Neither of them even greeted us or said "hi." We stood there for about four minutes before one of them finally asked, "Do you have an appointment?" We said yes. She then told us, "Give me a moment. I'll see if the person who will be serving you is able to take you or not." She disappeared for a while and came back with another woman. After speaking with us, they told us that they could not provide us with any service because we were late and that we would have to make another appointment and come back on a different day. My daughter and I were honestly shocked. We couldn't understand why, when there were four employees sitting there with nothing apparent to do, not one of them was willing to take a moment to see what we wanted to do with our hair. What makes this even more confusing is that your website clearly says "Walk-ins Welcome," which gives customers the impression that they can walk in without an appointment and receive your services, depending on availability. So why were we treated this way? The way we were treated felt extremely unwelcoming and, frankly, discriminatory. The lack of greeting, the long wait before anyone even acknowledged us, and the refusal to provide any service despite the circumstances left us feeling very uncomfortable and unwelcome. This was a very disappointing experience, and I absolutely do not recommend this place. Honestly, this place doesn't deserve even one star because of the discriminatory way we were treated. I also forgot to mention that they charged us a $50 booking fee and then refused to refund our money, even though they did not provide us with any service. Honestly, this is one of the worst places I have ever dealt with. The way we were treated was extremely disrespectful and discriminatory, and then they kept our $50 booking fee on top of everything. This place does not deserve even one star. I absolutely do NOT recommend it.

Once she was done, payment was easy and my niece said her hair felt and looked amazing! Es tan inexperta y arrogante esa senora no le importan sus clientas porque si le haiga importado me haiga arreglado el pelo pero no lo hizo alcontrario me queria cobrar mas dinero por su error! depasarse de bleach y quemarme mi pelo ! Estoy totalmente arrepientida de haber hido allí ! si yo hubiera sabido que era tan inexperta nunca hubiera ido a ese salon. El color que me dejo era un color anaranjado blancoso y quemado de bleach! es absolutamente repugnante, Fui al dia siguiente y le dije que me havia dejado el pelo anaranjado y blancoso bien feo y me dijo que yo no estaba acostrumbrada a verme el pelo asi! While she was coloring my hair, 4 hours later I get an orange, brassy nasty hair color. Dalia is Super unprofessional! After getting my hair washed in an uncomfortable hair sink! After the blow dry I just wanted to get out of there. It looked totally brassy. I paid and got the heck out of there. When I got home I noticed up close all these spots on my scalp. I had orange marks all over. I had to go to another salon to get my hair evened this lady doesn't know how to do hair the only thing she does very well is to messed up and damage your hair and then say come I will fix it but it the end winds up leaving it worse than what it was. I highly encourage you to please go elsewhere this is a warning she will mess your hair!! read more

I had the WORST experience ever with Maggie!! First she botched my hair because she rushed the process & the whole time was complaining the she had an allergic reaction to her face. By the time she finished it was almost dark so I didn't see it in natural lighting. I waited about two days and realized how HORRIBLE she left my hair!! I messaged her nicely about it on Instagram and she said to come in on Saturday. I went back and she instantly was very defensive claiming because I was Hispanic my hair came out like that. I have gotten my hair professionally dyed before and only went to her because of her "25% off" sale which SHE RIPPED ME OFF!! She said my hair was too damaged and that's why it came out like that too and I said if it was damaged why couldn't you tell me that before she waisted my time. She also said that she couldn't style my hair after fixing the botched job because she was squeezing me in between clients but the day before she was posting of her story & she had availability on Sunday (the next day she booked me to fix my hair). She said I was complaining about my hair and I should be happy she was fixing it!! She should be fired!!! read more

Three years ago I went to a very "High End" Hair salon and it was the worst experience ever! Not only did they bleach my entire hair but they over processed it making half of my bottom hair fall off. I was so devastated, trying to cover it up, not only that but my hair wouldn't grow at all. I was so scared to ever step foot inside a hair salon and along came to the rescue Jessie from Downey hair studio! Not only did he made me feel welcome but he was very honest from the start on what I wanted to get done. He was very patient took his time and did exactly what I asked for ! Relocated back to southern Cali. Looked for a hair salon for a while and happen to find Downey Hair Studio on google. So happy I did.! We women know how hair is very imlortant to us, well for me it is! I came in and the staff and salon was so inviting. It was clean and very well kept so that was impressive with first look. The one AMAZING part if my experience was meeting Dalia. She was very friendly and attentive to what i was wanting and looking for. Amazing service by Dahlia. First time coming to the salon to do blonde balayage. She exceeded my expectations, she's really good at doing what she does. If you are looking for the perfect blonde she is the ONE to go to. I have been following her Instagram page for a few years and have always admired her work. I'm glad I finally got the chance to meet her and have her do my hair. I previously had a blonde balayage with dark roots, my goal was to go lighter on the roots and the blonde more ashy blonde. She was very gentle with my hair and took her time to work on my hair. She would check up on my hair to make sure it could resist the bleach and not break it. Got my hair done by Dalia Camacho. 2nd time being there and she got me to the blonde I want it to be. I was dark headead girl (which I usually get tired of the color and change it) but with her I didn't have to hesitate or even show her many pics to get me were I want to be at. My hair is not damaged even though my hair is thin I feel and it looks like i have a lot of hair now. Everyone tells me that they love my hair and i for sure let them know where I go and i recommend her when the my ask. Will I continue going to her? Just got my hair done at this amazing spot and wow, I'm impressed! The ambiance was welcoming right from the start, and the staff made me feel super comfortable. From the moment we walked in he was very professional and listened to what we wanted and walked us through the entire process. We both got color, highlights (lowlights), haircuts and styling and he absolutely nailed the look we were going for.
