I was one of the first 500 people to sign up with Crunch, before it even officially opened. I was super excited since I've been to other Crunch establishments and have loved them. I started with a female trainer, Hannah, who was fabulous & pushed me to be my best. They ended up letting her go, which she had told me in advance, but then when I was called about the information, I told them the only other person I felt comfortable training with was Trevor. Trevor is intelligent, determined to help you reach your goals, & truly cares about his clients & their well being. Yet again, they dismissed Trevor without any notice because they just felt like it. So yet AGAIN, I had someone whom I built a foundation with for months, swept away from me. It disgusted me at this point because I've had my share of personal trainers and Trevor was BY FAR the best I've had. I've easily spent over $1000 in personal training here and to have it be handled by management without any consideration for the clients there who invest their time and money is extremely disrespectful. With all this being said, I have certain medical conditions which make it difficult to switch between trainers so for me to tell my entire life story to a THIRD trainer who could potentially be taken from me AGAIN, seems like a waste of time at this point. I reached out to the top person in charge of personal training, demanding a refund for the 15 sessions I haven't used yet & for my personal training to be canceled in the future. I mentioned my health issues and my frustrations & she dismissed both of those and told me a refund wasn't possible and that I signed a contract with Crunch, not Trevor. So not only am I out a lot of money, but all my progress continues to get placed on hold or started over due to their negligence and disregard for the clients. The management for personal training only cares about how much money they make & how much money they can save my firing incredible trainers. I will NEVER do personal training here again and suggest you don't either unless you want to only be considered as a money magnet for their spreadsheet calculations.

The Forest location is much smaller and doesn't have nearly the assortment and the quality of equipment is not great. For me, I like to get in a run on a treadmill while I am at the gym and this is why I ended up having to cancel my membership to Kinetix. At the Fort Ave location there are roughly 20 treadmills, and at the Forest location there are around 8. Almost none of them work correctly. The main problem is that the speed won't go past around 5.5 mph. The display goes up to 12 mph, but even if you put it on that setting, the speed of the belt is no more than a light jog. It's like it gets up to around 5 mph and just can't go any faster no matter what setting you put it on. The belts on the treadmills also tend to slip. There is one treadmill at the Forest location and one or two at Fort Ave that work correctly, but people tend to use these treadmills, so they are hard to get. I have told employees while at both locations about this issue and they said they would let the owners know, but they never got fixed. When I cancelled my membership yesterday on July 10, I had already paid my membership dues for July on the 1st. I was told that my membership was cancelled immediately, but I would also have to pay for next month's (August) fees, because "that's just how our billing company works". To me, that seems a bit unfair. I have to pay for the next 6 weeks membership dues, but I can no longer use the gym. If they would have said, we have to charge you until the end of August due to our billing system, but feel free to use the gym until then, I would have been less disappointed, but this, to me, just seems a bit scammy.

Talk to the people who work at the desk in the center of the gym to get an extra things that you may need like towels, lifting gear, or basketballs. The staff here always kept equipment clean. Every ad, the contract, their website and the signup screen all say "cancel anytime." I spoke directly with the owner in person, who confirmed I could cancel by a specific date with no $60 charge. I have a voice recording of this conversation. When that date came, there was no option to cancel online. I called the store three times -- no answer. I visited in person four times afterwards. Employees had no idea where the owner was and couldn't help me. I eventually noticed that the cancellation option only appears online after you pay the $60. Conveniently hidden until they get your money. I had to dispute the charge with my bank to get my money back. Looking at other reviews, I'm not the only one this has happened to. The gym is also not that great. Its a completely average and kind of small gym. Not worth 60 bucks at all that's why I wanted to cancel. The front desk staff were also dismissive and unhelpful throughout this entire process. I have recordings and screenshots of everything too.
