Dropped my husband's vehicle off to get ac fixed and was told it was possibly a minor issue (seals, etc ) they advised if the fix didn't fully rectify the issue bring it back. Took it RIGHT back. We were then told they could "fix" the issue again. None the less, received the car blowing ac on level 8 & it feels like level 1. Ball was dropped on the repair in more ways then I care to mention ... Was told the cabin air filter was "too thick " which may be reducing the pressure behind the ac . (They even provided one & it still didn't work...) Excuse after excuse. Contents From the dash were on floor board and thrown all across the backseat... I Really felt like they attempted to play on our intelligence me and offered a refund to get me out the way. Wouldn't recommend to my worse enemy . read more

I had currently gotten my 2008 Honda Accord checked out in a automotive shop I trusted. They had diagnosed a AC problem but that it was not the condenser when I came back to get repaired. I was told it was the condenser and it would be $1700. I can't say enough great things about Davidson Automotive. The staff, especially Joel, were extremely helpful and communicative with me. I got my AC fixed for only $243 and my air is blowing ice cold now. Other places quoted me around $600. As a young woman who doesn't really understand cars, I typically get nervous taking my car to shops, but the staff were very patient and respectful to me. I called Davidson Automotive about a check engine light on my Camry. I dropped it off the next morning at 8 AM and by the end of the day they had diagnosed and fixed my car for a reasonable price. I like how they have drop boxes so that you can pick it up whenever you need to if they are closed. I recommend this place. read more

My wife backed our van out of the garage and tore the rear view mirror off of her cousin's car that was parked in the driveway. She isn't used to having to look for a car in the driveway and the cousin was visiting from out of town. We took the car to Smith Davidson and they spent 30 minutes repairing it and wouldn't charge us since there were no parts. They were able to get it back in place and working without it costing us a dime. I have been back many times for tires and other repairs. Cole and the gang are good local people who are fair and reasonable. One time I showed Cole that I could get tires cheaper from Tire Rack and he showed me how he got his price and what he needed to pay his people and asked me if the $20 difference (total) was worth it to me - and if it was, then I could get them on Tire Rack and he would still mount them for me. I ended up spending the extra $20 to support a good, honest local shop. In another instance, I have a Corvette with ENORMOUS racing tires that are VERY HARD TO MOUNT. I had taken them to several shops to get them mounted with no luck. Cole and the staff at Smith Davidson treated it like a challenge and worked very hard to get those tires on my car. I would recommend them because of the following... 1. They are honest. PERIOD. 2. They do good work. 3. They are fair. I would recommend Cole and the people at Smith Davidson Tire with no reservations. I believe that they will make me look good with my recommendation because I believe they try to do a great job with every customer and vehicle that comes into their shop. This is THE BEST! Most HONEST business ever. They prove it to me EVERY time. I used to check on them. I'd get a quote, go to Costco or Sams to find out, I'm better off at Smith Davidson. So what's the point? We make our kids (4 owe drive) and my employees go there. We have never heard a complaint! Last week, one of our kids was quoted $1,100.00 for a repair. He was prepared to pay it. When they got into it, they were able to fix it for free. How cool is that? They've been stuck with us for a long time. Make it simple, easy, not complicated!!! read more

After three estimates for replacing the right front axle on my Toyota Camry I decided on Smith-Davidson on Woodruff Rd Greenville SC. They explained everything to me beforehand and even showed me the problem. I was given a full estimate of the work. I was offered a loaner which I didn't need but I appreciated the offer. The work was performed by Josh and he explained that some other repairs I had been told about weren't even necessary. I am very happy with the interaction I had with Josh and Chris. I have been taking my cars to Smith-Davidson for probably 6 years. I always trusted their diagnosis of my car's problems and was proud to refer others to them. I've even purchased tires from them. I called them on a Wednesday to report Jeep would not start. I had checked the battery and it seemed OK. I'm no expert so I thought I would call one. Unable to get car started, so I had it towed in for $65. Called me the next day with a dead battery diagnosis and a bill for $243.45 plus tax. Picked up car on Friday. They are closed on weekends. Two days later and car still will not start. Called back and was told to have it towed in again and they would check it out!!! Really, they charged me $243.45 for a battery that I obviously didn't need and I still don't have a "running" Jeep. Think again. Won't ever see me again. read more

I discovered Smith-Davidson a couple of years ago, and can only say great things about them. Initially, I just had Goodyear tires, purchased elsewhere, rotated. But they gladly helped me...and on return visits they were both quick and efficient, so when it came time to purchase another set I didn't hesitate to go to them. A few weeks ago my daughter took her car in for a sticky gas peddle, the had it for two days called her to pick up the car b/c it was fixed. Got there charged 350.00. But didn't fix the gas paddle, instead they fixed an oil leaked that was about to be bad. Took vehicle home, the very next day still have gas peddle issues and a bad oil leak. Took vehicle back the next day they said oil is leaking from a different area and she would have to pay to get that fixed. BIG RIP OFF!!!! VERY DISSATISFIED !!!! So very grateful. The day after we moved to Greenville we went to drive around our new city and found our vehicle battery had died. We were stranded and alone in a new city and Smith-Davidson came to our rescue. We were able our vehicle jumped and we drove it right over. Even though they were closing in 15 minutes, they took the time to replace our battery and had us in an out. With three small children in tow this was such a huge blessing.
