    I ordered the strawberry milkshake!

The milkshakes here are the best! When i went up to go order my desert, the worker was very sweet and even went as far as bringing out my drink (something I didn't expect)! The overall environment was very welcoming and clean. I usually don't have anything negative to say about this spot. 10/10, better than L&L

If you are craving Hawaiian food- this is the spot!! New off off Fair oaks Blvd and Manzanita. Chill vibe upon entering- very welcoming, feels like you're eating inside of your home. Clean environment, clean restrooms. Love it!! The waiter greeted and seated us immediately with such professionalism and enthusiasm, then owner came to check on us as well. Food: ordered the garlic shrimp plate- the way the shrimp is cooked and marinated, with drizzled oil saturated into the cabbage underneath is so delicious !! The brown rice scoop is just enough and soft. The spam musubi reminded me of Hawaii.. sooo good!!! The macaroni salad.. ugh one of the best I've had. My fiancé had the fried fish and shrimp plate. He devoured it. I took a bite of the fish and wow.. it melted in my mouth.. so tender and crispy on the outside. If I could kidnap a chef... but I wouldn't!! Thank you for the kind hospitality and delightful meal!

Saw on IG that they opened a 2nd location in Carmichael which is closer to me than their Elk Grove location. They recently opened a few days ago and since my husband and I were craving Hawaiian food today after a Costco run, we decided to stop by. The place is located in a plaza at a busy intersection so you can't miss it. It's located where Burger Im used to be next to Jamba Juice. There's plenty of parking spaces and when you go inside, there's also a good amount of seating. Since they just opened this location, there are still some things they need to configure like their kiosk to do self-service and their soda fountain but I didn't mind. My husband and I were seated right away and were given menus. The menu had a good amount of options and I liked that they had a healthy plate option that included brown rice and salad. My go-to meals at Hawaiian places is the chicken katsu plates so that's exactly what I ordered. I got the Chicken Katsu Mini Plate while my husband got the Half & Half Chicken Full Plate. We also ordered a Spam Musubi for each of us to start off with and also Malasadas to take to-go. The Spam Musubis came out first which was a perfect start to our meal and we liked the balance of the rice and sauce they put in it. Right after, our main dishes came out and for a Mini Plate, the portion size was HUGE! Then my husband's Full Plate came out and it was even more portions! We were both surprised with the amount of food that our dishes came with that we ended up not finishing it all and had to get a to-go box. We literally filled our to-go box to the point where it looked like we ordered a third plate lol! We also liked the amount of katsu sauce they give both when dining in and when taking a sauce to-go. Finally, our Malasadas were given to us as we were heading out and they were still hot and fresh which was the best time to eat them! We each ate one when we got to our car and told ourselves we would only eat one each but we ended up eating another because they were that good! Overall, my husband and I were really impressed with the portion sizes, the quick service, and especially how much everything costed us! The prices for the items on their menu were a bit more affordable compared to other Hawaiian food spots. The prices that stood out the most for us was a Spam Musubi for $2.95 and the Malasadas for $6.99 for 10 pieces! We will definitely be back and can't wait to see when they have everything put together to make their restaurant and business continue to flourish and serve the Sacramento community with their amazing Hawaiian dishes!

Left over chicken Katsu. Huge portion.

I tried this new place out the other day, because it's in the shopping center by my house. It was pretty good, I ordered the fried rice, bbq beef, chicken katsu and a side of lumpia. My wife ordered the chicken Katsu plate. The people working were very friendly, and the portions were huge. We had enough food left over for a whole other meal for me, my wife and my daughter. If you like Hawaiian bbq, check it out.

Ordered the BBQ Chicken Katsu Chicken combo at DQ and WOW--huge portions! Plenty of food to share (or enjoy leftovers later). The chicken was flavorful and satisfying, and the staff were incredibly friendly, which made the experience even better. Definitely worth checking out if you're hungry!

I got the poke bowl, which was fresh and tasty, though I would've liked a little more fish and a little less rice. My mom and son ordered rice plates, and the chicken katsu was massive. Seriously, each cutlet looked like two chicken breasts in one. My wife tried the sushi burrito, which was packed, but it fell apart once she unwrapped it. Not a dealbreaker, just messy because it was loaded with food. The kids shared ramen and Spam musubi, and I ended up trying both. The ramen was surprisingly phenomenal, especially the roast pork, and the Spam musubi were huge. Overall, this is the kind of spot you go to when you're really hungry and want big portions, solid Hawaiian comfort food, and good service. Clean place, friendly staff, and definitely worth a stop. 4.5 stars

The pancit tasted just like the ones my aunties made. Loved that it came with a lemon wedge instead of a lemon juice packet. There was a good amount of meat where most places put way too many vegetables. The lumpia was crispy and filling was fresh. The halo-halo was spot on with all the best stuff in it. Service was a little chaotic. The staff were all in the back busy working so there wasn't anyone in the front if you needed anything. But someone did come out if you needed help. Dinner Rolls-Soft and tasty-got the job done and made for a great vessel for a tri tip slider that I enjoyed-7.5/10 item All the dishes were self serve except for the meats,so was tough not to go too hard on the sides considering I was in line with 200 people. I decided to order the black garlic ramen. I also ordered extra broth and extra noodles, which I usually do when I order ramen from a restaurant. However, the extra broth was $6.50, and the extra noodles were $4.50. The price for the extra noodles seemed ok, but $6.50 for extra broth?? Yikes. But, like I said, I was celebrating and hungry, so I bit the bullet. The soup came out fast, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I honestly didn't think the soup was going to be as good as it was. The broth was smooth, creamy, and the garlic flavor didn't overpower it. Also, they did a good job with the egg. The yolk inside was gooey, but not runny. It might seem like something slight, but I get kinda annoyed when ramen places just basically throw a hard boiled egg into the soup. That's not how it's done. This place did it right. One thing that was kinda of weird was that my extra soup and noodles came out in a seperate bowl from my main order. I was under the impression that my extras would be put into one bowl, to make a bigger bowl of ramen. It wasn't a big deal, but it seemed unnecessary to have to keep adding my extra noodles and broth to the main bowl. So overall, I think 4.5 stars would be an accurate rating for this place. It was clean, had good service, and the ramen itself was really good, not to mention that they did a good job with the egg. I only took off half a star for the steep price on the extra broth, and having to keep transferring the extras to the main bowl. With the tip, I ended up spending about $33. Yea, it was a little steep, but sometimes you have to treat yourself. Its definitely worth a try.

To match this atrocious weather, we agreed on trying Ramen 101 to warm us all up. It came highly recommended to my cousin, so we all agreed to try it! In theory, ramen sounded good in this rain, but I really did not want that. I was so happy to see they had BBQ plates as an option too! I opted for the Kalbi Short Ribs, which came with rice and steamed cabbage and broccoli! I also ordered the crab rangoons and spam musubi to share. The kalbi had great flavor and the meat was tender and did not have too much fat. I enjoyed the plate. The rangoon wonton wrappers were really thick and tough, which was not my fave. It also was mostly cream cheese, but they tasted okay. The musubi were decent too! Not sure I would order either appetizer again, but I did enjoy them. The ramen's were works of art. It was amazing. The squid was not too chewy, and I don't know how they seasoned it, but it was delicious. The sauce on top was very savory. I especially liked the tentacles, the little "suckers" were actually crunchy. A total home run. Last time, I had their tonkatsu Ramen, which is my favorite Ramen. Their version is excellent. I was going to have it again, but this time I saw the seafood Ramen on the menu. Amazing! You choose your spice level. I chose the mild, and there was just a tiny bit of spice, just enough that I noticed that it was there . There was plenty of seafood, the shrimp were tender, and the scallops were buttery. The fish cake also had a good flavor. The noodles were the perfect texture, the veggies were good, and the broth was rich, but not overly so. It had a great savory flavor. I absolutely loved the egg. It was perfectly in the middle between hard boiled and soft boiled. My late mom would make what I liked to call "goopy eggs." , and this one brought back a wonderful memory. I had enough of the Ramen and enough of the squid left over for a full second meal. The portions were huge! For the portion size and the quality of the food, the price was extremely reasonable, and they also offer a military/veteran discount. I'll be back to try more things. Thank you.
