    Found my cherry dipped
    Adam H.

I only visit for the cherry dipped vanilla cones. Something I can't find at the DQ's down in San Antonio, but can find at most DQ's here. Service at this place always seems friendly. Enjoy coming here.

Old time ice cream This Dairy Queen looks like it's been around for a while. One of the small take out ones with no inside seating and no burgers or fried food. Just ice cream which is fine with me because that is the only thing I ever get at DQ. They have the usually selection of Dairy Queen products and lots of signs and menus giving the prices and different options. I've been here many times and always got exactly what I ordered and received it quickly. One thing about DQ is that it is consistent. A blizzard in Florida is going to be exactly like a blizzard in Maine. Nice to know what you are getting. The place is old and has just a scruffy old bench to sit on but somehow that seems how it should be. The employees here have always been efficient and pleasant and sitting on that little bench on the side of the building watching the beach traffic on RT 1 go by just seems proper while eating DQ. No, it not classy place or gourmet ice cream. But they do have blizzards and the other DQ treats. And in the summer near the ocean that is enough.

Dairy Queen cake for my 29th birthday party. Perfectly done, in my opinion.

Love. This. Dairy. Queen. Went in asking for a cake. Not just any cake, but one with a very specific picture on it. Now, this DQ doesn't do that thing where they print out a picture, but the young women behind the counter told me they would do their best. I went over the next to pick it up and the cake was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Definitely a fine addition to one of my best birthdays. I've been here on multiple occasions. A lot of the DQs I've been to have their down days, but this one seems to be spot on pretty much every time we go. Add to this the fact they're open a lot later than other DQ's.

It's a DQ -- that's all you need to say! Go and get a Blizzard -- you won't regret it.

This Dairy Queen is a very simple one and theres no indoor seating, only outdoor. Prices are decent and the cashiers are friendly most of the time. DQ is always good to get for a treat now and then!

    Cool treats only here

The cone servings continue to shrink. A large cone at this location is smaller than a medium cone at Dairy Corner (scarborough).

Blazes Burgers - Is this the best burger spot in all of Maine?…read more861 Main St, Westbrook, ME 04092 If you're a burger lover on the hunt for bold flavors and unique toppings, Blazes Burgers just might be your holy grail. This Westbrook gem is known for its stacked burger menu, and after trying a few of their specialties, I can see why locals are obsessed. We tried three different burgers: The Pesto Burger - A 6 oz fresh patty topped with creamy pesto and your choice of cheese. Pro tip: take the kitchen's advice and add tomato for a refreshing bite that cuts through the richness. As a pesto fanatic, this one hit all the right notes for me--herby, savory, and perfectly messy. Definitely my personal fave. Crack Cheeseburger - The name doesn't lie. This beast comes loaded with grilled onions, bacon, your preferred cheese, and a feisty feta spread that brings just the right kick. Rich, indulgent, and absolutely unforgettable. Black and Blue Burger - Bacon, grilled onions, sweet bourbon sauce, and blue cheese crumbles all on a brioche bun. The sweet-savory combo is magic, and the blue cheese gives it a gourmet edge. The crack sauce deserves its own shoutout--creamy, a little spicy, and totally addictive. Pair any burger with their fries or tots and you've got yourself a seriously satisfying meal. Rating: 8/10 A strong contender for Maine's best burger, no doubt. The menu is creative, the execution solid, and the flavors linger in the best way. Whether you're a pesto person like me or all about the boldness of blue cheese, Blazes has something for you. Is this your go-to burger joint? Got a spot you think tops this? Let me know--I'm always up for a burger adventure!

Several more visits since my last review…read more Some things haven't changed: -- The beers are still great. Swish, Here's to Feeling Good All the Time, Nothing Gold, and Reciprocal are a formidable foursome. At any given time, you can usually get at least two, more often three, sometimes all four. -- You'd be hard pressed (pun intended) to find a better smashburger in Portland, but I'd also put it up against any regularly-offered burger I've had in Portland--smashed or otherwise. I love everything about it, from the high caliber of the beef to the fresh pillowy milk bun to the exhilaratingly strong cure of the bacon to the razor-thin cutting of the vegetables to the execution that gets even a smashburger burger juicy. -- I'm still not crazy about the wings. They have a frozen dinner feel to them. A few things, though, have changed: -- Full service now instead of having to order everything at the bar. That's a plus. -- The place is much more crowded-- including screaming tykes-- on the weekends. Not a plus, but can't fault a place for its own popularity. -- The fries are now the industrial strength coated kind. A big minus and a sad drop off from prior greatness, but better that than from an item off the main cast. -- You can now order beer cans to go from the table rather than having to get in line. A nice convenience. A few things to know: -- It's a surprisingly good option for vegetarians and pescatarians. The veggie burger and the grilled fish sandwich are both much more than solid. -- There's outdoor seating in front of the building and also to the right. -- The bar room to the right of the entrance is adults only, so if those screaming tykes get on your nerves, this is the place to be. -- You can still order beer at the bar if that's your preference over table service. Still a favorite, and the combo of beer, food, and space is tough to beat (Mast Landing and Maine Beer in Freeport are also somewhere in that echelon).

As an IPA fan I enjoyed this new version very much for its hop saturated citrusy forward taste that drank quite smooth for the 9.5%. At this point now Bissell is broken into two separate parts. The first will be the space welcoming to families and is more of their restaurant style area. Appeared to be a popular area and does offer reservations. My preferred area is the Bissell Garden as they call it. Those entering need to be of drinking age and have more lounge vibes where you order at the bar. It still offers full kitchen menu so is perfect. Particularly my favorite is snagging bar stools to grab some beers and food. I had to try out the Super Swish while my wife grabbed their red ale named Turnpike. Then food wise we split their kitchen special Classic Poutine. Some of the best classic kept simple poutine I have had. The perfect comfort food for yet another cold weather day in Maine. Have been impressed by all the food from Bissell. Truly the only negative still stands being the fact it's on Thompson's Point and required paid parking (not Bissell Brothers call but still). One of the most popular Maine breweries for a reason especially in the IPA game. Give all their other style of beers a try too though, top notch brewery!

For being in the middle of the day on a Saturday, I was actually surprised it wasn't busier; however, with a starving kid it was a blessing. Service was quick and kind, but not overly frilly. The staff were pleasant and incredibly accommodating with my son (offering coloring books if he needed to be kept busy, etc). I loved the location, and the ambiance was stellar. I would love to come back as a date night so I could actually take in the space and really enjoy look over the options, rather than a quick glance so that we could keep our afternoon rolling. I got a chicken sandwich and my husband and son both got cheeseburgers. We split a large fry which was plenty for the three of us. Portions were reasonably sized for the price, and the dirty sauce I got on the side was delicious! The house-made soda was also delightful and refreshing. So, a 3 star is great for the the fact that I didn't really take my time to truly take it all in. But I definitely look forward to coming back and really soaking it all in

The ambiance is a classic burger joint: music, loud chatter, etc, but it's perfect for the vibe. Our waiter was attentive, though not overbearing. The food was delicious. I got the crispy chicken sandwich and my wife got the cowboy burger. The buns on both were the star of the show, for us. Clearly handmade in the back, soft and chewy, yet sturdy enough to handle a hefty burger and sandwich. We also got the loaded fries, which were alright. For the price, I don't know if I'd recommend them again, just go with the regular fries. The texture of the fries was perfect, but the pickled onion/ground beef combination was not my favorite.
