If an individual has vision insurance and health insurance, they are to bill the vision insurance first and then the health insurance. Otherwise it's a type of fraud. I went to their office and what should have been a $10 copay for my office visit, they charged $121. They had my vision insurance and they are the only optometrist I have ever seen for a routine exam that asked for my health insurance information. When I asked them did you bill my vision insurance? The young lady at the desk said nope. Well why not? Now, they did reimburse me the additional $110 that they charged me. But to date still have not charged my vision insurance. Why is that? Oh, I know why, because they'll get a large reimbursement by billing my health insurance. This was for a routine eye exam in order to get new glasses. Not a comprehensive eye exam for cataracts or glaucoma or macular. It was only to get a new prescription for eyewear. I actually read the review by the business owner. Just to be clear, I called my vision insurance before and after my visit . They made it very clear that you are to bill the vision insurance first and then my medical insurance. In the 45 years that I've been paying for my own vision insurance. You're the only company that has ever billed my health insurance first and only. It is a matter of a possible fraudulent business practice. My vision insurance is in the prospect of looking into that and will make recommendation.

He said I won't give you that over the phone you have to physically come into the office for that information. I asked if they could email it instead and he said they don't have access to email?!? When I asked to speak to someone else or a manager, he said he was the office manager and there was no one else I could speak to. He began speaking over me so I started speaking louder than him which did not stop him so I yelled at him to stop to which he began laughing. I said in a normal tone this isn't funny why are you laughing at me and I said that someone had to be over him and he said call back tomorrow and you can talk to my manager while he was still laughing. He also told me he wouldn't give me his managers name at first but did finally provide it. I will not be calling his manager nor ever going back to any Visionworks after this. If you want your PD just call the 800 number and don't waste your time with this place.

We actually wound up paying less for BOTH pairs of glasses than I would have paid for mine alone at any other establishment in town. I got trifocals (my first year with them) and chose no-line, laser cut lenses in feather-light frames and I couldn't be happier. My son, who has always had to have very thick lenses, got to choose thinner lenses (thanks to Mr. Beeler letting us know they were, in fact, an option), as well as titanium frames and transition lenses. All together, even with all the extras, we paid far less than we would have paid anywhere else! In addition to the excellent products, the service was above and beyond what we expected as well. We had everything thoroughly explained to us and there was absolutely no pressure to upgrade at all. The wait time was much less than what we've spent in the past at other places, waiting to be served. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Reading the reviews is one thing, but as I sat in the waiting area (being inquisitive like I am) I spoke with many who were also waiting for their glasses.
