In my opinion it's hard to rate fast food restaurants and I usually avoid writing a review for them because of that. However, Yelp encouraged me to write one so here I am. My wife is obsessed with DQ so we stop here pretty much every time we drive by. I am not nearly as dedicated but do enjoy the visit. The product is excellent, despite the fact that it is not actually ice cream (google it) and the service is pretty much what you would expect from young, seasonal employees. Definitely worth a visit when you are in the mood, though. read more

Want chemicals in your blizzard? Go to this DQ! A week ago I went into DQ to pick up my mobile order. While picking up my order the manager had told me that she had not slept well the night before and had taken her medications and felt as if she was on drugs. I left with my food and blizzard. My food was ok but when I opened my blizzard it smelled funny like chemicals. I took a small bite and instantly tasted chemical like taste. I called the store and spoke to the same manager who had given me my order. She apologized saying she had just cleaned the blizzard machine before opening that morning and must not of cleaned them off thoroughly before making my blizzard. She did offer me 3 free small blizzard coupons to "make it right". I decided to call the corporate office just to make them aware of the situation I had experienced, no one ever called me back! Standing room only, this place makes legit blizzards. Don't understand the low reviews--they did well for us. We rolled up in a bus and got good, fast service and really good food--the chicken tenders are hot, crispy and wicked with cream gravy. Fries were spot on--love the ketchup packs (squeeze or dip it, your call!) The blizzards are amazing as always. But this spot is easy to blow past if you're not watching for it. read more

disrespectful to elderly and vets, that was my one and only experience. I called their corporate and received a berating from someone who claimed to be a manager there. My Financee and I stopped there to get a sandwich and a sundae, well we pulled in front of a sign that said to call to pick up your order. We mistakenly thought that meant we could call in our order as well, we were rudely told we had to download the app and do it that way or go in. Going in would require taking a scooter out of the back of the van, we wanted something quick. My fiancee is mobility challenged and I am a disabled veteran with PTSD (non combat related) and now reading here I see issues with masks? The app was very much a pain to install, we went elsewhere. I'm sorry, I believe especially during a crisis like this virus that we can be a little nice to each other. Their corporate had this man call me, he explained to me this is policy, it would upset the apple cart to answer the phone (wait, what? It says on the sign to call to pick up your order).. I told him that if it were up to me I would be looking at employees to promote that took initiative and imo just such a business the customer is the number one priority. He even said "of course we dont like customers walking out the door but sometimes it happens"...not with good companies and they surely dont yell at the customer and hang up on them. If it were me "I'm sorry, we dont take phone orders but you're here today, so what do you want?" That equeals goodwill, makes for good relations and the customer walks away happy. Instead they let the customer walk away unhappy, if they can live with that fine. I called to complain simply to see if they would see it from the pov of a customer, they did not, those days are gone my friends...I'll be 62 soon, this is sad as this is happening everywhere...the customer isnt right anymore...I guess we have to be beholding to DQ? Nope, I live in Maine where just about every town has a drive in ice cream place, and my neighbors benefit not some big corp. For the record we did not sign up for the app, I have an email congratulating me for getting the app (probably from downloading it) and now I am going to contact their legal department to get all my info off of their system and also I am calling the Maine ATTY GEN to complain of the fraudulent acquisition of my personal info. A whole lot of blizzards The very first DQ was started in 1940 in Illinois and since then over 5,700 stores have opened in 19 different countries. Even though most are in the United States the largest DQ is in Saudi Arabian and the one that does the most business is in Charlottetown, Prince Edward island in Canada. One of they most popular items is of course the Blizzard and I was surprised that it has only been around since 1985. Seems like I have been buying these things forever. Over 175 million of these tasty treats have been sold since then and I suspect that I have probably accounted for at least a large portion of them. The particular stores is small but clean and cute. DQ is now combined with Orange Julius and this store also still offers the fried food as well as the ice cream treats. Definitely has an old fashion feel to it. One curious thing is that there aren't any tables or benches to sit outside. Either you take the stuff home or eat it in your car. Most DQ's are very consistent and you generally know exactly what you are getting. The people here were pleasant and competent and the Blizzards were just what I expected. No, DQ is not snooty of gourmet ice cream but it is something I never get tired of. read more

Bad experience!! Employees were not friendly and didn't care. Food was terrible, ice cream tasted like chemicals and place was crazy dirty! Look at this trash can that no one changed! Employees also didn't wear gloves and didn't wash their hands after touching the trash can and their hair. Will never be back and I hope you don't go either. read more

WILL NOT HONOR COUPON I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday. I stated in my online order that I had a five dollar off cake coupon as per the instructions to disclose the use of a coupon on the online order form. Why would they ask you to state if you will be using a coupon if they will not allow you to use it in the end? The Woolwich store just called to ask for payment prior to making the cake and the owner said I could not use the coupon as it is only useable if you walk into the store and take a cake out of the freezer not if you order one. What? I told them that this is not written anywhere on the coupon and that the online order form asks for coupon information so this is misleading. How is this a fair business practice? Especially during the time of Covid when we are trying to do things online and over the phone. They refused to take the coupon when I pick up the cake as well...they will not accept it, end of story. This is the last time I will order a cake from this place. Baskin-Robbins is my new go to spot even though they are farther away read more

They messed up our order then got mad at us when we brought it to their attention and refused (at first) to correct THEIR mistake. Okay- let me start by saying the food was AMAZING. It couldn't believe how fresh the veggies on the burger(which was cooked to perfection) and how golden the fries came out. But your appetite will be ruined by the disgusting attitudes of the servers/manager. Not only did they seem held against their will- they moves extremely slowly. It took about 15mins for my order to come. While waiting I saw about 5 others experience the same service. I could not give more then two stars due to service. First off, the food/ice cream/coffee drinks were good, the menu had been expanded the last time I was at a DQ... the service was a little slow, but there were a lot of people behind us. The main reason I give this one star is because there is NO PLACE to sit. None. There is not a single chair or table inside, there is not a single table or place to sit outside. This location is at the corner of an odd and extremely busy intersection with multiple entrances and exits where cars fly in and out and can use the parking lot as a cutoff. I was nervous having my 2 young kids with me and having to walk out and across the parking lot to go sit in our car. Absolutely insane to me to think that this is basically a 'take out' place where you are forced to take out to your car. Its a big enough building. Plus the other building in the parking lot looked abandoned. It would be easy to set up at least ONE table ! I've never seen such a thing. i usually do enjoy blizzards from dairy queen, but today i was given a blizzard and at the end once i hit the bottom, i felt a plastic type feeling in my mouth in turned out to be a toe nail. i am very disappointed in this poor service. the blizzard was also melted by the time i got it. overall i feel very disgusted by the fact that i had a toenail in my mouth. 1/5 stars read more
