Ask the Community - Downtown Cinemas

It looks like they know longer serve actual meals since they changed over to downtown cinemas instead of art houz, is that right?

Hi Alexis, Our restaurant is currently closed, but our concessions stand has hot and standard concessions/foods. We currently do not serve meals in the theater. But we hope…

The movie (Avatar Fire and Ash) was visually enjoyable on their large screen and the sound was LOUD and crisp. Really appreciated that the reclining seats also each have their own swivel tray table. Our family joined the Regal Crown Club, which drastically helps cut ticket and concessions prices on Tuesdays. Ticket prices are $8/adult on Tuesdays with the membership. I couldn't believe that their small popcorn is regularly priced $12 and their large just under $15! If you have the Regal Crown Club membership (it's free to sign up) and go on Tuesdays, popcorn is 50% off regular prices. Nonetheless, this is a really solid theatre, clean with extra comfortable recliner seats, friendly service and good "Discount Tuesdays" deals with membership.

What I appreciate most: plush leather seats, plenty of legroom, a clear view, and the fact that they have concessions and a full bar. Yes a full bar! What I don't appreciate: the sky-high prices. We paid $47.98 for two adults just to get in, and food, snacks, and drinks can easily tack on another $50 unless you bring your own flask. And without fail, there's always someone in the theater who can't behave. Once it was a drunk woman yelling at the screen and her boyfriend. Another time, a pack of teenage boys determined to ruin the movie for everyone else. This time, my neighbor ate an entire large bag of chips from the opening scene to the closing credits, crunching every bite and rustling the bag nonstop. I know not every situation can be handled perfectly by staff, but people who disrupt the experience really should be escorted out. Pro tip: bring blankets because they like to run ac even in winter.

I never noticed how I can't see the bottom part of the screen in this seat that I always choose but wanted to share in case it is a problem for you. Its always so clean and the workers are so polite. Don't let the location fool you. It has potential to still providea good vibe and movie experience. This was our first time visiting a: "bigger" theater, having come from a very small town. The concession gentleman understood we were new to a big theater and he was so gracious and patient while we ordered. We wanted to check out all of the cool merch they had and he was ever so pleasant! Theater was clean and seats were fabulous! I had never been to a theater with reclining seats. Again, small town folks used to family vibe businesses. Restrooms need much attention. Sinks were stopped up and very rusty. The two "gentlemen" at the scan tickets booth were less than pleasant. Seemed very annoyed at being asked where the restrooms were. Snotty blokes. They need to be in housekeeping where they do not have contact with the public. Their attire was much too tight, left nothing to the imagination. We would visit this theater again due to the fabulous gentleman at the concession stand, the manager on duty, and the cleanliness of the theater seats."

First time seeing a movie in this theater and actually my first time stepping foot in Palace…read moreStation in many, many years. Whoa! I went to go see The Mandalorian and Grogu tonight and here is my takeaway from tonight: - The theater feels really clean and relatively new. The chair was very comfortable (no heater in the chair though) and the recline went further back than most places that I can recall. - The food service was interesting. I decided to go traditional and just get a large popcorn and a large Diet Pepsi (yea, yea I know :P). The price wasn't too bad at all for $9.75 for both. I am still unclear on how to get a refill on the drink though. I do appreciate that the servers did not disrupt the movie at all. I have gone to theaters in other cities where they would step in front of the screen at times and it was maddening. - What's up with literally over a half freaking hour of previews and ads? Holy crap. lol I'm just going to add 20-30 minutes to the start time going forward. - Popcorn was solid. Not the best, not the worst. The soda is a 32 ounce. You're really working to make that last while devouring a large bucket of popcorn. Honestly, I love those large soda machines like at South Point. - Service was a-okay. I see some people report bad service, but everyone I spoke to was nice. I was greeted with a smile when I first got up there and greeted with a smile as I left. The servers were alright. I had to wait a while for my drink after they dropped off the popcorn. The delay was so much that I had to go ask the server in our theater if it was still on its way. Luckily not a minute later I had it. I just downloaded the Regal app and I can see myself coming back here since it's like a 10-minute drive from where I live. There is a points club, etc and some pretty good promos on there if you're a movie lover like me. I will be back. 4 stars.

The bathroom is a mess. The sinks are disgusting (hairs, dirty foam, and junk by the drain) and there's a hand dryer that doesn't work and has not worked for well over a year and no one seems to care. It's not the worst. But it certainly was not what it used to be.

Between the reasonably priced tickets and the Unlimited Movie Plan, it's definitely worth it. I like that, whether you buy your ticket at the theater or purchase it online, your ticket is scanned right at the entrance instead of inside near the concession stand. The reclining seats are comfortable and well maintained, not all torn up. The theater wasn't overcrowded, the sound was great, and the laser projection and 3D viewing options made for an enjoyable experience. They also offer 20% off tickets before 4 PM, which is a nice bonus. Like any theater, the food is pricey. However, I love that you can get unlimited popcorn and soda. That's definitely a perk! Overall, it was a great experience. Happy Yelping!

Took my kids to this theater yesterday and for the most part it was okay…read more Staff was friendly enough, checking in was simple and the movie experience was fine. Unfortunately the popcorn seemed stale. The family restroom smelled like stale urine. The theater itself was pretty hot. The cupholders had sticky residue on them and there was a lot of trash stuffed under the seats. Another thing that was kind of odd was there was no signage above the door showing what movie was being played. Fortunately for me I attended with children who don't really care about any of that stuff but for $100 on tickets and snacks I think we will visit another theater next time

My 2nd suggestion is not to allow anyone in the theater wearing PAJAMAS. I guarantee they are always the ones on their phones & talking throughout the movies. My last suggestion is to have more then 1 dedicated A-list register open during peak times. The staff you have as of 5/22/26 are pretty friendly. Especially the ones selling & accepting the tickets.

I don't typically leave negative reviews, but my experience at this AMC theater was disappointing…read morefrom start to finish. Upon arriving, we stopped for popcorn and drinks. One of the first things we noticed was the condition of the ice machines mounted on top of the Freestyle soda dispensers. They appeared to be held together with exposed screws and black duct tape, which created a very poor first impression and looked unprofessional. The popcorn was served hot and fresh, but unfortunately it had an unpleasant taste. They didn't offer traditional kettle corn, so my friend tried the caramel-style popcorn instead. Unfortunately, neither of us felt well afterward. The restrooms were by far the worst part of the experience. The floors around the urinals were covered with urine, making it nearly impossible to use the restroom without stepping in it. It was unsanitary and clearly needed immediate attention. The theater itself feels dated and in need of renovation. There were shipping boxes sitting in the hallways, giving the lobby an unfinished, cluttered appearance. Another frustrating issue was the lack of movie identification outside each auditorium. While each theater door was numbered, there were no digital displays or marquees indicating which movie was playing inside. I actually had to ask an employee where my movie was showing. Even the staff member had to pull out a printed sheet and study it for a while before he could tell me which auditorium to go to. The seats were loose, wobbly, and not particularly comfortable. While the auditorium itself appeared reasonably clean, the overall condition of the facility felt tired and neglected. I usually visit Cinemark theaters and have consistently had great experiences there. Since this movie was only showing at AMC, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, this location did not meet the standard I expect from a national theater chain. I sincerely hope management invests in improving the maintenance, cleanliness, and overall guest experience because this theater has the potential to be much better.
