I had my first facial with Ana about 4 weeks ago. I was a little hesitant because I had no idea what I was in for. From the beginning Ana broke it all down, she assessed my skin and let me know what type of skin I had. From there she walked me through what the treatment would be, and explained every step and how it would be benefitting my skin. It was amazing and so relaxing. At the end we talked about what my routine was, the products I was using, and what is working in my routine and what I should think about dropping. I took her recommendations and kept some of my routine and added a few things in. My skin feels the best it ever has, it's been work to get into a routine, but totally worth it. I'm only giving a bad review because of the receptionist, she makes me want to not come here at all! Despite the salon doing a great job on their clients, the first interaction you have with the receptionist might make you want to turn the other way and go somewhere else. Every time I've tried to book an appointment she's rude every time. I understand people might have bad days but, it's every time that you speak with her that she'll be condescending and make you feel dumb. Also when you ask her a question sometimes you'll just get SILENCE, I'm talking NO RESPONSE. Anyways I'm sure I'm not the only one so I wanted to speak up about it. I made an appointment for 5 pm and the receptionist told me that the latest would be 3 pm since I was going lighter (it stakes 3 hours)...I agreed and left work early. When I got to the salon the stylist told me that she had another client and to come back in one hour. She said that the computer had me for a regular color....When I told her that I had left work early and that the receptionist asked me about going light due to the time, the stylist agreed to do my hair and the other girls hair. I left the salon a 8!...on top of that I was not really satisfied with the color. I did not really want to continue complaining about the differences from my hair to the pic because it was late and she seemed bothered.The style has a gradual change, not just 2 colorsThe first time I came here they did a great job, not this time. I was looking for a new hairstylist, ever since the pandemic started I was in need of a new hair salon. I've try two other salons since finding this gem. I would give them a try but no luck finding what I was looking for. I had a vision for my hair and I would get something similar but not what I was looking for, so I'll be honest my experience at Salon Relini started on a bad note. Based on a lot of Yelp reviews I requested an appointment with Lupe a stylist at this Salon and it was very difficult to get one so I made arrangements at work to get into her schedule. I not once received a confirmation or courtesy reminder so I decided to call to confirm. I was told that my appointment was with Jocelyn at 1:00 but I originally was put with Lupe at noon so I let the lady know on the phone. I was not upset but definitely annoyed that it's my first time and they can't get there scheduling right but it ended up working in favor because I am 100% happy with my ending result. Jocelyn was very professional, very friendly. She carefully study the pictures I showed her and she gave me suggestions. It did took a bit of time my appointment was at 1:00 and although I was seen right away and not once did Jocelyn left me unattended the transformation took a while and didn't finish until about 6:45 but once again she gave me 100% of what I wanted so I would gladly wait another 6 hours if needed. I highly recommend her because not only is she amazing with her work but very kind and I very much appreciate that in a new stylist. I felt very comfortable and I finally found my new salon and my new hairstylist. BTW the salon is very beautiful and that for me is just a bonus. read more

It's basically therapy to me now every time I come in. It's so relaxing. I always leave with my eyebrows looking flawless which is an epic confidence boost. I had a consultation and was given a bayalage/highlights by Lupe after the Madison Reed home hair-coloring kit didn't turn out how I wanted it. She took her time and gave me the baby lights I really wanted so that they didn't overwhelm my thin hair. I'm so happy with the color and got a bomb mask to help moisturize my hair. My experience here was rather disappointing. My stylist was Stephanie -- she was friendly and responded to text messages promptly which I liked. However, I asked for dark brown color and she said I'd have to go almost black and it would fade after a few washes (not really the case). She worked on another client at the same time as me, and by the time I was ready for blow dry I heard an announcement for a third client of hers who arrived. Needless to say I didn't like how she styled my hair in a rush so I straightened it when I got home and realized how uneven it was (see photo). I won't be returning here again. read more

Lyn is my go to eyebrow lady!! Not only does she do an amazing job and takes her time with what she does but she never fails me to looking good! She is the only one that I will ever allow to touch my eyebrows! I can't express this enough of what an amazing job she does. Not to mention the amazing facials she offers as well. Scheduled an appointment last week for today at 4 PM because they had no availability last week. I gave the receptionist my phone number and my name so she booked the appointment ... I never got a confirmation text for the appointment nor reminders.. so I called today the day of the appointment at 10 AM and confirmed if my appointment was still in the system and the receptionist confirmed it was at 4 PM. I come to the appointment right on time and turns out Jocelyn was overbooked and couldn't do my hair coloring. When I spoke on the phone to book the appointment I said I wanted hair coloring. Jocelyn stated that I was booked for highlights.. I never said I wanted highlights. Point is-- I didn't get my hair done because Jocelyn was over booked and they allegedly tried calling me and spoke to a different Cindy.. but how do they make this mistake when I gave them my right phone number ?! Idk. Jocelyn said she can do my color and Brazilian a week later. Yeah that's a NO. Complete waste of my time. Not coming back. Avante Garde in a Downey is now my spot of choice again. read more
