Pizza was very disappointing. Very bland. Very little sausage on the pizza. Not even sure it had one piece of sausage per square. Honey bbq sauce on the boneless wings was good but the wings were similar to Pizza Hut's. The best thing about the meal was the celery that came with the wings. Terrible my food was sitting under the warmer for 10 minutes,and the worst part was I saw the worker eat my food

First of all we had a toddler and were placed upstairs. Placed an order for child's chicken strips, so they could cool before mom and dad go their food... those never showed up until after we were half way finished with our meal... no apologies and waitress thought complimenting the cuteness of my child would help NOPE... when the child's food arrived it was still hot and dripping in grease (I watched the cook take them out of the fryer by stabbing them with a knife... the waitress place them in front of the two year old UM NO! Hand the to a parent... had no time to talk to ANYONE BECAUSE they were not available and I had to get my now still hungry child that would not eat because mom and dad were done back on the road. This all in conjunction with the fact that my food sat on the line for 5 mins she told me it was up and still took way too much time for it to come up so it was COLD! I stopped here with some friends while at a teachers' conference at the Sullivan Bros. Center across the street for an early lunch. It was around 9:45, but we'd already been conference-ing for several hours and we were told that our only options were the cafeteria and Subway. Hungry for neither, we walked around the corner and - surprise! - this place had opened early for the conference, complete with a "Welcome Teachers" sign out front. Pizza sounded pretty good, so in we went. We were seated quickly in the deceptively large upstairs dining room despite a rush of conferencegoers. My girlfriend and I ordered a plain Chicago-style, while our vegetarian friends ordered a NY-style Mediterranean pizza. Our food took a little while to come out even though the place wasn't terribly busy, which was my only gripe. My guess would be that either they weren't prepared for conference customers or that their oven isn't big enough. Regardless, we had to eat in a hurry. Now, I'll be the first to point out if a place isn't authentic to its touted regional influences, especially with regards to NY-style pizza. Also, full disclosure - I've never had pizza in Chicago. But, I'll also be the first to say that I do not care one iota how "authentic" a place is if it tastes this good. Our pizza was a delightful combination of tangy sauce, stretchy cheese, and a soft, bready, flavorful crust. I was literally heartbroken that we couldn't finish a large between the two of us and didn't have anywhere to put the leftovers. Our friends were thrilled with their Mediterranean-style, although it was something of a cracker crust, which is not an authentic NY-style crust. But who gives a damn if it tastes good? I'm not qualified to speak on Chicago-style pizza, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone seeking a real New York slice. I would absolutely recommend it, however, to anyone who doesn't get hung up on authenticity and is just looking for a really, really good pizza. read more

I stopped here for lunch today on a whim. I wish I hadn't! I ordered a new york style pizza, and when I got it, it in no way resembled the stuff you get in NYC! The crust reminded me on a bland cracker. The toppings were not horrible, but the crust kind of overpowered my experience. The one up-side to the experience was my server. I decided to give this place a try based on good referrals and ended up calling them for a takeout order which 1st wasn't very pleasant cuz I couldn't even understand the person taking my order 2nd her lack of phone skills. I will not be returning for their so called "pizza" based on lack of any flavor and overall unimpressive appearance. The attendant who serviced me when I arrived turned out to be the same woman who took my order over the phone and she was just as un-attentive and forgetful in person as she was too busy canoodling with guys instead of remembering my order. The only reason l am giving this place 2 stars is for their breadsticks and Alfredo dipping sauce which were the only decent things on their menu that I actually enjoyed. read more

Couldn't disagree with the above reviews more. I've been eating Chicago pizzas for over 50 years and this pizza would fit into our fair city with no problem. I visited Cedar Falls over the weekend, and dined at Doughy Joey's on Saturday night. Their meat lovers pizza was excellant, and the crust was wonderful. No, it's not Giordano's, but we don't need another Giordano's. This pizza was excellant in it's own right. I highly recommend them. read more
