This is the best pizza I've had in the 4 years I've lived in SC. Closest thing you're going to get to a NY slice in the upstate. AND you can buy it by the slice! That being said there's room for improvement and here are my 2 suggestions: 1 goto an 18" pie especially for your slice pies. 2 cook your slice pies short so when you heat them up they're not over cooked. This place serves the best pizza! They do offer gluten friendly as a whole pizza. We end up doing that and splitting it because the dough is so good - even to gluten eating people. Lots of indoor dining space and a chill, laidback atmosphere. read more

Food is warm, tasty, fresh, and filling. I was greeted immediately by Gabby! Great people work here as everyone is very helpful and pleasant. This is an old building downtown and it's got plenty of room to sit by yourself or with a group. Great atmosphere inside music playing but no TV's that I saw (kind of nice actually)! UPDATE - I have had carry out multiple times since opening and it does have a bit of a wait at least 30+ min. In my mind it is very well worth it for the quality!! It is also more on the expensive side as well but again you get what you pay for which here is delicious ! read more

A more expensive cici's. We ordered takeout and I have to applaud the creative topping offerings, but the execution fell flat. Flavor was lacking and even amazing toppings put on what was essentially the taste and texture of thin cardboard is not out to impress. read more

Tried their pie today had it delivered. I was shocked!! It was very good just had a sausage and mushroom pie with extra cheese now I know it doesn't need extra cheese. Thanks to the brain of the operation to using real sausage and fresh mushrooms. The sauce was very good and a nice crisp bottom crust. This is NOT a fast food restaurant REPEAT NOT a fast food restaurant. 1st time trying this place and it was absolutely 100% worth the wait. Very busy place that just opened in the downtown burg, you will be waiting for. Good 35-40 min but you will receive in return a high quality, fresh, NY style pizza. It was incredible and def the best pizza place Spartanburg has to offer. Atmosphere was clean, employees were nice. The only downside was the constant complaints of people cause there pizza did not come out in 20 min. If you are in a hurry I would suggest ordering ahead. We had the buffalo chicken pizza and mushroom and sausage and it was incredible. Can't wait to go back read more

Ok, so technically not the absolute worst I've had, but definitely not worth going out of your way for. It really makes me mad when a place calls themselves a "New York" pizza place, and it's not even close. That might fly with the people from around here, but not a born and raised New Yorker who has eaten the best pizza money can buy all my life. The slices here are tiny and extremely thin and basically like a cracker. No bite, no chew, and definitely no love. it cost me almost $15.00 for 3 slices... THREE TINY SLICES. Do yourself a favor and go to La Taverna if you're in Spartanburg looking for pizza. You'll pay just about the same price for a whole pie, and it's MUCH better. read more

Spent my college years in the NYC Metro area and was spoiled with amazing pizza. This is very good pizza. We will be back.

To be fair, I went back for a whole pie on Saturday at 5 o'clock and the place was busy. Ordered a large pie and it took about 25 minutes, not too bad at all. The pie itself is small, compared to real ny pizza it was a medium at best. The crust was good but a little inconsistent with some edges and undercarriage being done more than others. Gonna order well done next time! The cheese or something was a little salty and the sauce was a little heavy on dried herbs. Overall I enjoyed it but wasn't blown away but will go back. We ended up getting half pepperoni and the total with two fountain drinks was around 26, total was 13 dollars per person to eat dinner, not bad at all, but wish it was a 16 inch pie and a bit thinner, more well done. I gave it a 7.4 and my son said an 8.0. So there you go, the place was clean and everyone was working very hard. I will be back, stay tuned! read more

This place deserves a 5 stars. Definitely the best pizza in town. Yes you have to wait 30 or more minutes for your pizza but again is not a fast food restaurant if you want fast pizza go to little Cesar's . The quality is good the dough is fresh not frozen. I'm definitely coming back . read more

I haven't tried it yet but I can already tell it will probably disappoint:The slices look small on the website and the oven looks like something you might find in a chain restaurant.Also $13 for 2 slices and a drink is expensive even if the slices are huge and the pizza is authentic.I'll find out tomorrow.I've been praying for a true New York style pizza joint to find Spartanburg.
