Tested the waters due to the frequent raving reviews on FB, and personally I wasn't impressed. I wish it lived up to the hype. The service was great, the facility is clean and tidy, but lacked flavor. Maybe an off day. Who knows? Would I try again? Eh. The lunch special is pretty solid. Our group of 7 visited Frankie's for dinner tonight. Driving into the parking lot, I wasn't sure if there was going to space inside for our group but they've got seating for about 40 inside. Their soda machine was down but they had cans available. I'm not sure if $2.50 for a can of soda was worth it so I opted for refillable iced tea. We ordered and food started coming out quickly. First they brought out my friends small Greek salad which was a great size and looked tasty. They brough out a little cup of their pepperoni chips for us to try, maybe unbeknownst to them that I had ordered a whole appetizer of them. They were basically baked pepperoni slices served with ranch (I enjoyed dipping them in marinara as well). My chicken parmesan sub was good. Two thinly pounded chicken breasts that had been breaded in fried. Put between two really good hoagie/grinder rolls. My only complain would be wanting more cheese and marinara. I found the sandwich to be just a touch dry without the extra sauce. Service was great. The place was busy with to go orders and our group was checked on regularly. Nice little spot. We ordered 2 pizzas' to be delivered last night. 1 pizza was a cheese pizza with pepperoni and black olives, the other pizza was a cheese pizza with onions, mushrooms and green peppers. When delivered (right on time) both pizzas were dry, hard and barely warm. They were almost tasteless. Very large disappointment - we will never order a pizza from them again. I had a craving for a meatball sub and this was the spot. 5pm on Sunday and it was not at all busy. Ten minutes after ordering, I had it in my hands. Toasted and crunchy bread, melty cheese, hot meatballs and sauce. A good portion and not too expensive. The young girls who are working the register are polite and efficient. The restaurant is clean. In town visiting a friend, it was decided that it was going to be pizza night. Eager, not having had decent pizza in a while I pleased with the result.. To start we got delivery and not being from the area I'm not exactly sure how far it is to where we are just outside of Greenville, but I think it's a decent drive. The delivery dude made good time and the pizzas were nice and hot. We got one Sausage and peppers pie and a pepperoni pie. Presentation and packing were very good, not melted cheese sliding off the slices and not too greasy. My only complaint was the peppers could've been sliced a bit better and a bit more sausage, but they still tasted very good, as did the pepperoni. My friend, his family and I made short work of the two pies. My friend says this is his favorite pizza spot in the area and can see why. With fast delivery, good packing and nice tasting pizza, I recommend. read more

Whenever I come from Georgia to visit my mother I always look forward to ordering the Charlotte from Frankie's. Tonight I ordered through their Slice app as recommended. Greenville has a ton of NY style pizza places which is odd, because I live in Columbia and we have maybe two? Eating through these places up here is hard because they all claim to have the best NY Style Pizza or the most authentic. Frankie's is good. I'll stop it there, really. You're not going to come here and get blown away by their slices, but they're solid enough to come back frequently. I've had slices all along the Southeast and even the Northeast up in Boston. This could compete right up there with those. It just wouldn't be in the top 3 or 5. It's kind of rare to see pizza places down South offer slices. My wife talked me into trying again even though I was pretty set on not returning. The driver was wearing a good mask today and wearing it correctly. This driver was practicing covid precautions and we appreciated it very much. Great pizza that taste closes to NJ pizza. If anyone from the Northeast looking for their hometown pizza, this is the closest you will get to it in taste. Only bad part is the wait time for your pizza. It gets extremely crowded on Thursday and Fridays so if you need to, you should order the pizza an hour ahead. I still at times have to wait 15-20 mins after getting there so be prepared to wait. Hopefully the owner thinks about expanding the place or moving to a bigger location and get more oven to help with the flow of people on these days. located in a small strip mall this is a rare find of pretty darn close to NY/NJ Pizza. Cost is a little more than I think they should charge BUT I still buy it on a regular basis. I've read the reviews and they are all over the place, hitting both extremes with divergent opinions. Now, I am no pizza expert, but having just spent 11 years in Upstate NY with a Sister In-Law in the city whom we visited frequently I know a thing or two about "NY Style Pizza" & the various takes on pizza within NY based on your region or Burb. So honestly I do not understand some of the prior reviews, of which some appear to be written out of spite. Regardless, from my own evaluation I have nothing negative to say about the "attitude" of the staff to include the owner who was nothing but friendly and talkative with me. Now for the food. I can not speak to any of the other menu items for I have not tried them yet. But, the pie is tasty and is thin crust NY pizza that I'm use to. Granted the slices are not as large as I'm use to, but you can still fold eat and enjoy. I would recommend the pie. It's pretty dam tasty. read more

We came here about a week ago to try and get a pizza, but since they're doing curbside only the wait was over 50 minutes for a pizza. Glad we decided to come back! We called it in and only had to wait about 5 minutes. The pizza didn't disappoint and their french garlic style cheesy bread was really good too! My sister lives in Buffalo, NY and we eat pizza there every time we go visit. This pizza was pretty up to par with authentic NY pizza in the flavor, sauce/topping ratio, plenty of cheese, and insanely large slices that you fold in half to scarf down. I have high standards for food and don't eat anywhere or everywhere when I'm hungry but this place hit the spot. Got their cheese pizza and garlic knots. Both were extremely delicious! Crust a perfect crunchy but a chewy, cheese was fresh and one of the few pizza places that doesn't churn my stomach after I consume it. Best pizza I've had since moving from the west coast.
