I knew which windows (4 of them) I wanted replaced since an Anderson Renewal guy had come out separately to inspect & provide a quote. Chris from Main Street was extremely kind, helpful, and upfront. I chose them ultimately because of this pleasant meeting, urgency for the replacement, and fair price. He was my only point of contact the whole job which was nice and he was on top of communicating things throughout the whole process. We also have siding being replaced so he communicated with my other contractor to coordinate timing. Pricing was very reasonable compared to Renewal but more expensive than a DIY vinyl install because of the window quality. I wanted a window that would last and was willing to pay more. The Anderson 100 series installed was literally half the cost of what Renewal had quoted me (I believe they quoted the 300 series) but are very high quality windows regardless and we really like them. There are some minor aesthetic defects from the manufacturing of the windows (pictured here) but they can be trimmed off very easily and aren't a concern. The installer Dre came in with Dan as support and they did a beautiful job. I had plenty of notice beforehand and they finished the job exactly as estimated (about 6 hours) after cleaning up very nicely. All in all, I thought Main Street Windows had a competitive price, I appreciated their recommendation for the product, they did a great job communicating, and the windows look great.

The communication and scheduling was lacking, so we were a little frustrated, but it didn't prepare us for the ordeal we were going to be dealing with. We live in an old house, 1920's. My husband expressed this many times, that appropriate measures would have to be taken as we had lead in our old windows and trim. I heard him over the phone as well as in person and he was assured they would take the steps necessary. The day the windows were to be replaced, my kids and I left the house. Two windows were in our daughters room, the other in our guest bedroom. One window was oriented the wrong way and still installed. The worst part was, after removing the old windows, the workers took leaf blowers out to blow debris out into the yard below and all over the rooms. My husband ran upstairs and yelled at them to stop, that once again, there was lead paint involved. They stopped and cleaned up, but not well enough. My husband wiped everything down afterwards, not trusting it was cleaned properly. A few months later, my daughter received test results showing elevated levels of lead in her blood. It was quick and not a single other person in our family had any detectable levels. I was livid. I'm still livid. I don't care that one of our windows is wrong or that it took forever to arrange communication. I'm livid that lead safe practices weren't followed as promised and my child had to pay for it. You can't put a price on that. Thankfully, she's grown, and the situation is under control now, but if you have an old house, I would absolutely not recommend this company. To the owner, if your business gives homeowners your word that things will be done safely and following safe standards, you need to follow through. Safety should be top priority. This could have had a very poor outcome.

We called, texted, and emailed them many, many times to get them to come back and finish the job. After 8 attempts going unanswered, the owner finally picked up the phone and arranged for someone to come out and finish the job. Nobody showed up! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! Also, the person who answers the phone mentioned something to my husband about thinking our house was a rental, and I'm not really sure what that has to do with anything or why she would have said it, but when my husband questioned her, she said she doesn't have to be yelled at and hung up on him. Now, I was not there when this conversation took place, but he told me that he did not yell at her at this point in their conversation. This is the only unresolved issue that we have with the company, and I would very much like an answer as to why she would have said something like that.

Within a year, issues began with the garage door including massive water retention within the panels and pooling of water inside the garage due to faulty engineering in the garage door. They reported the issue and upon inspection, they offered to replace the windows on the garage door in late 2016. This did not solve the issue. Additional reports were made, additional inspections by the owner were met with poor customer service, blaming the customer, and lack of accountability by not taking ownership for an issue created by a faulty product. Fast forward to 2019, the issue is still unresolved. Vinyl Sash does not provide our community with quality products or customer service.

Would probably have been more since the quote didn't include everything we talked about. Where I took issue with our brief interaction was their pointed claims of only they "do it right" and effectively shaming our choice when letting them know we are going with somebody else. Wish I had just ghosted them. Others we have worked with were a pleasure to deal with and professional. Talking about their capabilities and what to expect instead of bashing the competition.

My old windows were over 40 years old and drafty. I contacted Hansons along with several other outfits to get estimates and decided that the quality and price of Hanson was the best choice. I purchased nine custom made high-end , low E windows and installation. The windows were delivered on time and customer communication was good. I had a few questions for the contractors that came out and performed the work and those questions were answered at that time. The first winter I noticed in one bedroom the wood and wall received moisture damage. Not from typical condensation so I reached out to Hansons and they sent someone out to look into the matter. The problem was discovered to be caulk covered the window track drain panel which they were able to correct on the spot. I can say that that is the only issue I have had with my new windows or the workman ship. Over all, we are satisfied customers and would likely recommend to others.

We continually call them back as windows are stuck, locks not working, currently two of our three pane windows have water inside the panes. Just major frustration! Certainly not energy efficient.
