The place was fairly empty at five on a Saturday, still took nearly thirty minutes for the food to come out. I will give it grace considering this place is a "luxury" restaurant but thirty minutes for burgers is a bit ridiculous. I ordered the smash burger and man, for a burger with two patties it was very shabby. The meat was good but the burger was very small and the kitchen forgot my bacon. Alas, they gave me a huge plate of bacon, so I can overlook that. The aspect of this place that irks me the most is the potato chips instead of fries, as I cannot understand why more and more establishments are gravitating towards this option. All food aside, the place has a nice ambiance, yet the table I sat at was very awkward and left little space for our plates. Went here before a concert in Red Bank with two other people. The food was hit or miss: we had deviled eggs and pretzel sticks for starters. The deviled eggs were terrible - there was no firmness to the yolk filling and it was runny. The eggs were sitting in a literal pool of olive oil and some mayo like dressing looking generally unappealing. They were also listed as having jalapeño in them but i could taste no heat. The pretzel sticks were good but the cheese dip was terrible. It was basically cheeze-wiz, chunky and somewhat cool instead of warm (a skin formed on top when it was brought out). On to the entrees, my buffalo wings were rubbery on the outside, not crispy and there was no heat whatsoever to the sauce. I also ordered "crispy cauliflower" which was not crispy in the least, somewhat cold, and the flavor was just off-putting. Two bites and left the rest. One of the two other people had a. hamburger that was supposed to be cooked medium but was overcooked and a fairly solid affair with absolutely no juice left. It wasn't burnt but it was dry. The other person had tacos which were about all that was positive for the food. As far as the ambiance - nice looking place - spacious, you can hear each other talk, the bar is nice. The tables were sticky and there was a smell that was unpleasant, like a dirty carpet that needs a good cleaning yet there was no carpeting there. Dirty sock smell was the best way to describe it. The waiter brought dessert (ice cream - that was good) but never brought spoons - we flagged down a busboy and he brought us some spoons. The waiter was generally attentive however, polite, and kept the water glasses filled. Usually when leaving a place, the hostess will say thanks/good-night, but three people there just ignored us. Don't skimp on the little things! They also charge a 2.5% additional fee if you don't pay cash. At least it is clearly stated. Would not go back - there's a lot of other options in Red Bank to try. read more

It was very good, but portion was small. For mains I had the fish and chips and my father had a burger. Both were excellent. The fish and chips came with a red pepper aioli instead of tartar sauce and this was amazing paired with the fish. Our server was very attentive and great overall. I deduct one star because originally I wanted the mac and cheese with crabmeat added, but upon inquiring I found out that it was not fresh crab. I was disappointed but got over it quickly.
