It's a great concept; there's no debating that. But the price is startling. I willingly spent about $8 for a pair of donuts that were made out of nothing precious. But then I noticed the display for the boxes of mini donuts and I had to review, rather than just check in. I mean check out my photo: $35 for 24 little donuts that are about 2 or 3 bites. It's $60 for four dozen of these little bites. And what you have to remember, is that the specialness of duck donuts is their ability to cook these things to your specifications and hot and fresh upon your order? The mini donuts don't really even hold much icing or other toppings and they're surely not cooked at the time when people will be eating them. Someone needs to explain this breaks point. Call me Homer because I love a good donut. Where this place excels- they fry the donuts fresh, top it and hand it over still warm. It's delicious, overly sweet (sometimes) but the dough is so delicate. I wash it down with an iced coffee with no sugar and you're good to go! My only gripe is they use the same batter for all their donuts. I wish they had a yeast donut option vs all cake or even a different flavored cake option (like chocolate batter). Also, when ordering a dozen of donuts in store, it can take pretty long for your order since they have to design each donut individually on the spot. I learned to order ahead. Same in this location. A warm donut (sweet already) gets a frosting, toppings, and drizzle. Don't expect to grab and go bec it takes time to customize each one. Better to eat when the donut is warm. But, maybe not for me anymore, too much sugar. I did request no frosting on mine but I still could only eat a small piece of it. $3.50 each but comes out lower when getting at least 1/2 dozen or a dozen. I was hesitate on making this post but I reached out to Duck Donuts and never received a response. I went to Duck Donuts for the very first time this past Saturday and the experience went from great to terrible. After you make your purchase you stand to the side as the associate customizes your donuts. As I was sitting watching the blonde hair associate make the donuts she had her long hair in a half up half down style which I presume to be unsanitary because when dealing with food your hair should be up and put away to avoid hair falling in food. But then as I was watching it got worse the blonde hair associate had a long sleeve furry crew neck on and as she was dipping her hand in the toppings SO WAS HER SWEATER. Which was absolutely unsanitary and disturbing. Then as she got to my order & started decorating my donuts her sweater around her elbow area got stuck on a glazed donut and she SHOOK THE DONUT OFF. I then got up and let her know I saw the donut stick to her sweater & I wouldn't be accepting that order. She apologized and proceeded. But my thing is that she knew her sweater touched the donut and proceeded to at as it it was nothing, there needs to be uniform as well as sanitary rules put into place. I know a food inspector would have a field day with what I saw. Be careful and always say something! read more

I went back to Android after testing out the waters with apple from last summer in Mid-July or end of August until now. So they had to activate the Samsung Galaxy s23 I got off eBay. I noticed Duck Donuts. Money has been so tight for me lately but I had to go to Duck Donuts, I needed to try it. I got the Maple bacon donut and it was worth it! The right amount of frosting, more bacon (but who doesn't ever want more bacon?), perfect dough ratio to frosting ratio, the maple syrup added to it making the donut so much better. It is so hard to get good donuts on this Island. I hated grindstone in Sag Harbor, I'm not a doughology fan, I don't like dunkin too much so it's nice to know I can come to a Duck Donuts once in awhile and get something good. read more

This place is a decent find if you're in the mood for fresh donuts! I love that they make these warm in front of you. You get to pick whatever flavors you'd like. Located on intersection of Jericho Turnpike and Marcus Avenue, in the strip mall. You can smell the fresh donuts as soon as you walk in. Clean location and donuts made fresh in front of you. They had a kiosk to order from but the screen was not working so we ordered from the cashier. They have large TV screens with their menu and several laminated pages on the cashier counter with all the options to choose from, which are a lot of different donut options. They offer coffee/espresso drinks too. The donuts seem to be all vanilla cake based and you can either pick a pre-customized donut or build your own; you can pick the glaze, topping and drizzle of your choice. Each donut is $2.99 and they have different prices for buying donuts in bulk. We went with the beach ball donut; vanilla glaze, rainbow sprinkles, chocolate drizzle and a build your own donut; lemon glaze, coconut flakes, marshmallow drizzle. The plain donut is placed in the box and topped/decorated in the box so you get all the yummy extras that fall off the donut when they are putting it together. They have free sugar/cinnamon sugar covered donuts to take while you wait for your order, which was pretty cool. Missed the five stars because of the inability to order on the kiosk; would be nice to order this way versus with the cashier. I didn't think any of the donuts were really out of this world as others mentioned on here. That's just my personal opinion but not the only reason for the lower rating. They cross contaminate while they dress each donut up. My daughter is allergic to peanuts and had we ordered one, I'm almost certain it would've been on all the others. The person making the donuts wasnt the neatest either and her work station was an utter mess. She also manages to get sugar and glaze all over the outside of the box. By the time I get it to the car, my hands all sticky and im not sure where to set it. I'd pass on coming back. read more

Too many flavors to try! And if it wasn't raining and cold, I would've wanted a donut shake to go with this box of goodies. Loved this one. - Oreo cookies and cream - family favorite since there were crumbs of Oreos - Peanut butter and jelly - very sweet. More peanut than jelly though. I wish it was more balanced. - Vanilla with rainbow sprinkles and chocolate drizzle - my kiddo's favorite on the classic. - Lemon and raspberry drizzle - good lemon flavor - French Toast - it really does taste like French Toast! They specialize in making each donut fresh on the spot for you, whether you end up choosing one of the pre-selected flavors or if you make your own. The donuts are constantly being pumped out so each one is warm and fresh. The base of the donut is your classic old fashioned cake donut. When you choose your flavors, they then take the donut and top it off with the coating, toppings, and drizzle. I like that each one is made fresh to order but the coatings were too sweet for my taste. However, my friends really enjoyed it. The coatings are constantly being heated up so it warms up the donut even if the donut is cooled. We also got coffee and an Oreo milkshake, both of which you can't really go wrong with. read more
