Tony's was such a fun stop for our group while visiting town! Our large group got seated at what we happily deemed the "King Arthur table". It made our group's night out on the town even more special. The service was amazing! Everyone was helpful and kind, but even more important--they were patient with our big group. When realized they had run out of an item, they were quick to accommodate and remedy the situation. And finally...the pizza!!! We were pleasantly surprised with just how amazing the restaurant pizza was. We ordered the house pizza, chicken Alfredo, Thai chicken, and a GF barbecue pizza. It was all delicious! The Alfredo is probably the best Alfredo I've had and was a nice touch in the Thai pizza as well. It seemed to be our groups favorite but only just. It was hard to decide with how much we loved each unique pie. Even the gluten free pizza was yummy! It was difficult to tell the crust was GF with how good it was. (Our GF can confirm from next day testament that it was indeed GF, worry not!) We also ordered the cheesy garlic bread and the nachos as appetizers, bother were equally delicious but unfortunately unpictured... All around a great experience. The only reason for 4/5 stars is the wait time. We waited a long time to finally order. Once we did, we only waited about 10-15 minutes for our food. read more

We stopped by after the wedding of two friends of ours for the reception ( congratulations to Mike and Tina!). I can't remember if I'd ever been to Tony's before...if I had it's been years ago. It's definitely worth coming back to now that we've been here. The thin crust pizzas were very good and the sauce in particular was very good! Tony's is a delicious place that accommodated both my gluten free and my partners vegan diets! The onion rings were spectacular - haven't had them since I was diagnosed with celiacs more than a decade ago. Scott had a vegan pizza with Daiya cheese (our favorite), and I had a burrata salads. Some of the best thin crust with a very tangy sauce, it's a sitdown restaurant not fast food. It'll take a while to get to you, but it's fast enough as long as you know may take a half hour longer to get an order if busy. Trip down memory lane in a visit to our hometown! The atmosphere and decor were great. The food wonderful. We had the warm goat cheese and nearly licked the plate! We had the moz sticks for an app - would pass on the three sauces and just get the typical marinara. The garlic ranch is no bueno and and the ranch is ranch. You get 4 sticks for $9....if you get there for happy hour they are $4. They are good. Service - it can be spotting. We have been visiting Tony's for YEARS. Many family meals and date nights when we visit our family from Minnesota. We will not be returning after our most recent experience. The server, who also happened to be a manager, was absolutely rude and acted like we were an inconvenience. It was so unexpected and unacceptable. It takes A LOT to ruffle my mother-in-law's feathers, she is the sweetest person on earth, and she also found the wait for our food (40 minutes for a thin crust pizza?) and response from the manager when we asked about our food unacceptable. We also needed to get up and ask the hostess for boxes. Too much to put into words, but your management needs some training on how to treat restaurants guests. We know quite a few people in Cedar Falls, my father-in-law previously owned buildings in Cedar Falls, and this word will spread. So sad. A little courtesy and kindness would have gone. A LONG way and smoothed over any bumps, instead we felt like we were the problem with her tone, excuses and rudeness when asking about our pizzas when it had been 45+ minutes since placing our order. read more

Came for a quick dinner tonight. Ordered cheese sticks and two salads. We were one of 4 maybe 5 tables on both sides. It took 45 minutes to get. Our server was great though. We tried to order build your own salad but it was unavailable. I got the wedge and my husband got the Caesar. We asked for grilled chicken to be added. We got a really dry, like really really dry, rotisserie chicken. My husbands salad was inedible from the dressing that tasted spoiled. Mine was edible but not great. This is the second time we've been and just totally disappointed in the food from how we remembered it years ago Next the cleanliness, there are pizza boxes for to go orders stacked right outside the bathrooms. We have eaten here several times and never a complaint until today. Walked in and they were busy. Had a waitress walk past us 3-4 times and not even acknowledge that we were standing there. Not even a "someone will be with you in a minute". Good 5-8 minutes later we finally get seated. Host told us who our watress was and off he went. Did not even leave us with menus. We waited a good 15 minutes while the other tables around us got service. At the 25 minute mark as the host was seating another party I told him we no longer wanted the table due to no service. We ordered two pizzas: Cheese and a Hawaiian (Pineapple and Ham). It wasn't too long before they came to the table. Being from St Louis they seemed to look like Imos pizza. I am NOT a fan of Imos. I have spent over 30 years flying back and forth at least once a year to eat pizza at the only 2 places that I call "Thin Crust Pizza Heaven", "Balistreri's" in Wauwatosa, WI (Milwaukee) and "The Quonset" in Waukeegan Il. Greeting people, answering the phone, putting the paper towels, toilet paper in the dispenser. But all that is pretty basic negligence with wear and tear in pandemic aftermath. But what's not forgivable is acting like to place an order is a burden to you. What else, after all, are we there to do other than provide a meal. Horrible experience with the food. Chicken Alfredo pizza had hardly any chicken and when I finally got a bite it was terrible taste like it was boiled and tossed on wet without flavor. My friend had hair in her salad, another had missing items and another terrible chicken pizza. Waitress was great and did what she could to make it better but the quality of the food wasn't up to expectations. This restaurant has always been a favorite but it's going down quickly. Bathroom was leaking from the ceiling and the sink didn't work at all. Menus were paper and out of date.
