This "resort" was ok...$89 a night is really reaching for the stars here. It wasn't dirty. The bathroom was weird, and the door didn't shut all the way, but it was clean. It was a normal, slightly shabby hotel. If we were paying $50 a night I wouldn't have a negative word to say. read more

I wish there were two ways that I could rate this hotel. For a family, it is great and I would give it high Marks for cleanliness and for its amenities. The place is massive and has a lot to offer someone who is vacationing. Overall the room decor was nice,bed blankets seemed cheap.(stayed on the ground level corner room of the smaller building).The walls are paper thin if you are looking for some privacy or to sleep in this is not the place. We could hear everyone that walk in or out all night! The overall atmosphere of the hotel grounds is very peaceful. There are also a few spots with hammocks to lay outside and enjoy the stars. There is also a nice gym and customer service is very helpful. Next time we will look for something a little more private for the price. read more

Late check in as we got caught in the rain. The guy at the counter as my girlfriend called him Lurch. 17 dollars to park your own car, ridiculous!! I decided to give my husband for his birthday today, September 26, 2020, a night at the Doubletree Hilton Orlando with a package that bought 10 days before on the Internet of hotel + Seaworld and Aquatic parks that he likes a lot, pay for 4 people 670 dollars for one night for my children and the 2 of us, it said to include the hotel parking and the parks, which did not happen and we ended up paying 50 dol to park in the 2 parks, I found a room with only 2 beds for 4 adults including my 2 children that never They have slept together because they are male and female already grown up, I told the reception that I thought I had a double room with 4 beds or at least a sofa, which was what I thought I was paying, being 160 for each one, the young man told me that I was wrong, he promised to send me an extra bed after asking for it, the bed never arrived, the soap and shampoo was put for 2 people and on top of that in the next room they had a strong argument that bothered us, for all these things we only used the room at the time of the bathroom when we returned from the parks and it was unbearable to stay there, my husband did not enjoy his birthday because we took up to a line of 1 hour to enter Sea World even with all payment in advance, with all this we decided to return today Even to Miami Beach very disappointed because not even when I said in the reservation that the reason for the trip was for a birthday, there was no deference, I hope I never return to this place I know the hospitality industry and I worked for 15 years in this profession is a shame these things happen, I do not recommend this place read more

Worst experience in Florida. Had a nice hotel booked but unfortunately had family staying here, and we wanted to stay close. Got into room one smelling like mildew. Asked to be moved and the next room had a purifier BUT STILL smelled like mildew!! Shower was cold, and it stayed cold. Didn't want to deal with moving again because of the time we checked in (almost 12am). The water at South Beach was warmer! If I had wanted to stay in a janky motel I would paid that price instead. My husband, toddler, and I stayed at the Doubletree by Hilton at SeaWorld this weekend and had a great stay. The hotel is right next to SeaWorld, and it is beautifully furnished and appears to have been recently updated. Our room was a 2 queen bed room in the tower. We had traveled up to go to SeaWorld and see Choo Choo Soul perform. The plan (and don't all new parents think they have great plans) was for me to sleep in the bed with our 2 year old the first night, and my husband to sleep with him the second night. That way we each got one night without a toddler foot jammed in our side. Unfortunately, on night one (my night) he rolled off the bed, waking with a cry. I slept holding on to him the rest of the night, and he still managed to roll out one more time (on to carefully arranged pillows). This wasn't going to work - and there was no way we could jam me, my son, and my 6'4" husband into a queen bed. What could I do? I called the front desk and Julia not only fixed my problem but was also friendly and good humored about it. Now, remember, this problem had nothing to do with the staff, hotel, property, or franchise. We made a bad choice and needed to find a solution. The rate we were on was extremely low, btw, so there really wasn't any financial motive for the Doubletree to "wow" us. I asked if it was possible and how much would it cost to move to a king room, as we had discovered a safety issue. Julia asked for a moment to check availability and came back and said they would be happy to move us at no cost. "Did we want to stay in the tower?" Yes. "Did we want to stay on the same floor?" Yes. "The same side?" Sure. "Did we want a bellman to come up and help us?" No, please, you are already being way too nice! We ended up getting the room next store which allowed us to open the connecting door and move all of our stuff from one room to the other. That night I got to sleep knowing my child was safe. We were very impressed by the Doubletree and will stay there again on our next trip up. Staff there really seems to care about the customers. Later that night I discovered that one of my shoes was missing. My husband called the front desk and they had a security person meet him so he could check in our "old" room. The guy even helped look under the beds (where they found 3 of our kid's Matchbox cars - but no shoe). The mystery was solved later when we found my shoe wedged between the two sided of our luggage, underneath it. This hotel is very pretty and has staff that will go above and beyond - moving rooms and looking under bed. They have earned our loyalty and we can't wait to stay there again. read more

My advice is to stay elsewhere. You can find other options with more bang for your buck and not get harassed about a time share! Bad: pay for parking, they aggressively push their time share, the "short walk" to seaworld is across a steaming hot parking lot without a side walk, their shuttle service sucks! it only runs twice in the morning and one of those times is an hour and a half after the parks open. the staff was apathetic and the food prices in their restaurants is very high but since there are only two restaurants in the vicinity you are left with few choices, and you have to pay for internet Good: room is clean, it has two pools and it is easy to get a cab read more

We stayed in the tower rooms and the room was pretty spacious. Restaurants were good. My only bad comment is the parking. When we were retuning from a movie late one night, we had to park pretty far away from the room. They have valet but we didn't choose to do that as it was over $20 a day. Self parking was $17 a day I believe. This place was perfect for us because they have a shuttle running to take you to sea world, Aquatica, universal! This was our first time staying there and we were pretty pleased with the experience, besides the whole parking issue. read more

the hotel and food was great. very nice friendly employees. nice room. great food.....flat bread to die for. warm cookies at check in...i love it. however, do not park youR car in the lot. we did and are very sorry we did. we paid $17 to park in the lot and come to find our truck was broken into over night. locks broken on the truck. when we called to notify the manager we were told there is no cameras in the back parking lot. come on now, no cameras yet people are paying to park in the lot. the lot is gated so who do you think did the breaking in...... employees no doubt. very disappointing after such a great weekend if you are walking over to sea world from the hotel there are foot prints to lead you for about 500 ft after entering the gate. then they just end leaving you not a clue as to which way to go. go to your left, through the parking lot of sea world. better to drive this was quite a hike to and from sea world. read more

Very nice property. I was very disappointed to find out there is a handling charge to receive a UPS package at the hotel. I was not aware of this crazy policy. I will admit, after reading some reviews, I was a bit skeptical, but the hotel exceeded my expectations in every way! My daughter was participating in a pageant there this month, and the resort was perfect. The housekeeping staff worked endlessly to maintain rooms and keep clean towels on hand, and every employee we came in contact with was friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and we enjoyed room service a few times when my daughters schedule was hectic and we didn't have time to go out. No complaints, would definitely stay here again! read more

One of the better Doubletrees I've stayed at! You get cookies upon check-in (as you're supposed to) and they were hot and fresh! The location is right next to SeaWorld and a short drive from Disney World and the other parks. Breakfast buffet at Laguna Restaurant on site is pretty good too! read more

Room was nice but staff service was terrible , we had an item go missing and the supervisor failed to have security called for 3 hours. And while security was being called a maid had pulled our grandmother into another room to show her that they don't have sufficient tools to clean. The security guard that had checked the lock was very polite, but the ones that later talked to our grandmother at the pool were very disrespectful saying things like "where's your tribe now" and calling her a " scamming Gypsie ..." Stayed 6/10 - 14 for Cisco Live. Terrible service. Tried getting our card changed to a corporate card 3 times via phone, and every time they kept telling us they did it, and when we checked in they hand't. Their 1 and only hot tub was gross. It had hair and other debris, and the jets didn't work. Called the front desk and after an hour it still hadn't been cleaned or the jets fixed. During checkout, my CC on file for incidentals was charged resort fees when all the charges should have gone on my corporate card. When I called the front desk to have them fix it they said they did, yet when I checked out they didn't fix it. Had to stand there for 10 minutes while she fixed the mess in their computers. Tried to charge me for a water bottle I never drank in the room. Room also had a fly/nat problem. They were everywhere. I think I killed about 20-30 myself over my few nights there, but they just wouldn't go away. Would not recommend. Their incompetence is not worth your time. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would! This has been the worst hotel experience I have had in a long time. The customer service received during and after my stay was horrendous! Make sure you check your receipt too, because they may sneak some miscellaneous charges and parking that you didn't actually incur. They did refund me for those, but only because I reviewed my receipt upon returning home. I arrived at the hotel for the HIMSS conference and was told my room was not ready. I politely informed them that I had a meeting to be at by 4 and needed to get ready for it. I sat there for a good 45 minutes waiting for some one to let me know when it was ready, while watching all these other customers walk-in and check-in with ease. After the 45 minutes, I decided to go check myself...Oh, what a surprise they have a room ready...Who knows how long I would have sat there before they got back to me. The room was NOT the room I originally booked. It was suppose to be in the tower, single king bed, but instead was in bldg 15, 2 double queen beds. Which faced the street (the city is doing construction) and backs up to their (Doubletree) construction. So, not only did I NOT sleep while I was there, I got to listen to beeping and construction noises all day and all night. When I called to complain and request a room change (which I did everyday that I was there), I was greeted with attitude, horrible customer service and of course, no ability to change rooms. Waking up in the morning, I found ants covering all my things that were laid out on the sink and on the floor. So now, every time I was in my room I felt like something was crawling on me and could never feel comfortable because my things were always tightly packed and up off the floor. I did call and let them know. The maintenance guy was the only friendly person I encountered there, but even though they came and sprayed, the ants were still there the entire time. After my stay I have called many times to speak to a manager and was told they were either out or not available, but gave me the option to leave a voicemail. Which I did, and still have not received a phone call back. Found another miscellaneous charge on my credit card today and called to speak to the front desk. The phone lines are all screwed up, it took me 4 attempts to get to an actual person. The first person I finally spoke to kept asking me questions that did not pertain to the reason as to why I was calling and then just hung up me...on purpose. The second person I got in touch with, again tried to get me to answer all these questions when I just wanted to speak to the front desk. Told me to call back and press 0, which obviously I did that first and kept getting routed back to the voice system. Hung up from that person and called back in again, FINALLY, after pressing zero, I got to a person. At that point I was really upset and asked to speak to the most important manager in the bldg. She transferred me to an Ashley, who is an executive assist. Guess what? SHE DIDN'T ANSWER and I was forced to leave yet another disgruntled voice message, which no one will probably respond to. I plan to post this on any and all social media outlets I possibly can. What I have experienced is annoying, and completely unacceptable. Is it really that hard to get good customer service? I travel a lot for work and I can say with the utmost confidence, Doubletree/Hilton Hotels will no longer be an option with me and if I can help it, anyone else at my company. Would love for someone to call me back to discuss my issues, but I guess I won't hold my breathe! read more

I attended a Conference at this property May 25th/26th. All I can say is that it was the worse experience I have ever had at registration. After waiting in line I finally get called up to a young lady who could not have been anymore rude than she was. It started with me being told that there would be a $25.00 resort fee added to my bill? I explained that was not except-able as I already paid a resort fee. She in turned argued with me that I had not. OK, I pulled out my registration where she promptly told me that I had not paid anything yet that I only had a reservation?? The young lady gets a manager to come over and address my concerns. He in turn would allow customers to walk up WITHOUT waiting in the line the rest of us had waited in and he would accommodate them. Leaving me to stand there longer. Finally she tells me that I have a room in the Tower, I told her that I did not want to be in the tower! She informs me that it is an upgrade and hands me my keys. She knew that I was by now visibly upset and not having a proper Hilton Experience!! I walk across the grounds to my supposed upgraded room? What I found was a coffee table that looked like a wood chuck had been chewing on it for quite some time? So much for the upgrade??? I called registration and the person that accommodated me on the call stated we have a room back by where the conference is would you like to relocate? UM, yes since that was what I had been asking for now for over 1 hour. I thanked her and stated my conference ends at 1:00 pm and I had to leave immediately for a funeral service that would take an 1.5 hour to get to and start at 2:00pm. I told her that I did not have time to make 3 trips up and down from the 21st floor. She told me to wait there and the bell would bring me the keys to my new room. Another 35 minute wait!!! No Bell person. Back to Registration and waiting in line again. And Yep you guessed it, I was blessed to get the same girl that treated me dispensable to begin with. Who at that time is ruder that the first go around. She told me that she gave me the room I reserved. I was like, well not actually as I reserved 2 queen beds and you placed me in a King? She then stated rudely "you do know there is not elevators for you with this new room? I asked what are you insinuating? I finally had enough and raised my hands and told her that I did not want to argue with her.. I said I just want to get checking in please? She gave me the new room keys and I left. Upon entering my room I get a knock on the door. It was the Bell person that informed me he had been waiting for me at the new room and where had I been? OK, enough now 1.5 hours to get checked into a room??? I was not happy at all. Did I mention that I was trying to get to an event across the street. When I finally got all this resolved and arrived at the convention center I was informed that my event ended in 5 minutes. Yes from 4:30 to 7:00 this person interrupted my entire stay. I have never been treated so rudely by a hospitality person in my life. I would say that the hotel and grounds were nice. But,, But,,, I WOULD NOT however recommend the customer service as it was beyond poor and most definitely not what I would expect from a Hilton Location. I could not be more disappointed. read more

The staff at this hotel have all been very polite and welcoming. The grounds are actually very nice, and the rooms (I have had two of them - both on the first floor) are all clean, well kept and modern. The only downside to this hotel is that the rooms on the first floor of the buildings hear EVERYTHING that happens outside. If someone strolls by at 10pm with roller bags (as they just did), your room vibrates as the bags bounce off the pebble/concrete paths outside, if someone is outside chatting it up (like last night), you hear it. Total bummer on that side, but the grounds and atmosphere are both really nice. read more

My husband and I were disappointed with our stay. Parking for those staying in the hotel was an extra $10 per day. Those who did not pay had to pay to get both in and out of the parking lot. Once in, it was sometime difficult to find parking. Free Wi-Fi was advertised, but only existed in the hotel lobby. If you wanted to work from your room, you had to pay $10 per day. We paid for a trip package that covered a free shuttle to and from Sea World. The shuttle apparently only makes one trip per day and was booked by the time we arrived. The room is billed as being within walking distance to Sea World, which is sort of true, but it is not well marked and requires about a mile of walking across an enormous, hot parking lot. In our room the air conditioning wasn't working properly. It was set on 60, but the room was easily 85. Someone was sent to fix it. Turns out it needed to be cleaned, which helped bring down the temp somewhat, though it never really got cool. The hair dryer didn't work, and the air conditioner guy took it away but never returned with a new one so we had to call the desk to make sure we wouldn't be charged. There was no phone book or restaurant guide of any kind, and there was a cost for making local calls. The TV reception was spotty, sometimes just quitting while we were watching, and there was not channel guide in the room. On a positive note, the staff was courteous and helpful, and our room was relatively clean with the exception of the air conditioner. Also, my daughter enjoyed the pool area. However, we felt frustrated by the accommodations overall and would not stay here again. read more

Went to Aquatica for the weekend and we got this hotel on a name your price deal. VERY impressed overall! Resort feel, VERY close to Aquatica and Seaworld at a great value with top notch security! Our party was a bit on the wild side and they gently guided us as needed... Lol The grounds are very well maintained as well. People complain about parking distance and walk but the point is to keep the vehicles out of the scenery. Had an absolutely wonderful time and will certainly be back! Best bartender - MATTY (main bar in tower) Special shout out to our new friend Reggie! He is on top of his game as 2nd in command of security and managed to corral and control our somewhat difficult crew with grace. We will be back because of Reggie! read more

I am a diamond member 1. out of 5--6 Hilton hotels I have been to, this is first one that charge a diamond member for breakfast..... really surprised. 2. Like most of the chain hotels around, this one also provides shuttle between hotel and parks. This hotel has free shuttle between Magic kingdom and hotel. Dec 26 2014 morning, we told the car service guy that we would return at 7pm, I also got some kind of return ticket from that guy (I still have this ticket now, since I never got a chance using it.) That evening in Orlando, it was chilly. My two kids and I waited for the pick-up from 6:30pm--7:40pm. No one came to pick us up. 3. Starting from 6:50pm -- 7:20Pm, I did ask every single bus/car driver, to see if they are the people who are supposed to pick us up. NO NO and NO. 4. Stating from 7:10pm --7:35pm, I called the hotel again and again, got transferred 4 times, till someone called a car service company to pick us up. 5. My little daughter, 5 years old, got a running nose that night, and then a fever next day morning. that also means, on that day we had to stay in hotel, a waste of 400$ for the admission to Disney parks for 4 persons..... read more

Just returned from a week in Orlando. After an absolutely horrible experience at the car rental company, my wife and I just wanted to bunk up and rest. To that end, Doubletree delivered. They were very patient and provided impeccable service even after we were doubly irritable and tired. Having a cookie certainly helped soothe our wounds too. The duration of the stay there was similar. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Being so close to Seaworld made that part of our trip very convenient. The front desk was courteous and quick to respond to questions and requests. All in all, a very reasonable place to stay and I think I know where to book the next time I'm coming to Orlando! read more

When you rent here, you'd think this place is luxurious and the service is exceptional. But it lacks the exceptional service expected from their restaurant as well as their managerial staff. We checked in for the long weekend with a toddler and got back pretty late. Little did we expect, our room smelled as if it'd been a victim of some pretty bad water damage... HUMIDITY, at its finest! Not only is that a health hazard but also a major concern for a paying customer. Horrible experience, it is now 230am and we are dealing with the issue at hand!!! All we got was a "well, okay" from the person attending the phone at the front desk. Nonetheless we'd already had a pretty horrid experience at the Laguna restaurant onsite earlier in the day, and all they could offer due to this inconvenience was " FREE BREAKFAST BUFFET " does it seem like we care to deal with what this hotel has got to offer? Well, our Orlando portion of our vacation has come to a close but I wanted to share a few comments on our stay at Double tree. When we booked online, my wife left comments on floor preference due to her medical condition. Unfortunately, message didn't come across at the front desk so we asked for other accommodations. Claudia, front desk clerk asked for assistance from her manager Edger, who in turn gave us an upgrade to a king deluxe suite, we were pleasantly surprised by how large the space was! As far as I'm concerned, hotels need three components: 1) Firm mattress/Functional bathroom 2) Good housekeeping 3) Kind and caring staff. These items were all met and I couldn't be happier with out stay here! read more

I love the location and enjoy the laid back atmosphere, but paying for parking is bad, and what is worse is that the wait staff at Laguna does not tell you that the HHonors complimentary breakfast buffet is only complimentary for the cold items. Was originally only supposed to stay for 2 nights then check into another hotel. After the great service from Glenda at the pool bar we changed our plans and decide to stay for the whole 2 weeks here instead. She made us feel like friends not just customers, suggested different drinks, and help us order food that was delivered to the pool area instead of having to go get it ourself. That was a pleasure after walking for hours in the parks. Had some trouble with our key cards not working which made us have to take several trips to the front desk but everything worked out after a couple of days. Breakfast is a little on the expensive side but as we are diamond members we didn't have to pay. And although we are smokers there was a good of people that were there for a few nights that were VERY loud, inconsiderate to other guest and smoking all over the pool area. When we addressed this with Glenda she handle it in a very professional manner and apologized many times over for the unpleasant environment these guest were creating. Would definitely stay again if for nothing else but the bar and pool area. read more
