Room was cute but there there were black curly hairs all over the bathroom (I'm bald and my girlfriend that joined me is blonde)...coffee maker had old coffee grounds in it and the fridge had old noodles in a Tupperware container. Furnace shook the floor/walls and was very loud. There was an uncomfortable daybed where a couch would have been preferred. Place sure looks cute - great character in the building and the gardens are eclectic and fun looking...poor execution makes this a place I will not revisit, which is unfortunate as it has potential.

We needed a suite for 4 adults. The little living room at the front of the suite doesn't get much air movement, so it's nice that there's no actual door between the living room (with sofa bed) and bedroom (with 2 queens), though, if you were looking for close-door privacy between the spaces, you won't get it! Beds were comfortable enough. USB outlets are USB-A (rectangular plug) rather than the more common USB-C (smaller more universal, oval plug), but we brought blocks to use at the actual outlet on the nightstand. Since we needed two though, we had to unplug the clock. For us that didn't matter (we have phones) but I hope they don't have to reset the time because of it! There's a kitchenette, ish, but no sink. Only sink is in the bathroom. For a couple staying there, probably not such a deal. For 4 adults (3 separate "parties"), just means a bit of patience is needed to take turns with the bathroom. Beside the bed there was a sticky spot on the floor. The pillow cases had hair and yellow stains, and there were bits of food under the mattress pad. The dresser under the TV had a stain of some assortment as well. After bringing this up to the front desk, I had asked for a cleaner to go up and take care of the room, but cleaning staff was not available, so I had asked to borrow cleaning supplies. After sweeping the floor and cleaning parts of the jacuzzi, I came to my senses and went back down to return the cleaning supplies and demand a refund. Needless to say, we obviously did not sleep in that room. The most appalling part of this transaction was the fact that the soaps had been restocked and the towels had been as well, which means someone went into that room and decided it was customer worthy. I have waited 5 days for any sort of response to this dilemma, to no avail. Anytime I call down there, there is never management available. On this last recent visit, I specifically requested a room that does not have the ability to adjoin another room. We were assigned a room that did have the door to adjoin another room. We then realized after 9pm that the toilet did not flush in our bathroom, and the water in the toilet actually kept rising. The desk agent (not Alex) told us there was no maintenance on the property so she moved us across the hall to another room with a door that again adjoins another room. That new room was dirty, had no toiletries, and the bed was awful. We actually stayed in that room on a recent trip, too. That's why we did not want a room with the door that could adjoin another room. The rooms next door are loud because there is less sound barrier. The "new" room also had a big open hole in the refrigerator space in the cabinet with exposed electrical wiring and a tunnel to who knows where. (There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room outside of the space where they are typically located in the other hotel rooms.) Per the usual, the hotel's plumbing did not work correctly. We canceled our most recent reservation at the LQ Pueblo hotel because we couldn't continue paying for a service that did not meet expectations and continued to disappoint. We often travel between Texas and Montana, making this hotel a convenient stopover in between. I guess it's not so convenient given the inconvenient features and experiences. Forget it. We stayed at a LQ in Colorado Springs this time. It's an older property, but it wasn't as dirty, the plumbing worked as it should, and the bed was actually comfortable. The LQ in Pueblo needs some major upgrades. Start with the plumbing. Also, have Alex train the staff. She should be a manager. She knows the property. She knows the reservation process and how to help customers with their stays. She listens, and she is proactive. We have enjoyed pleasant stays at the LQ in Pueblo in years past, but the last few years have not been kind to this hotel.
