Beware, don't ever take a vehicle here. Took my vehicle in to have check engine light investigated. They were confronted with the fact that they purposely did a half job so that it would fail again so they could charge me double the repair cost. Then every time I brought it in because they never fixed the problem, they would try to charge me labor. Took vehicle in 3 times for the same problem that they were supposed to fix the first time. They charged me every single time even for stuff I never asked for! I'm done with them entirely! Not reputable of trustworthy! read more

Charged us $500 to replace the front CV joints and less than 50 miles later the nuts came off and left my son stranded. Wayne, the owner, assured us they used locktite on the studs before replacing the nuts, but the pics I took tell a different story. Then when confronted about it he was extremely condescending and denied having made an obvious error. Had he acknowledged his shoddy workmanship and apologized for his mistake, I wouldn't have bothered with this review. But his arrogance, and ignorance, was too blatant to disregard. read more

Put a ford u-joint in my Chevrolet causing my vehicle to vibrate greatly. They look similar but are not the same. Took it back several times to correct problem, eventually took it to another facility which diagnosed and fixed the problem in 40 minutes. read more

I dropped my truck off for a oil change. Went to pick it up around lunch. Wasn't ready. Man told me come back in half hour he would have it ready and bring him a cupcake it was his anniversary. I Got quoted 1 price 1 month. One month later it goes up $20. When the service was done it was another price. I got my coolant done and they didn't even filled my reservoir container with much coolant at all! Had to bring it back and they didn't even add the same coolant. read more

Sent work to them after a phoned in quote, got a bill almost $300 more. Work needed serious remediation by OEM dealer afterward. Illegally charged 4% surcharge for credit card transaction. I was mildly amused by all of this. Lesson learned, you wont be seeing me again. read more

Brought my truck in to replace shocks and struts. Asked Wayne to look over the truck and tell me if there's any problems. He called and said the abs light was on and I needed to replace the wheel sensor. 200$ . Also the engine light was on and it was a bad valve in the intake $200. I said go ahead and do it . I picked up the vehicle and immediately noticed the truck felt like a boat and was bottoming out badly. Also both the abs and the engine light was still on . I returned with my truck and Wayne drove it and agreed it wasn't riding right. He said he would replace those shocks with new ones . When I returned he accused me of breaking the shock and wanted me to pay 60$ more dollars. Also that I needed to pay them $1000 more dollars to fix the abs and engine lights because their diagnosis was incorrect. They wouldn't refund or remove the replaced parts that were put in even though the problems still exist. Don't bring your vehicle to Doug Halls unless you have a large amount of money. Their prices are extremely high and they don't seem to know what they're doing. read more

Love this place. I take almost all of my automotive needs here! In the beginning, when I was trying to feel this place out, I would take my vehicle to another place, and get an estimate. I would then bring the vehicle on over to Doug Hall Garage, and get a second opinion. A couple of examples. Had a van that I took over to another mechanic shop. Radiator was smoking, steaming. They took a look at it, and said I needed a brand new radiator, parts, etc... Would cost close to $1000. Took it to Doug Hall - spoke to Wayne. He put some water, and dye in the system to see if it had any leaks. Sure enough one of the hoses had a hole in it. He fixed it. Cost me $15. Another time same issue with brakes. Took it to brakes 4 less, they ended up wanting to charge me for 2 front brakes, and some other work for $229. Took it over to Wayne again at Doug Hall Garage. He fixed it for $50. Wayne is a really good and fair man. Definitely recommend Doug Hall Garage! read more
