If you've never had custard, it definitely runs on the creamier side compared to regular ice cream because it contains egg yolks. Really sweet and delicious pairing on top of a plain vanilla. I'm most impressed that this custard (see picture) was this solid after a 35 min drive home! The gentleman taking my order was super patient and helpful in helping me decide what I wanted. Also, the current flavor of the day is turtle and honestly would've considered that too if I could eat 2 scoops! I'm wondering if they sold to new management. Because the salad bar is nowhere near the quality it used to be. And the pork chops are nowhere near the quality that they used to be. We were warned it would be spicy, but as Texans, we didn't find it spicy at all--though we did think it was quite tasty.
