If I could give no stars for this business I would, they are the worst from day one. Initially when I talked to Maria who said she was the owner she advised me that all dresses were custom made (which not sure how if they did not take any measurements from any of my girls) and cost was $295 but once my bridesmaids ordered their dresses a guy Tony who claimed he was the owner charged them $350 on top of that he asked for all money up front in order to proceed with the orders, I argued that that was not normal business practice that he should only require a deposit and full payment before releasing the final dresses but he argued that was the way they worked. The bridesmaids did not want to stress me so after the wedding they told me how rude Tony was to them and for two of them who refused to make full payment were told to just take the dress as is and leave even without paying the balance as he got frustrated by them asking to fix the dresses that did not fit. He's response to them was if the dress zipped up then it fits even though they told him the dress was too tight and uncomfortable to move in. On the wedding day the dresses were all coming apart they were all unstitching and holes all over the dresses. With all the vendors I dealt with for my wedding Doxa Couture was the only one that had such bad service. It is sad that there is that one business that will take advantage of people. No customer service, definitely would not recommend if you are medium/small sized all they carry is small and will not let you try anything on they simply state it won't fit you. We did try some small that fit and looked great but even then the worker looked very annoyed and not willing to show us others. Am I a paying customer of theirs? -No! And here's why: 1. Formerly known as Diana's boutique, they had shitty service and DTLA dresses at 3X the price. They rebranded, and instead of improving their business operations they mock their customers and use sarcasm and snarky attitudes in lieu of people skills. 2. The store is inaccessible with limited/inconvenient parking. 3. The store is anything but couture. It's DTLA with a steeper price tag. Prom customers will get more bang for their buck buying a dress at Fashion Nova - not even joking. PS. Your business doesn't have the platform to "troll" your customers. There are a lot of wise consumers who will seek reviews and see that your business isn't worthy of their hard earned money - based on negative reviews. Horrible service!!!! I loved my dress, But started unstitching the first 30 minutes of wearing it. It was embarrassing wearing my dress at the ceremony, my sisters wedding, I was the Maid of Honor!!!! I was in Florida I couldn't go anywhere to get it fix. I messaged Doxa Couture letting them know. The only thing they responded was "sorry and if I bought it in person." What kind of service is that?!. I paid full price. I paid $385. I could of bought a cheaper price dress and probably better quality in Downtown LA. As a customer I expected better. I came back to California, went to Doxa Couture in Downey, explained and showed them my dress, the only thing she told me was "the only thing I can do is reinforce the stitching" I was being patient and trying to be understanding. I left the dress there on a Friday, she said it was going to be ready in an hour. I went back, still not ready, I was being patient she said it will be ready on Monday. I went today Tuesday and still not ready???? Her response was "the other dresses are priority because they are going to wear and get picked up" I'm a paying customer too!!! I could of wear this dress again. Took my dress back home unstitched. Very disappointed!!!!!! This place doesn't deserve not even a star!!! They could of at least fix my dress and keep the customer happy for the horrible work they did on my dress!!! read more

Grateful for these ladies! Due to the pandemic my best friend had to postpone her wedding schedule for 10/16/20. Our bridesmaids dress had been purchased nearly two years ago!!! I gained COVID weight , plus some! I of course waited last minute to re-try the dress, and of course It did not fit. After looking like crazy for someone to make major alterations, I was recommended to check them out. Parking is a bit challenging, but manageable. The next street over has plenty of street parking. My first visit was amazing! The girls greeted me and listened to my current dress problem. Carmen was kind & took the time to look at the dress. Carmen provided hope for my situation. It's also interesting that the response from the business comes in the name of Liz when the interactions discussed here were with Gaby. I was never told I needed to to leave more of a deposit in order to guarantee your business would come through. I gave what was asked, and grateful I got it back when the second time I was promised my dress would be ready to try on, it wasn't even in the store. I have the screenshots of conversations where I am asked to come in the first week of June and in fact never missed a fitting because I had not been given one after my measurements were taken. It's very sad that instead of taking responsibility for making the wrong dress you would say I gained weight or inches, which was not the case. I have worked for the chamber before and support small business. One of the reasons I would give your shop a chance. My sister and I did not try to haggle a cheaper price. We simply asked for your business to keep its word. It was written on both my nieces and my invoice. No Tax, No alterations. Liz was so helpful when i came in looking for a dress. I couldn't believe how fast we were able to find the one, because i had been to so many dress stores before i came here. I live a few hours away so when i called to request my alterations be ready a week early because i was unexpectedly in town to my surprise it was ready. I came in to pick up around closing time and Liz graciously finished altering the length for me. My dress was stunning and easy to move it. Thank you My only problem is was because of the rush the inner lining was not cut the same length as the top layer and you could see it poking out looking a little chewed up. But i just trimmed it myself to hide it under the top layer. Also parking is a tough situation here. read more

My wife and I found this place while driving looking for her dress, beautiful dresses but service was horrible. Everyone was rude and always rushed my wife in & out of any dress she tried on, almost as if we were wasting their time. We decided to purchase a dress anyways and the date we were promised didn't happen, they said it would take another week because now they were busy. We had to argue and go directly to the owner calling him multiple times in order to get the dress but still took an additional 4 days. Worst customer service ever. Total nightmare experience for a bridesmaid. I'd like to point out out the reason this store deserves at LEAST one star: All bridesmaids truly looked beautiful on wedding day. I have to brag that my girls are beautiful and made the dresses look nice. The customer service I received was a horrible experience. A complete 360 from the beginning. I will never again pay to have a decent dress made from here. Con mucho Gusto if they had great customer service. BUT SADLY THEY DON'T. My dress was not ready until 3 days before the wedding! (or at least I wasn't informed until then) I am dissapointed with their service. I was ready to give a decent rating for Gaby communicating with me and agreeing to wait for me to pick up my dress close to closing time. I left early from work by Sherman Oaks at 3:30pm and drove straight to their store. I tried my best to arrive on time we agreed on which was 6:10pm. As I arrived at their very small parking spot behind the store, Gaby was waiting for me outside her car with my dress. I was happy to arrive a few minutes than anticipated and asked to take less than 10 minutes of her time to check if they had fixed a custom dress that did not fit me from the bust area. She agreed after I begged her. I was worried AND excited to try on my dress I paid to be ready. I only had 3 DAYS BEFORE the wedding. As I was parking my car, she was at my passenger window and changed her mind about letting me in to try my dress.This then spiraled downwards to the worst experience ever...She suddenly came back as I was getting off my car. SHE THREW MY DRESS inside my car from the window and immediately started to insult me and said "Sorry I can't, trust me the dress is fine...I need to leave now because I have a husband I that's waiting for me. I don't know about you but i don't have the time for you" along with foul mouthed words. This shocked me and made me very upset and I called her out on it and told her this was very unprofessional. I completely understand it was near closing hours but, WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE WE ARE PAYING FOR? I was even willing to pay an hour of her pay. Why agree to something and completely change your attitude out of no where? I apologize I was pissed off AFTER but it was unacceptable behavior for a dress I paid more than $400. I could not believe I was unable to check my dress! In the end it still didn't fit me right and I had to take the dress elsewhere. To be fair, I mentioned this to the bride and to my mom and we were offered by Gaby's sister to take the dress back to have it fixed but to be clear - I couldn't. I had no more time left to drive so far AGAIN to fix my dress. I only had now 2 days left to have my dress fixed. Don't waste your money and time here. It was clear it was not appreciated. Shame to say I will not support this small business UNLESS they were to change their service. I wish it didn't have to end this way. I in no way appreciated the drama. They have a decent selection of gowns but way OVERPRICED. The reason for the poor rating is mainly due to crappy customer service. One of the girls there was rude at times. My daughter and her friends went to this store looking for a prom dress. Person there was not very nice and told them if they aren't buying anything they can't try on the dresses. The ladies that work here are ALL AMAZING and full of personality. Offering more than customers service. I was immediately greeted asked what I was looking for and specific questions about my event, my style, what I was comfortable with...very professional. My husband and my 2 babies where there with me and my oldest (terrible 2's) was running around driving him crazy and all the ladies where pitching in and where very graciously helping him which they didn't have to. All those small things added to my experience. We had already been to so many gown boutiques and I wasn't even allowed to touch dresses in some cases or was even given eye contact at all. I was already discouraged and headed home when I found them close to my house through yelp. ( thank gawd for yelp) Found my dress actually found 2 but couldn't take both and was offered alterations at no charge since we might need to cut the bottom a little. I will definitely be coming here again. They custom make dresses too so that's a major plus for me b/c I'm very particular about what I wear since a lot of the stuff in stores now is just too revealing and that's just not me. Found a beautiful dress but didn't buy it because Liz is pushy and try's to hustle you. She first told me the dress was $200 i said ok I'll take it. I left to buy shoes for it so I can have it altered, when I went back to buy it two days later she tried to charge me $295, she forgot she was only charging me $200 I'm upset that her costumer service turned me away from buying a dress I really liked. I didn't feel right giving her my business because of how she acts. Also you're better off going to Downtown LA found the exact same dress for $130. I drove past the store and decided to stop in. I was looking for a dress for an upcoming event. One woman helped me, and she was great. I only tried on two dresses but the first one was "the one" !! It's absolutely beautiful. I see people complaining about price, but they're handmade and good quality dresses. You'd spend just as much on a dress from Macy's. Horrible customer service! The lady who takes measurements for the dress was extremely sarcastic to my wife when my wife asked what would be the earliest she can get a dress fitted. She didn't even give us the time of day when we tried talking to her she just walked away! It is what it is the dresses are nice and I was going to buy one from her but after her attitude she lost a customer. WE'd gone to this dress shop before and dealt with the BLONDE heavy set girl, that was a total DOLL.SO when my kids senior year came we knew where to go. I gotta say i went to this store and fell in love with all the dresses ..the first time i had gone into this store and one of the girls (she was blonde & chunky)was amazing....didnt take the dress at the time cuz i didnt take my wallet but knew which one i wanted and told her i be back on monday for it got a price on how much i was paying and everything ($250)On monday i called to tell them i was swinging back for the dress and if the can wait for me at least 10 min after 6 cuz sometimes theres traffic and i was coming from far...She mentioned she was the owner and that she would have the dress with the bill ready for me that it would be $350 my total...i explained that i had been there on Sat and that it was $250...she replied the dress is originally $300 and tax was included making it $350 i explained so why did i get a different price?she answered "i dont know she was trying to make her comission i guess u should of tooken the dress then"...i was like thank u but no thank you as it was i wad having a hard convincing myself to buy it....but at the end i see why things happen for a reason i ended up in Huntington Park and got the same one for $75bucks ....im a nurse and i know for a fact that customer service takes u a long way....if i could i would post a pic of the dress so u can see its the same dress all they do is put there tag on it... read more

She came out moments later with a very disappointed expression on her face.
