    Garlic Rolls (12)

Palm City location. Well, at first the garlic rolls looked amazing. The taste was a different story. It was if the knots were swimming in fake butter or margarine. Not for us.

Penne Ala vodka was the main event for us, but the pepperoni side of our pizza was a close runner up. Me being a plain cheese kinda of girl it wasn't bad, but it was about average for how pizza goes. The deal on the Large pie was pretty great, I think it's a large pie for price of a small on Mondays & Tuesdays. Initially thought we could dine in for service, but it's more of a hole in the wall kind of joint. There is seating available outside and a couple of chairs inside for quick service. Staff were friendly and helpful, and incredibly patient with us as we decided what we were hungry for! Thank you, and happy eats!!

I've literally run past Downtown Benny's (when I could run, different story) many times and have been very curious. I'm no stranger to Brooklyn pizza and kind of kept Downtown Benny's in a list I'd like to try. Yesterday was that day. This review is during COVID-19. I and SCW reviewed the menu and made our decisions. Standard test of good pizza is for us Margarita and plain cheese. We ordered both for pick up. The shop itself reminds me of Brooklyn eateries. Small but packed with needed items. However Benny's is spotless unlike so many of my experiences with actual Brooklyn restaurants. Huge plus. Staff wore masks and I could tell they were doing a decent volume of business. Brought the pizza home (without eating it in the car.....go me) and unveiled it for SCW. Hence the pictures. Then after daubing grease off a few slices (not a judgement just a calorie reduction effort) we had our first bites. OMG delicious. The cheese pizza is flavorful and not salty like most pizza in the area. The margarita pizza was outstanding. Fresh bits of garlic in the sauce were a great surprise. I will certainly be back. Do yourself a favor and enjoy some great pizza.

This review is for the Palm City location of Downtown Benny's Pizza. The smell in the neighborhood is amazing and we were so excited to try the pizza. We went into the ice-cream shop by mistake but quickly realized it was a few shops down. There are plenty of tables outside and for a good reason...there are only two booths inside and it's cramped. Upon arrival we were greeted by the 3 adults preparing the food and pizza. You can see the kitchen through glass partitions so it's kind of nice. The pizza maker, Vinny was quite the character. He has a bit of a potty mouth so hold your kids ears. (nothing terrible but swear words are a spewing) We decided on a gorgonzola salad with balsamic dressing and a pepperoni pizza. The salad was fresh and colorful and actually quite delicious even though we had to ask for another plate to share it. We were served some garlic knots too, but they were pretty buttery and we knew we'd be eating a lot of bread (pizza) so we didn't eat them. The pizza arrived pretty quickly and it looked and smelled delicious. We let it cool for a few minutes then we dug in. The bottom of the pizza was quite charred but still edible and the toppings were adequate. The pizza is very very thin and looks great. All in all the pizza wasn't bad but wasn't good enough for me to want to rush back and spend nearly $50 for. I will say that we brought the leftovers home and they heated up rather well on a pizza stone. We added some Mikes hot honey and parmesan cheese and it was pretty good.T he drink selection is in a reach in cooler and there are pepsi products and Dasani water which is my least favorite. I don't think I'd rush back to Benny's simply because it lacked real pizza flavor. Side note: As the adult women were ringing up the register, cleaning up a table and serving take out items we notice that one of them picked up 2 slices of pizza in her bare hands and hand carried them over to the pizza guy without any gloves or utensils. It was for someone's order, not themselves. That was a huge turn off.

Looks like burnt dust. Prolly burnt corn meal or they just don't clean the oven. Pics don't lie. Every time I order its like this.

I have tried this place a few times. Its average at best as far as flavor. However they don't clean their ovens, or they put corn meal on the bottom of the pizza and let it burn. Please see pics. ( disgusting) So I gave up on them. Flavor is not there anyway. Fantinis is absolutely the best try them.

Many blame the water as a reason why good pizza can't be made in FL. Well the Myth has been busted by Downtown Benny's Pizza ! Walking in for the first time my wife and I were quickly greeted by the friendly staff and taken back by the aroma of the pizza aroma in the air. After heading back to our hotel and trying the pizza first time, my wife and I barely said a word to one another. We were in disbelief to have stumbled across this hidden Gem! We went again this past weekend and everything about the pizza was just good as the first time!. If it wasn't for the tiny hotel fridge, I would have ordered a 2nd Pie to bring with me back to Broward County!

We went two days in a row during our weekend stay in town!…read moreAmbiance (5/5): Plenty of seating indoors and some outdoor as well. Classic diner set up and ability to onlook where the wait staff prepare the finishing touches to the dishes. Service (5/5): The service for this joint is very much which made my experience. The wait staff women were a delight-- sweet, friendly, and eager to help! They provided updates, refreshed our beverages, sincere when an error was made, and provided recommendations too. Food (5/5): There is so much on the menu to try! Huge portions for an affordable rate. Don't miss out on their freshly baked goods. We loved the cinnamon bun over the coffee cake but both were very good and served warm. The pulled pork benedict special was very tender and had loads of flavor. I enjoyed the corned beef but liked the benedict more. The second day, we enjoyed omelet and brioche bun French toast.

The only issue is the traffic noise, which is considerable. The inside restaurant area is your typical breakfast restaurant with booths and tables. The outside dining area features several tables on the sidewalk with that side view of the ocean and a frontal view of all that previously mentioned traffic. For my dining experience I chose the outside. The Service: My server did a great job taking my order, making sure my drinks were replenished and actually getting my somewhat unusual hot tea with steamed milk and honey correct on the first try! The Food: Besides the traffic, here's where the restaurant falls on its sword. I ordered corned beef hash topped with poached eggs a side of "crispy" home fries and buttered sour dough toast. The Good: The highlight of the meal was the "homemade" corned beef hash. I'm always hesitant to order "homemade" corn beef hash because it's often full of items it really doesn't need. However, this corned beef hash was absolutely excellent and it was clear that it was really "homemade". The sour bread toast was also done properly and was amply buttered instead of what you get at so many places which provide a dash of butter, brushed on by a butter brush. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. The Bad: My poached eggs were overdone featuring not a hint of runny yolks and those "crispy" home fries that I made a point of asking for, were about as far away from crisp as you could imagine. In fact they were probably the most mushy home fries I've ever had. The Price: I must say, the price was not bad but, I'd prefer to pay a bit more and get a better breakfast anytime!

My husband ordered a Florida Man double IPA and I ordered the House Pinot Noir! I really enjoyed the medium bodied Pinot; for a House wine it was very good! And the price for happy hour I thought were excellent! Beer was five dollars and my Pinot Noir was only seven and a nice pour! My husband ordered the grilled Caesar salad, which was on happy hour so it was 30% off. And I happen to have a 20% off coupon that was handed to me during a jammin in Jensen. They let us use it on anything that wasn't already discounted for happy hour which we were appreciative of. I ordered the beet salad which did not disappoint beautifully, roasted golden beets, paired with Barada and candied pecans and arugula.! it was a good size salad and I ended up bringing some home! It was delicious! We then split the Mattie burger, which is a double Waygu Patty with two kinds of cheese and an onion, jam and homemade pickles, and a beautifully toasted sesame seed bun! It comes normally with duck fat fries, but we were trying to be more health conscience so they substituted roasted carrots with broccolini and garlic, which were absolutely perfect! Because it was a double patty it was more than enough to share! And they took the 20% off of that as well with my coupon! We both had one more drink! And ended up bringing leftovers home even though everything was so good. We were so full. My only recommendations would possibly be to have a single patty burger for a cheaper price point on the menu. Otherwise, we were very pleased. Looking forward to going back again.!

The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and everything came out quickly. I know this place has gotten some mixed reviews, but our experience was fantastic. It is definitely a little pricier than some other spots in the area, but in my opinion, it's worth it. Between the food, drinks, service, live music, and overall atmosphere, it felt like a full night out, not just a quick dinner. There also seems to be some confusion about whether they're still open, but they absolutely are, and based on our visit, they're definitely worth checking out. It's one of the better spots in Jensen Beach. A special shoutout to Nicole, the manager, and Stephanie, the bartender, who were both welcoming and attentive all evening. Our server was wonderful too, and I'm kicking myself for forgetting her name! If you've been on the fence about trying Circa 69, I'd encourage you to give it a shot and decide for yourself. We saw a lot of great reviews for Sauder's Landing…read more First downside is you are required to hand over your driver's license to a security guard to enter the island. He had it for a while, God only knows what data base I'm now part of, but hey, great reviews, let's go. The guard gave my license back as well as a parking permit. Asked about the restaurant, he said drive to the stop sign and turn left. There's a row of shops and a Sauders sign. Did get a tiny bit confusing...none of the storefronts was Sauders. There was a dingy looking alley opening...found them. Walking down this dingy alley (there were three old window a/c units running up high, I mean old, tired, dirty and all three are dripping water into buckets below them on the concrete). We get to a tired residential screen door and that is the entrance. We were greeted right away. Said two for dinner. The hostess asked if we had reservations...we said no. We asked to sit inside. This is not the restaurants fault, but the marina is under construction, there are no docks or boats outside the windows, just rebar and dirt, however the windows and screens were dirty. There are dive bars and old restaurants with charm, Sauders is neither. Inside it just looks very tired and extremely dated You know how Restaurant Impossible or Bar Rescue showes usually start, with John Tapper and Robert Irving having a lot to say. They would have a lot to say at Sauder's. Carolyn, our server, lived up to the reviews that mention her. She was prompt, knew all the specials and did a good job throughout our meal. We ordered some Calemari. The batter was falling off, so if you tried to pick up a piece, you basically had a piece of squid. The marinara sauce was hot and had a good flavor. We had the shrimp linguine Alfredo. There were plenty of shrimp. Tha pasta was spaghetti, not linguine, but cooked properly. Could have had a little more sauce but tasted OK. The meal came with a salad. Everything was fresh, cold and crisp. Carolyn informed us the thousand island was made at the restaurant and it was OK. Summary...the food was ok, the dining room was tired, oh yeah, the rest rooms were behind doors rusting under their paint in that dingy alley and my wife said the one she went into was not nice. I honestly don't know how you could give this a 4 or 5 rating. If I knew what we were going to experience, I'd never give my driver's license to that guard and we would find another of the many seafood places in town. Sorry Sauder's, you need to make an investment in your business.
