Cons: -Doesn't offer the mini blizzard flight advertised by DQ -Blizzards might be missing ingredients and explained incorrectly or there is confusion among staff when there are similar blizzards on the menu -Closes early on Friday nights (9:00PM) -- Short line around 8:30PM on a Friday. Oreo Cookie Jar Blizzard We were told this blizzard would contain Oreos, cookie dough, and hot fudge, but on the website it's advertised as Oreos, cookie pieces (baked--and a huge difference to us), and blended fudge. Either way, what we actually received was 98% Oreo pieces and a few small unidentifiable chunks. The blizzard was white so there likely was no/minimal fudge in it. I went to use my birthday BOGO blizzard reward. They wouldn't accept it as they are "independently owned." The guy could've cared less about our disappointment. I still ordered because it was late and I didn't want my partner to not have the treat he was excited about. Old time ice cream This Dairy Queen looks like it's been around for a while. One of the small take out ones with no inside seating and no burgers or fried food. Just ice cream which is fine with me because that is the only thing I ever get at DQ. They have the usually selection of Dairy Queen products and lots of signs and menus giving the prices and different options. I've been here many times and always got exactly what I ordered and received it quickly. One thing about DQ is that it is consistent. A blizzard in Florida is going to be exactly like a blizzard in Maine. Nice to know what you are getting. The place is old and has just a scruffy old bench to sit on but somehow that seems how it should be. The employees here have always been efficient and pleasant and sitting on that little bench on the side of the building watching the beach traffic on RT 1 go by just seems proper while eating DQ. No, it not classy place or gourmet ice cream. But they do have blizzards and the other DQ treats. And in the summer near the ocean that is enough. read more

Honestly, how many ice cream joints can a state have? On a summer day - this place is hopping. Hell, they are still open and its NOVEMBER. So, you want a tasty chocolate dipped cone after Halloween, this is on the list. Standard Dairy Queen sweet offerings. I recently been in the trend of wanting chocolate dipped cones. Love. This. Dairy. Queen. Went in asking for a cake. Not just any cake, but one with a very specific picture on it. Now, this DQ doesn't do that thing where they print out a picture, but the young women behind the counter told me they would do their best. I went over the next to pick it up and the cake was perfect. Absolutely perfect. Definitely a fine addition to one of my best birthdays. I've been here on multiple occasions. A lot of the DQs I've been to have their down days, but this one seems to be spot on pretty much every time we go. Add to this the fact they're open a lot later than other DQ's. read more

Standard ice cream desserts. There was an incredibly sketchy looking dude who was puffing on what appeared to be a tobacco product. And staring me down. I asked my BF to drive to the other side because I didn't want to end up a subject of a Dateline mystery. It was pricey and make sure you know absolutely what you want because the girl behind the counter gets very ptiffed if you ask too many questions like....what size cup, what size cone, if it is possible to have multiple toppings in your blizzard. The customer next to me asked her attendant if the bananas were fresh and if they had fat-free ice cream and her attendant replied, sorry this is Dairy Queen and the customer turned around and walked away. The average age of the staff is 16 years old and totally unaware of customer interaction because they are too busy texting, tweeting, and making plans that don't involve working for the public. You're better off visiting your local grocer and spending the money on a gallon of their finest product and sitting at home writing stupid reviews on Yelp with your significant other and laughing at the stupidity of mankind. read more

This review is on the Blizzard and not the overall product line. We also got a peanut buster parfait which was good. The Blizzard on the other hand left much to be desired. The cup was 2/3 full, lacked the ingredients which I've become accustomed to enjoying. Next time it will be another item or I'd be heading to the Saco store ...
