    Douglas Cafe aka Cozy Cafe
    Cris E.

Hey there my Yelp family. My wife and I visited this little cafe by a suggestion on Yelp. What a treat!! The wait staff was great, and let us sit were ever we wanted. Coffee was offered and a great little menu was given to us. We both wanted The Cozy Ness with a side of bacon. I was shocked how quickly our food was done and on our table. It was fresh also. Not just sitting under a heat lamp waiting for us to order. The Douglas Cafe is not much on fancy, but man they can make a yummy breakfast. They kept the coffee coming and were very friendly. If you are looking for a great place to take a loved one, or friends who come into town, this is the place. I'm really surprised it took me two years living here to find this place. Do yourself a favor and give the Douglas Cafe a try, you won't be sorry. Thanks for reading my ramblings - Sepi

For the most important meal of the day, if you like to make sure you eat something hearty, like gramma would make, Douglas Cafe is here for you. I had the half order of Cozy Mess (loaded hash browns with 2eggs and toast) and it was chalk full of veggies and meats. The hash browns were crispy but maybe a touch greasy. My dining companion liked his western omelet but commented it was too heavy on the green pepper and wished he'd ordered the cozy mess as well. Staff was friendly and attentive. We used a groupon for our meal making it a heck of a breakfast bargain.

Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday. My Ruben was delicious and Grilled Turkey Bacon Melt had actual real turkey. Fries were crispy and golden brown. To top it off was what my niece called the " best lemon meringue pie I have ever eaten " it disappeared before I could get a picture. Can't wait to go back to check out breakfast.

Food was pretty gross. Didn't get what we ordered. I imagine that kitchen is also disgusting as the tables are never cleaned well.

The host worked to get everyone seated as quickly as he could. A server was at the table almost immediately for our drink order, and they were served in no time. There is quite a selection of breakfast and lunch items to choose from, and I settled on The Classic. I really liked the option for a small cake instead of toast, and I enjoyed that tremendously! The ham steak was thick, juicy, and flavorful, and the eggs were scrambled perfectly. The hash browns were a little bland, and I would rather have had an option for breakfast potatoes instead. But the meal was good and reasonably priced for the portions. For those who like coffee, there is a wide selection of options. The place is cozy inside with warm colors and all of the workers were extremely friendly in their interactions with customer. I felt very welcome and the table was well taken care of throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is nestled in a strip mall off the main street, so it isn't something I would know was there if I were just driving by. But now that I know it is here, I will definitely make a return trip to try additional items on the menu that caught my attention (I'm looking at you apple and blueberry bread, cinnamon rolls, and crake!)

It's got that old-school, decoupaged diner vibe--definitely a little worn around the edges, but that's part of the charm. The staff was great--loud, friendly, and clearly tight with the regulars, which actually made us feel more at home. Our waitress was super helpful and made some solid recommendations. We sat near the kitchen window and got to watch a parade of delicious-looking plates come out. Food-wise: prices were fair if not a touch expensive, portions were generous, and most of it hit the mark. Pancakes were huge (seriously--massive), but ours were a touch underdone. Everything else was on point, though, and we'd absolutely come back and try more menu options. The have daily specials; Weiner Wednesday looks interesting...

We started off with their signature LIBRARY LATTE - Vanilla Vodka, Irish Cream, RumChata, and Cold Brew Coffee for $9, these are both dangerous and delicious! My mom ordered the bacon and mushroom omelette with potatoes and a pancake $13 + 1 on the side. Kimee ordered the biscuits and gravy $11 with eggs and I got the eggs Benedict $13 with the salmon +$3 (wow) and side of potatoes.
