I've been a biker all my adult life and lived in many places. Bike Works Doylestown is truly the best in my book. I've gone there for purchases like new road like cleat shoes, maintenance, and to meet my 'N +1" quota when I bought a new hybrid bike there to match my changing needs as I move into senior status. I got great advice on choosing the bike and excellent support. It's also fun dealing with staff who are enthusiastic about all forms of biking. I highly recommend this bike shop. read more

As a first time bicycle buyers my wife and I put a deposit on two bicycles back on March 2020 at Doylestown BikeWorks Bicycle Shop. It's not that we were told the bikes will be ready in December and neither are still here as of 4/2021 (I understand, it's shortage due to Covid), it's not that each of our bikes has gone up twice 20% and may still go up more when they finally get here (even though we were never told when putting a deposit on the bikes nor physically called upon and told of the two price hikes when they occurred), it's being told that, and I quote here, "you can have your $3,000 deposit back, there's a laundry list of people that I have that want and will buy your bikes"!This was said twice on two separate occasions to both my wife and myself. Must be a lingo the one manager likes to throw around. What manager would say that to two new clients after knowingly that they have been patiently waiting over a year for the bikes to come? It's basically saying, I don't care about your $3,000 deposit commitment, I don't care about your patience of waiting over a year and still not knowing when your bikes will arrive and I don't care that you are choosing us to do business with as first time bicycle buyers. it's basically saying, we have people lined up that will take your place, you are just a number on a "laundry list" to us. We really wanted to have a long lasting relationship with this LBS. Got my full deposit refunded to me, will rather wait a few years to get the bikes we want from another bike shop than few month with this shop. I will never return to them for anything, ever. Looks like their over inflated egos have overgrown good old fashioned customer care, loyalty, resolution and respect. You don't treat a client like there's a laundry list to replace you, you treat your client as if he/she is the only one on that list. Period. The manager never said a simple sentence for customer resolution/retention; "What can I do to fix this and keep you as our new clients". Got my custom road bike here. Was a long process but the final result was worth the wait - the best bike I have ever rode or owned. Great to have a local independent bike shop in Doylestown. The team there is very knowledgeable and happy to help. I see bikers of all types going in and out whenever I stop in, and the place has a great local friendly vibe to it. It's also worth noting their strong support of local events - they are an ingrained part of the community at this point. Not happy at all!!! Had a terrible experience in the Bike Works in town. I'm not sure if this is a big chain, but they were so rude, it can not be a small business. If so, I would not expect them to be business for very long. The prices were exorbitant and the service was terrible. There are 3 other shops in town and any one of the three are better. This was my first time in here and I thought let me give this place a shot when looking for a new helmet and a new chain. I also wanted to get a quick tune-up. The guy that helped me had dark hair and sideburns, i think he was a manger or something(which makes it even worse), but he degraded me for being a woman and treated me as a second class citizen and even ask if my husband was around so he could show him something on the bike. My husband passed away and i have been on my own for some time. Like i need to ask permission to spend a certain amount of money? Maybe in the stone ages he lives in, but i will not stand for this and i would not do business with this company if they were the ONLY shop in town!!! read more

Hands down the best shop on the planet! From the moment i stepped foot in the door i felt like i had known the two gentleman, behind the counter, my whole life! They treated me like i was an old friend they hadnt seen in a long time. While shopping i was even offered free food and coffee. This place has it all, even a spin studio dowstairs! Really helpful! Had some custom length spokes cut for me a few weeks ago. Reasonable pricing, which is great. They have a great selection and really nice employees. Only had to wait about 20 mins, which is unreal for just about any bike shop. (I don't think it's fair or reasonable to have your bike fixed or serviced In less than an hour) read more

I had my bike in for a standard tune up and adjustment after about a year of my cyclocross bike sitting unloved. I knew I was in the right place because the shop was super clean. I was easily convinced to get some extra work done that was long overdue almost doubling the cost but it was well worth it. I just hoped on the bike and it feels as it did right out of the box. Even though I am in Philly now I will haul my bike up there every time for future upgrades and such. Good shops are hard to find read more

I just completed the 335 mile GAP trail from Pittsburgh to DC. Paul did a fantastic job custom fitting my bike for the ride. I'd always thought hey a bike is just a bike , but after the fitting I felt one with the bike and the ride was made achievable by the fine work Paul did for me. After having one repair done here, I highly recommend this shop. They are service and customer oriented. The repair job I gave them was anything but routine, and even required fabricating a part for a rare and unsupported model. They not only did it well, they did it fast. I am not sure where the low star reviews are coming from. This place is accomodating to all levels of cyclist. I started 2 years ago and they got me rolling and answered my 100 questions and tuned my bike in a short period of time. I also brought my 8 year old daughter here to get her first 24 inch bike. These guys are knowledgable at all levels and generally just love biking and love helping. Super friendly crew there. read more
