Trip down memory lane in a visit to our hometown! The atmosphere and decor were great. The food wonderful. We had the warm goat cheese and nearly licked the plate! We have been visiting Tony's for YEARS. Many family meals and date nights when we visit our family from Minnesota. We will not be returning after our most recent experience. The server, who also happened to be a manager, was absolutely rude and acted like we were an inconvenience. It was so unexpected and unacceptable. It takes A LOT to ruffle my mother-in-law's feathers, she is the sweetest person on earth, and she also found the wait for our food (40 minutes for a thin crust pizza?) and response from the manager when we asked about our food unacceptable. We also needed to get up and ask the hostess for boxes. Too much to put into words, but your management needs some training on how to treat restaurants guests. We know quite a few people in Cedar Falls, my father-in-law previously owned buildings in Cedar Falls, and this word will spread. So sad. A little courtesy and kindness would have gone. A LONG way and smoothed over any bumps, instead we felt like we were the problem with her tone, excuses and rudeness when asking about our pizzas when it had been 45+ minutes since placing our order. read more

We tried to order build your own salad but it was unavailable. I got the wedge and my husband got the Caesar. We asked for grilled chicken to be added. We got a really dry, like really really dry, rotisserie chicken. My husbands salad was inedible from the dressing that tasted spoiled. Mine was edible but not great. We have eaten here several times and never a complaint until today. Walked in and they were busy. Had a waitress walk past us 3-4 times and not even acknowledge that we were standing there. Not even a "someone will be with you in a minute". Good 5-8 minutes later we finally get seated. Host told us who our watress was and off he went. Did not even leave us with menus. Horrible experience with the food. Chicken Alfredo pizza had hardly any chicken and when I finally got a bite it was terrible taste like it was boiled and tossed on wet without flavor. My friend had hair in her salad, another had missing items and another terrible chicken pizza. Waitress was great and did what she could to make it better but the quality of the food wasn't up to expectations. This restaurant has always been a favorite but it's going down quickly.
