It is a small narrow shop hidden in a cute little beach town. They specialize in cake donuts. There's 12 varieties to choose from but do yourself a favor and choose each flavor. The lady who helped us gave us a baker's dozen so we got 13 donuts. She was so friendly and kind. The donuts were so fresh and fluffy! Absolutely delicious! I had to stop myself from devouring the whole box, it was that good. It was priced really fair for the quality, it was $20 even for those 13 donuts. Definitely worth a visit if you're on that side of town. There isn't a parking lot, it's all street parking. And like i said the shop is a narrow, so handicap accessibility is a bit limited if you're using a wheelchair. Plus there is a slightly raised threshold. This is an easy to miss, very unassuming, basically walking into their kitchen to by doughnuts type shop. Where they lack in decor.....well that all just ends up in the doughnuts. This place is CASH ONLY, I came in with 7 bucks thinking that would keep me from going crazy. Problrm is, their doughnuts are stupid cheap, I mean ridiculously cheap. They're between a buck and a buck fifty. They pack so much good flavor, not to mention the doughnut itself is fried to perfection. In all honesty, I don't think you can go wrong with a flavor. It's not diet food, and if you're looking to fall off the wagon, this place is calling your name! I personally prefer my donuts to be light and fluffy, not dense and cake like. However, some how this place creates donuts that look cake like but are super fluffy and light. They change their menu on a regular basis, but it's so creative so I'll tend to order 1 or 2 of EVERTHING, since self control is kind of an issue for me! Get there early since it's very small and can feel cramped if theres six people in line. Not a secret, so if you come late and find nothing, you'll have noone to blame. It was the morning time...and the line was out the door. I wondered why...i was able to get in just enough to close the door behind me -- it's a small place! You can see the fresh doughnuts that just came out of the oven. You can see what they have so you don't have to ask if they have what you want. I saw so many different kinds! Also, they sell hot and iced coffee, rolls, bagels and other beverages. What they had in stock when I was there was: - Cinnamon - Strawberry Sprinkles - Fruity Pebbles - Chocolate Sprinkles - Vanilla - Pistachio - Blueberry - Samoa - Cha-Cha Chocolate - Salted Caramel - Marble - Canoli - MAPLE BACON Yo...that's right...MAPLE BACON - MY FAVE!!! That one is TO DIE FOR! I was there 2 different times. One was in the morning and one was months after on a hot summer day. The one where I was there in the AM, the line was out the door. If you're there, and the line's out the door, don't let that turn you away. The lines move REALLY fast. Just wait it out. You'll get something good every time. The Summer day, I went in the afternoon -- no lines! BUT they didn't have the bacon one :( they did have others that were just as delicious. Either way...if you go, make sure you leave with something. You won't regret it! These doughnuts are very filling. I bought 4 thinking 1 wouldn't hold me down...but nah...half held me down...for hours LOL. These aren't the Dunkin Donut type of doughnuts, btw. They're dense and cake-like. A cute doughnut shop where everything feels homey and warm! There's no place to sit and eat inside, but there's a little bench right outside of the storefront. I absolutely loved every flavor I tried, but my favorite is probably the s'mores doughnut. They didn't taste greasy at all, and I loved how each of these donuts had more of a cakey feel than a fried dough flavor. I also ordered some of their iced coffee and was super content with that - I'd say their roast is more medium-dark, just how I like it! Will definitely take another trip here next time I'm in Long Beach. The thin layer of glaze wasn't too sweet and added a much needed sugar coating. and This one was truly incredible due to its texture and is what all other cake doughnuts on this planet aspire to be! - Jelly Doughnut: (7/10) Pretty standard doughnut. The jelly had a tartness which complemented the sweetness from the donut. The donut itself was very sweet, likely from sprinkled sugar. - Cinnamon Doughnut: (6/10) This was an average doughnut. It was super reminiscent of Auntie Anne's cinnamon sugar pretzel bites. It also seemed much more dense than the others and coded with lots of sugar. - S'mores Doughnut: (6/10) This doughnut was surprisingly good and not super sticky or too overly sweet! It definitely could have used a graham cracker aspect which would have made it more of a s'mores doughnut overall, though. - Chocolate Sprinkles Doughnut: (10/10) This was hands down, THE best chocolate sprinkle doughnut we've ever had!! Perfect ratio of chocolate and sprinkles and the doughnut texture was impeccable. It had a slightly crispy outside and extremely moist and fluffy inside. Will definitely be back for this baby! - French Toast Doughnut: (7/10) This one had good flavor with the maple syrup glaze and cinnamon. However, it definitely could have used some more of both for some more dimension. Service: (7/10) We walked in and were politely greeted by the worker. She informed us of all the flavors they had left that day, which was most of them (luckily). Atmosphere: (NA/10) We came here during the COVID-19 pandemic and indoor seating was closed. There were some wall seats towards the back, but we weren't able to dine-in. The place was very small and cramped. These doughnuts were the perfect size for a cheeky treat! I was a happy camper. My donut was tasty. I got the fruity pebble with pink frosting! The donut was lite, fluffy, great combo and not to sweet. It wasn't greasy either. The have a rack and all the donuts are on them and when they are sold out they take a flag out of the donuts in the two racks in the front. (I didn't know them). When we got up to the front we told her we wanted one of each new they were sold out of everything except ONE fruity pebble and cinnamon! So my friend gave her a debit/credit card and she said "cash only". When my friend was going to get cash out of the ATM I asked the lady where the sign was she said it says ATM only on the outside. By the time she came back the sprinkle donuts were being made so we got one of those. Six donuts total for 7 bucks. Great deal! In the city they are a little bigger but 4 bucks each. So all of those donut lovers this is a great deal. I know it's a small location, but why is there ONE person making donuts on a Sunday? To be really honest I don't get it. Even if you came in super early it doesn't make any sense. People love their donuts and coffee on a Sunday its, "Sunday Funday" so we are going to need someone else to help with donut making on the weekends! When I walked outside I checked for the "ATM only" sign, which it does. Although, it doesn't say cash only anywhere. I know I'm NOT brand new or do I own a business, but they need a sign. I have been wanting to go here for as long as I can remember and after eating at swing belly's I realized it was a block away! I'm so glad I FINALLY tried this place because the doughnuts are warm, fresh, and delectable. I tried the vanilla crunch, cinna-crumb, French toast and chocolate frosting! Each were amazing in their own ways. The vanilla melts in your mouth and is the perfect amount of sweet, the cinna-crumb was one of my favs because it tasted like a crumb cake doughnut, the French toast one tasted...well clearly like French toast and the chocolate one was the most AMAZING chocolate frosting (is it frosting they put on top of donuts? Who knows). Anyhow the chocolate topping was the best I had...it didn't taste artificial but instead thick and fresh! For the service: There was only one lady working and yet she was incredibly fast and was attentive to everyone's needs which is awesome! I really value fast workers who give you your food right away! She was also very kind telling us about the amount of flavors they have throughout the week (they have the most on the weekends keep in mind!) Slightly greasy (but in my opinion great representation of what's donut is at its best); on the smaller size compared to some competitors, but not underwhelming at all. Of the two, the fruity pebble donut was just a great burst of flavor and personally my favorite. The maple bacon donut is nothing to look down at by any means however. A very cool donut idea executed excellently. My girlfriend was feeling like an ultimate basic white girl that day and ordered the jelly donut.
