I wanted purple tones added to my hair. Alyssa worked with me and was able to achieve that . It not an easy process by any means and requires a lot of patience and money. She is so sweet and accommodating . I have to say that overall I am very happy with the service. The only thing is that the color washes out quite quickly within 4 to 5 washes ( which she told me would happen) and my hair lightens . They make sure you're comfortable and the glass of wine comes in handy while waiting 4 hours. . Parking is easy and I never have to wait. They are very punctual. I got my appointment with Alyssa, she was very accomodating and kind! I know I have trouble sometimes describing the kind of haircut I get as I've only gone to cheaper hairdressers before this. So everytime my hairstyle has been a bit inconsistent and I don't have a solid example of what I usually get. But Alyssa was able to work with what I told her and checked in with me often to make sure the layers were cut to a length I was comfortable and she did a perfect job styling! I discovered Amber through Instagram and when I was finally over the blonde I saw Amber's work, booked an appointment & have been going to her since February. I have only had a handful of appointments but Amber is not only good with her work but she is funny & kind. She matches your vibe and tries to find things to talk about with you which is nice because sometimes you can be on the chair for hours depending on what you're getting done. In regards to her work, I love that she writes down what tone you get so that your hair always looks how you want it to! When you get stopped by people asking what do I use and who does your hair then you really know you have hit the jackpot. Mandi is truly talented to have brought my hair from the dead and I've truly have seen my hair transformation go from dry, brittle, split end, frizzy monster into long, luscious shiny healthy hair. I wished I had before pictures but only after pictures of my beautiful hair. Mandi gave me my beautiful wedding hair with extensions and she matched it seamlessly. I use all her branded products and now even my husband has been using them and loves them. He has wavy/curly hair so I've seen his texture of his hair improve and is less frizzy. I was beyond satisfied with the cut that Mandi gave my baby girl. It was her first hair cut so she, Mandi, gave her the full treatment. I've been coming to this salon for years and shame on me for taking this long to write a review. I can't stress enough how much I love it. My first appointments were with Mandi and she completely transformed my hair. She's a hair genius and a beautiful person inside and out. When I've been unable to make an appointment with her (due to my hectic schedule) she has set me up the amazing stylists who were just as awesome. The stylists I haven't sat with are also highly skilled, as I've seen them at work and their clients hair consistently looks fabulous! I have most recently been seeing Margaret and she is excellent! Truly one of a kind. With both haircut and color she's given me exactly what I wanted every time. I don't know what I'd do without her. :) Mandi's hair products are top notch! I've tried the hair genius leave-in conditioner. It is my go-to as a heat protectant before styling my hair. It's between that and Unite's 7 seconds detangler, which is also carried here. I have also tried Mandi's rose oil which I use for my skin and scalp when they feel too dry. The rose oil is perfect because it gives just the right amount of softness without a greasy feel. The same with the Mandi & Co luxury serum, a little goes a long way and never feels sticky or too oily. All of these products smell amazing btw! I'm sensitive to scents that are too strong but these smell sooo good without being overpowering. My favorite is probably the dry shampoo. It's one of the first dry shampoos I've tried that does not leave that residue feel. And again the scent is light and dreamy! It's always a wonderful experience here. I realize I'm in the minority here but I can't say I love this salon. There are some great things which I'll share, but the "not so great" outweigh them heavily for me. Here's what I loved: 1) Everyone here is so nice and sweet. 2) They always make you feel at home and offer beverages. 3) Appointments are easy to make online. 4) It is more affordable than the Aveda salon I used to go to. 5) Salon is cute, clean, and easy parking. 6) For me, personally, it's only 5 mins from my house so super convenient. Unfortunately for me, that's where it ends. Here's what I didn't love. 1) I went to see Alyssa three times. She is SO darn sweet and nice, and I don't want to make her feel bad. But the times I went to have her cover my grays, each time I'd get home, I'd still see gray hairs poking out that she somehow missed. 2) I never got that "salon fresh" feeling, I always went home with awful, half-dried hair. Perhaps it's because I have curly hair, I know it's more work to dry it, but sending me home looking awful with a half-wet head of hair is embarrassing. 3) My hair always looked awful within hours, and especially the next day. Usually, after getting a blow-out, my hair looks amazing for several days. Not so here - maybe it's the products they use, but my hair would look seriously awful several hours later. That's a bummer. 4) After trying three times with Alyssa, I went to see Emily. She is also very sweet. I needed just a trim for my layers, and I wanted my curly hair diffused dry. Her bio says "curly cult certified," so I thought that meant she knew how to work with curly hair, but that was not the case. Emily went too far with thinning out my hair (which I did not ask for) and now it just looks mortifying and terrible. I will have to wear my hair up for probably two months while I wait for it to grow out. My hair is curly, it should have volume! But because Emily thinned it out so much (again, I don't know why, I did not ask for that) my hair looks like a wet poodle. It's terrible and embarrassingly bad. And she sent me home with hair that was 75% wet and super flat. it looks terrible. And I was mortified looking like that leaving the salon. 5) I also paid $30 for waxing, and when I got home, I realized there was a whole strip of hair that she missed. Not just one or two hairs, but a good amount of hair. So, I had to tweeze the rest at home, which I could have done anyway and saved $30. That's super frustrating. Also, re: my hair, I'm pretty sure they know they send me home looking awful because they never took my hair photos for their Instagram. (I would have said NO but I'm saying, I'm pretty sure they knew I looked horrible.) Maybe if you have bone straight hair Alyssa and Emily are fine, but if you have curly hair and want to keep it curly, definitely find someone else, somewhere else. Sadly, I will not be returning. read more

But honestly Mandi has curated a friendly, fun, but still very professional environment here at Mandi & Co. I have been a client of Mandi for more than ten years and she is the best. Her talent for color is chef's kiss. I have changed my look many times over the years and she always nails it. At this point I give her minimal direction and trust she will have me looking refreshed and fabulous when my appointment is over. All of the stylists in the salon are great and I would feel confident and well taken care of if Mandi wasn't available for some reason. Everyone is so friendly and listens to the customer while providing their professional advice on what it best for the health of your hair. Oh and the shampoo and massage at the bowl is always on point...so relaxing. If you are looking for great service in a fun environment this is the salon for you!
