atrium, I can understand why. My wife and I stayed here recently, during a trip to visit her aunt who lives in Buffalo, which is about 30 miles north of Springfield. I'm a Hilton Honors member, so that was a plus, but it is also close to the I-65 which we used to visit the aunt. The hotel is a 10 story building with interior hallways that look down into the lobby. The room was very nice and clean. It had a two-cup coffee maker, hair dryer, flat screen TV and paid internet. We didn't use the internet as we both have 3G smart phones with all that on them. For Dining, they have two restaurants: Gracie's and Houlihan's. Gracie's is in the lobby and is open for breakfast only, and is a buffet with an "egg station" where you can get eggs prepared your way. The food was good here. Houlihan's is open for lunch and dinner and has a bar. Due to the nature of our trip, we were on the road quite a bit, visiting my Wife's aunt or going down to Branson or Eureka Springs Arkansas, so we had dinner in the room quite often since we were beat and didn't feel like going down to the restaurant. My wife has had gastric bypass (4 years out) and can't eat alot and is picky. She had the fried fish and french fries every night (we shared) and said they were the best she had ever had. They have very good soups and their pot roast was out of this world. Their creme brulee is also excellent. All in all, about the best hotel food I've had. I've been to a lot of hotels in my life and I have to say that this was my most memorable stay. The reason? The people!!! Maybe it's just Missouri and that's how midwesterners are, or the hotel is fabulously managed, or both. EVERYONE we dealt with, from the housekeeping staff to an engineer that just happened by went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. We had a note-leaving thing going on with the housekeeper. If you are in the area and want a great place to stay, this is definitely it! read more

This has been my go-to Springfield Hilton property. The staff here is really nice and accommodating but its in nee of an update. I'm hoping the Fairfield In across the lot and the new conference center will motivate the owners for some upgrades. We stayed at this hotel for a business trip - we like staying at Hilton properties and this hotel added to the positives of a Hilton stay. The staff were all very friendly, the hotel was clean and well kept, and there was plenty of parking even though the hotel was packed. We also liked having a Houlihan's attached to the lobby. I think the thing I looked forward to most was the breakfast because it was truly one of the best hotel breakfasts we have ever had - it was delicious. We would definitely stay again. read more

There was no mini fridge in the room and there is a $25 per night hold on your card on top of the cost of the room, but other than that I loved it. A very dark hotel. I don't see why they can't inverts in some room lighting. We have a suite and have one lamp to see by. No microwave but a small refrigerator is here. I would guess it was renovated 8-10 years ago based on style and color. Sheets are low quality but neat. Small small pillows. read more

We had a family reunion in Springfield. We reserved a block of rooms for our event. The hotel did everything possible to accommodate our families. The rooms were updated and clean. The pricing was in mid-range. We also had a family breakfast for 50 people. We had a private room and the wait staff was friendly and efficient. We never felt rushed. The food for our meal was plentiful and delicious. We will use Double tree again for any large crowd. read more

My impressions might be colored by the fact that we fled to this hotel after spending one night at the dreadful Days Inn in north Springfield, which should be razed immediately, but the Doubletree is like paradise after that experience. The staff is wonderful, the room is clean and quiet and the rates are laughably low. I could not recommend it more highly. read more

I'll make it pretty short. To start off most of the front desk staff were nice and the restaurant staff as well but now to the my complaint. My company booked 35 rooms at this hotel for the week Sunday - Friday. That Thursday a snow storm came in and it was to be worse on Friday so my company released the ppl that were driving back to there states, so in a rush me and my co worker packed up and left to make the 5.5hr drive back home in the snow at night back to Oklahoma City and in the confusion I left my laptop in the room(yes totally my mistake). I called the front desk after realizing that I left it and was assured they would go up to the room and secure the laptop for me. Later Friday morning I called to sent up getting the laptop mailed to me at which I was told it could not be located. And long story short after a week of back and forth I was told "the hotel is not responsible for lost things"(even though it wasn't technically lost being that I told the lady that night that I left it and where). Ryan the head of housekeeping was very helpful just to bad that his staff don't share his honesty. Long story short please secure all your valuable because heaven forbid you have to count on the maid/housekeeper/front desk attendant at this hotel to be honest and not steal your property when they are suppose to be securing something you called them to secure. read more

Everything was pretty nice. Loved the fresh, hot cookies! Pool chlorine was so strong in the pool that we couldn't even watch our kids swim. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly though. They made sure to make everything they could right for us. We will definitely stay again, just hope they get their pool chemicals figured out! read more

if I could give this hotel 3 1/2 I would not necessarily 4. Big typical convention style hotel nothing special but nice enough for the price. No free breakfast because of the Covid but apparently they didn't seem to reduce the price with no breakfast but they are saving themselves money. I think a lot of these businesses are using the Covid for everything to cut their expenses. I wouldn't run back to this hotel but if I got the right price I would definitely come here it was one of the cleaner hotels in the area I spent three different nights at three different hotels here. Springfield is not a nice area. I ran at night along the main streets and I would not do again as I saw a lot of wandering strange people lurking. read more

Loved it. Stayed here for my son's birthday. Great breakfast and incredible complimentary cookies. Indoor pool is big and is able to access outdoor pool by swimming under glass divider wall. Pretty clean and next to a great restaurant. Good place for a wedding I imagine or conference. Indoor balcony overlooking center. read more

One of the best doubletree I've stayed. Ian at the front desk is frendly, smart and efficient with everything i asked for help. Al is super awesome. I didn't ask for any help but just paused for seconds thinking should i walk or drive to the Walmart across the street. Al immediately came over and offer a ride. Plus he also gave me some very good local restaurant recommendations!! All the staff are super friendly and ready to have a chat with you. Very easy going and polite. They really make me feel at home. Rooms are remodeled and clean Breakfast is great. scramble eggs is never dry. Potato is crispy. This is a great hotel. No wonder rooms are sold out easily. I have stayed here several times over the last couple of years and typically a decent hotel. Today I check into my room which was the only room left at hotel. Walked in to room lamp shades all jacked up in the room ottoman tipped over and chair in room tipped over. I looked to make sure there wasn't someone in there. Okay stuff happens so I just fixed it all and let it be. Then went to gym down stairs and it was nastier than a highschool locker room/gym. All the equipment was nasty looks like it hasn't been touched or cleaned in months. Not just a day... there was stuff scattered everywhere all over the floor. I was disgusted. I have never been to a hotel or a gym for that case this nasty. I went to front desk let them know how disgusting it was. They said they would get someone down to clean it. I left went to genesis fitness center down the road and paid for a day pass. Keep in mind this hotel room is over 300 for a night and this is what I experienced. It will probably be my last visit here. Update: let's also add the running toilet all night that I finally fixed at 5am...ugh read more

My girls and I stayed here over the Christmas holiday and loved it. We are a Hilton honor member and stayed on the 10th floor. The hotel is big, very beautiful and I love the pool and how Houlihans is connected. It is right on the Main Street (glen stone) and convenient to get into the highway (44.).
