Finally tried this place after passing it many many times on a sunny afternoon where I did an oil change nearby. Had some time to kill so I walked in this place for a late afternoon lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The staff greeted me upon arrival and immediately served me some water. I ordered the spicy peppercorn pork soup dumplings and the cucumber salad . Both were phenomenal! The crunchiness and savoriness of the salad with bomb asf dressing & the savory and (slightly ) spicy pork dumplings were flavorful. I only wish they out more broth in those dumplings ! I'll definitely be back

Stopped by my third Yu Noodles location and loved the inside space this place occupies. The parking lot is oddly laid out but the inside makes up for the outside and it's not quite worn off prior restaurant name. We came for an early dinner on a Saturday and walked right in and were seated. The space is modern and clean. My husband and I ordered: S7 spicy oil wonton- 10 pieces, some solid spice with peanuts on top. One of my favorite starters. S1 scallion pancakes- so flaky and crisp! A little oily but sooo delicious. A3 Buffalo wing & hot sauce- 6 pieces, I think this is fried in chili oil, leaves a nice burn in my mouth and lips. The breading is so tasty. N4 Sichuan beef noodles soup- my favorite dish at Yu Noodles! The beef so so tender and flavorful, the broth has delicate spice notes in addition to its rich beefy flavor. I don't find the spice overpowering and love that it comes with a few pieces of bok choy. Pizza soup dumplings- I've never noticed this on their menu, and my husband was daring enough to want to try it. It really did taste like pizza! The meet in a tomato broth, I thought it was good though I wouldn't personally get it again. I can't wait to come back for more of my favorites like soup dumplings and golden cabbage!

We happened to found this place while waiting for our Tesla and decided to see if it's a good noodle place. The people were very nice and welcoming. It's clean and opened layout. They seat you and serve you quickly. Not much of a wait time. We tried their soup dumplings and few other noodles and they were just amazing! Soup dumplings are very juicy. Noodle broth was flavored perfectly. They were truly authentic. All the food was incredible so we went back twice more. 100% recommend to go by and eat!

We went for lunch, and it wasn't too busy. Service was super fast. I tried the veggie dumplings and the tofu. They were good. There aren't many vegetarian options, so my choices were limited. The ambiance isn't anything special, but it's nice enough. It's not making it into my rotation, but I'd still say it's worth a stop in.

Delicious noodles, dumplings, and pickled cucumbers. Really attentive service! They even gave us a stuffed animal to take home! We will be back!!

Nice spacious dinning room and decorated nicely. An open kitchen is near the back and your food cones out quickly. Friendly service was helpful too. A solid place for attic Chinese food.

It was early but during a work week and it was Chinese New Year's. Server was attentive and helpful. Food looked great and tasted lovely. Looking outside doesn't do inside justice. I just wish they had Rice dumplings. Since I can't eat wheat. But will come again.

This place was delicious! The service was super quick and it was busy too. Our first plate came out within 5 minutes and it was super yummy. Everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their food too. The restaurant was very clean and service was great. I would recommend this place for dumplings and noodles.

I had been going to the yu noodles Cafe for a while and cannot believe i never came here! The mala xiaolongbao were so flavorful with a subtle mala hint. The fried chicken was so crispy and perfectly seasoned. Not only was the food amazing, but the staff was so attentive and friendly. Will definitely be coming back with more people!

I almost don't want to write this review because Yu Noodles is one of those hidden gems I selfishly want to keep to myself. They have two locations, one near the courthouse in Rockville and the other off Gude Drive. This review is for the Gude Drive location. The staff is always friendly, the space is clean and well decorated, and the food? Absolutely incredible. I've worked my way through the entire menu, and I can honestly say I haven't had a single dish I didn't like. Special shoutout to their delicious freshly made soy milk (hot or cold), it's out of the world and must try if you've never had it. If you're craving authentic, satisfying noodles and more, Yu Noodles is a solid 10/10.

The texture is exactly what you want from fresh noodles: bouncy, chewy, and tender without ever getting mushy, with that satisfying bite you can only get from noodles pulled to order. The broth and seasoning elevated the bowl even more. The soup is rich and deeply flavorful without being heavy, and the aromatics and chili oil add layers of warmth and complexity instead of just heat. Every strand of noodle soaks up the broth, so you get a perfect balance of noodle, spice, and savory depth in every mouthful. Portions are generous and priced very fairly for the quality, and you can tell real craft goes into the noodle-making technique. Watching them work the dough and pull the noodles in the open kitchen adds to the experience and really drives home that this is the real deal. Service was friendly and efficient, and my food came out hot and fresh in just a few minutes, even during a busy period. The dining room is casual and comfortable, making it an easy spot for a quick solo meal or a relaxed dinner with friends. If you love authentic hand-pulled noodles or just want a seriously satisfying, comforting bowl in Gaithersburg, Chopin Noodle House needs to be on your list. I'll absolutely be back to work my way through more of the noodle dishes, but the traditional hand-pulled noodles are already a must-order for me.

Ordered the beef combo knife slice noodle soup, pork soup dumplings, pork wontons with homemade spicy sauce, and the pan fried pork buns. The pan fried pork buns were the clear MVP here, perfectly crispy on the outside with that satisfying crunch, but soft and fluffy inside. Super filling too, which is always a win in my book. The beef noodle soup was solid comfort food with good portions, and the dumplings hit the spot. Only minor thing - I wished the "spicy sauce" had more kick to it. Could've used some extra heat, but that's me being picky. For the price and portion sizes, this place delivers (pun intended). You're getting a solid amount of food that actually tastes good. Would definitely order again, and those pork buns are going to be a repeat item for sure.

Was feeling hangry because I had planned on stopping at Hard Times for a bowl of chili -and found out they were closed on Mondays. So, pretty much pulled a name out of a hat and would up at Chuan Tian Xia because, well, Szechuan cooking uses chiles, no? Yesssss! I ordered Signature Dumplings and a bowl of Beijing-style Beijing-style Zhajiang Noodles. The dumplings were outstanding: a mix of shrimp, pork, and chive that were plump, juicy, fragrant with the herbaceous flavor of chives. The accompanying sauce was not too sweet, not too hot, just right as a complement to the dumplings. Yowza. I was a happy camper... ...and then I dug into my noodles. Double yowza! Thick wheat noodles topped with a rich sauce made from (I think) fermented soybean paste and braised pork belly, garnished with cucumbers. The portion was way to big for me to eat after my flight, but I really, really enjoyed it (and the remaining dumplings) for lunch today. Did I say yowza? I'm an adventurous eater so the menu's less Americanized items were what I would have ordered given more time (like Maoxuewang: can you say "pig's tongue, spam, pork intestine, and beef tripe"? Protein is protein, baby!). Just means I need to come back, and I will, as quickly as I can.

I have kept this place in the back of my mind, with fond memories, however, have not visited in some years due to multiple moves around the country. Recently, my friend was organizing a casual gathering for our friend group, and asked ChatGPT if there were any good recommendations for food in the area that was affordable and delicious, and A&J came up as a top choice. So I came back to A&J after almost 10 years, and the food was just as good as I remembered. The decor remained simple and unchanged, but this is very typical of Asian restaurants. The menu was large, and it's easy to order by circling items you want on the paper menu. We had a mix of noodle soup bowls (so many different flavors and styles) and appetizers, and everything we tried was delicious. Our bill came out to less than $25 per person with tip. I could imagine more pretentious Chinese restaurants downtown upcharging a lot more for lower quality Chinese food (Queen's English, for example). It was so good and affordable, that I actually ended up coming back the next day with a different friend. Overall, excellent experience, and I will be back again soon! One interesting tidbit, my coworker who grew up in the Midwest and only eats meat, potatoes, absolutely no vegetables, started going here for lunch and loves it. I think flour-based items (noodles, dumplings, buns) are really the star of the restaurant, and this can be enjoyed across different taste palates! I hope you will give this place a try.

I'm not a fan of saucy food. The noodles were fantastic. I feel like we ordered wrong, although my girlfriend picked everything except the noodles. This is not a place to visit if you're looking to lose weight. The hard sugar in the eggplant alone was more than I consume in two months.
