    Me dieron un pan nacido

me molesta que en varias ocasiones se equivocan en mi orden y no hacen nada para solucionarlo. Y este día yo compré esto que cuesta casi 13$ y me dieron un pan nacido y un queso tan viejo

TBH... I'm in between a 2.5 and 3 stars on this one. This is a really unique place. First of all, it's probably the biggest pupuseria I've ever been in. I don't think I would describe it as a hole in the wall by any means. The branding that is done for the restaurant is really on point. I'm like... is this a chain? Every one of the waiters and kitchen staff is wearing matching branded shirts. Everything seems really put together and clean. The service was really quick and efficient. The issue for me unfortunately was the food. The pupusas tasted... just not so spectacular. At the time, I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was... but after going to La Pupuseria Familiar in Wheaton the next day; that's really when I could really just juxtapose the pupusas and come to the conclusion that the one's at Doña Cecy's are just not as top notch as I'd hope they were. The Pastelles were pretty good and definitely the best thing I had that night. The tamale was... in addition to being not so appetizing looking... not the best tamale I've ever had. I'm not sure if it's the quality of ingredients that they're using or if it's just the technique that is not terribly refined, but I've had a good deal of pupusas in my life, and these unfortunately paled in comparison. I really do hope they improve and I'd be willing to give them a second change in the future. Everyone was very nice and the restaurant is very comfortable. *Slight suggestion too: Serving pupusas in baskets make them difficult to cut and eat. I'd definitely opt for paper plates.

Zero . I called to try to solve the issue and the asked me to drive from Gaithersburg to return the burned plate they sold me to make me a new one . smh I wont be wasting my time and money on this place again .

Great spot! Friendly service. Yummy pupusas w/typical and special pupusas fillings. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful pupusas! Variety of flavors. Everything on the menu is on point! Great place for families. Their churasco (grilled meats) platter and chicken platter give an abundance of meat. Soups are delicious and have ox tail & mondongo soups (weekends only). Grubhub delivery is available but best to call in for pick up if you're in the area, since delivery fee is $5.99 thru Grubhub app.

My husband and I decided to try this place for the first time. From the outside, it looks small but when you go inside it's spacious. The kitchen is open you can watch them making pupusas. They have sanitizers and signs of social distancing. They are open for dine-in but we ordered to go. They have a contactless menu on each table. When I scanned the menu they had lots of options. But when we got to the cashier, she said they don't have tacos. So we only ordered two different kinds of pupusas the (2) Chicharron, Queso, Frijoles, and (2) Queso con Camaron. Both pupusas were okay nothing special about it. They make the pupusas big and thick but they put less meat. You can taste the cheese and beans more than meat. The cabbage was so good though. It was fresh and tasty. They probably have an additional homemade sauce that they mix to it. The cabbage brings out the taste of the pupusas.

Ironically none of us ordered the namesake pupusas. So this review might have already might let you down there. The restaurant, very clean and spacious, is located in the Twinbrook plaza right next to Dunkin Donuts right before the Korean Grocer Lotte Market. As another reviewer mentions, the food is good but just missing something. I feel like it's the seasoning maybe even a dash more salt would have been welcome which is usually the opposite at most restaurants. The grilled chicken I had was very nicely grilled and came with yellow rice and a salad with side option of (bottled) ranch dressing. At this price point I am not expecting more, just that for anyone familiar in the Montgomery County area there are many other places to choose from that have more flavor. I've had Horchata from my favorite local taco truck and their horchata in comparison was just like drinking oatmeal milk. I threw mine mostly away. It might be powdered but seemed watery and had no hint cinnamon at all. The best part of the experience was sadly the service. Our waitress was super courteous and very attentive.

I've been coming here for years, and it's one of those places that never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is lively, and you always know you're going to leave happy. I'm originally from Honduras, and one of our staple dishes... arguably THE staple dish... is the baleada. A fresh flour tortilla filled with refried beans, cheese, and crema, with the option to add extras like eggs, avocado, or different meats. I knew this had to be where Kyler experienced his very first baleada. To say it was a success would be an understatement. Kyler isn't the most adventurous eater, so getting his stamp of approval is a pretty big deal. He's officially a fan for life! We were there with my mom, and all three of us ordered some variation of a baleada along with pupusas to share. I also had to introduce Kyler to our version of horchata, which is different from the Mexican horchata he was used to. As an added bonus, we happened to visit during the World Cup, and the energy in the restaurant made the experience even more fun. Between the familiar flavors, sharing a piece of my culture with someone I love, and the consistently great food, this meal ended up being one of the highlights of our trip back to Maryland. If you've never had a baleada before, let La Casita be your introduction. You won't regret it.

Unfortunately, my recent experiences at La Brasa have been very disappointing. The biggest issue has been the customer service. The person answering the phone has been consistently rude, has taken our orders incorrectly multiple times, and instead of trying to resolve mistakes professionally, argues with customers. That is simply not the level of respect or professionalism I expect from a business that has been part of the community for so many years. I have also noticed that the food quality has declined compared to what it used to be. It's disappointing because this restaurant once had an excellent reputation. I sincerely hope management addresses these concerns by improving customer service, training staff to communicate respectfully, and restoring the quality that made so many people loyal customers. I'd be happy to update my review if I see meaningful improvements.

The portion sized was so generous I could only eat one. The beans were well seasoned, and the cheese was not to overwhelming. The main course though? Oh boy! The Special Quesadilla with chicken was phenomenal! The chicken actually had flavor which was a pleasant surprise compared to other restaurants that will remain nameless. The ratio of meat to cheese was just right, and even with having the large amount of chicken, it did not make for a messy eat. But what brought it all together was the amazing service. My party had arrive 10 minutes before me, and the waitress was there to welcome me right away. My order was taken almost immediately. And my appetizer came out at the same time as everybody else's. I ordered three chicken and cheese pupusas, and they were a great size. I was nearly full after the first two. The flavor was on point. My apologies for my photo because I was already halfway through my third pupusa before I remembered to snap a picture. I also tried the corn tamale, which my wife and I enjoyed a lot. On top of that, I ordered a steak taco, which unfortunately didn't make it into a picture either because I ate it too fast. What stood out to me was the "shell." Instead of the usual flour or corn tortilla, it uses the same masa dough as the pupusa, and I really enjoyed that difference. We finished our meal with the nuegados en miel dulce, something I had never tried before. I was glad I did because it was delicious and a great way to end the meal. Overall, the food and experience were excellent. If you are like me and rely on Yelp reviews to decide where to eat, I highly recommend giving La Casita Pupuseria & Market a visit.
