However, I always ensure my new insurance includes Dr. Jain before I take the insurance. She takes care of me and many of my friends with the best care. She is an amiable and experienced doctor. When River Oak Medical Group moved into this new office many years ago, it was a significant improvement from the old office. The office is starting to show the age now. But it's still way better than some doctor's offices I have seen. River Oak Medical Group is a smaller medical group. They may not be getting the benefit of the huge medical groups or hospitals. But they offer more personal care. You get to know most of the people in there like a family.

Since then, errors have been made on my long term medications, but worst of all, their phone system only works 50% of the time. If you do get through, there is no option to speak to anybody. They have acknowledged their phone system is wonky but it's been a year and it hasn't been fixed. I'd hate to give up the people who know me and who have cared for me for twenty years but this is becoming untenable. If a medical practice won't answer phones I'm not sure what use they can be to patients. They have a messaging system but they require three working days for a response. Please, whoever is in charge, fix this. This is not a people problem, it's a reaching people problem. Rich, Dr. Reyna and the staff are amazing and helpful. (Tip: if you are lucky and the phone rings, press billing, you get a live person. Everything else is voice mail.)

It seems many doctors these days do physical exams by sitting next to you with a computer and enter information into the computer as you answer their questions. But they never touch you. They don't listen to your heart, feel your organs or anything of the sort. My experience with Dr. Kramer was the opposite of this. He was all over me the way I remember doctors doing it when I was younger. He was very clear about what he was doing and asked me all about my and my family's medical history. It was a very thorough exam, and I feel like I'm in good hands with Dr. Kramer as my primary care physician.

Dr. Fujikawa is still a great doctor, but notably absent and any request to see him was ignored and scheduled with his PA. Kristen was good as well, but I feel like I'm starting all over again with a new provider and the process is frustrating. It's very hard to get an appointment, impossible to get a call back from the messages I'm forced to leave during business hours, and the support staff (the worst being the main receptionist) are painful to deal with. I have since left the practice and looking back on all the garbage I've had to deal with, I'm kicking myself for staying so long and trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. Saddened to see the decline of this once thriving practice!

Needed to change meds as diuretics and endurance athletes (and Sac heat) don't mix. PA was helpful but continued going down a "standard" list of meds - that continued to wreak havoc on my training. Eventually I had to do my own research to identify BP meds that are tolerated by athletes. After complaining that I thought I was being ripped off for being charged for an office visit every 6 months to get refills, he refused to serve me. He sent a letter stating I wasn't allowed to return and if I wanted my medical records I would have to pay $25. All-in-all it was for the better as my new doctor didn't put me on BP meds and I am vastly more healthy.

We don't always agree but I will always respect him and I hope I have earned a bit of his respect. I am usually done with the appointment within 1 hour. The office is very clean, comfortable and relaxing. As he is a pain management Dr you will occasionally see a person disgruntled for various reasons (usually because they are seeking drugs or have found some small reason to be irate... most patients are in pain so I'm not trying to judge) and I'd imagine that the negative reviews here are a direct result of either of those conditions. I have been pissy for a few reasons before but when I calm down I realize that I was the jerk.
