I've been following Palo Palo on Instagram ever since they opened. We finally made it out for an early dinner on Sunday and fully enjoyed our first visit! Service was wonderful - of course we were the only table at the time but they were very welcoming! N'laga Fries: these are definitely meant for sharing! Loved the fries they have here and the tender brisket and atchara on top was a perfect topping. Smoked Sisig Spareribs: these were pretty good but I'd probably skip them next time. I'm more of a saucy rib person but the flavor and the onions on this one are nice if you like dry rub style more. I wish they had an actual sisig dish here! Pan de Lechon: this is a lechon sandwich, and probably our favorite bite! The bread was soft and meat was surprisingly tender. It also had a kick from the serrano but wasn't too overwhelming. Ube Churros and Ube Cheesecake: delicious way to end the meal! Also appreciated that they had a kids menu! They were so nice to replace one of the sides of fries for rice instead, per my son's request. The little pan de sal sandwiches were a perfect bite for our kids. Loved the menu and the creative take on classic dishes. I do wish they had more drink options, even just fresh calamansi or mango juice. They had really unique cocktails but I don't drink so I would love to see that same effort put into a non alcoholic menu!

ve been so excited to try this Filipino spot since it's close to us, and it was amazing--especially with vegan options! The staff was super friendly, knew the menu well, and gave great recommendations. Everything we tried was full of flavor and reminded me of homemade Filipino food. The Talib Kawali and Fili-Bistek were my favorites. I also loved the open space, bar, and fun bar games. This is definitely a place I'll continue to come back to.

Very solid food and drinks from Palo Palo. They took over an existing restaurant space - El Papagayo, so it appears they are still setting up their space. You order at the bar and seat yourself, so it's very casual. Drink options were very reasonably priced and quite a few options. The menu is a little tricky to decipher, but all of our food was quite tasty. The sisig spareribs were the star of the show - so smoky and literally fell off the bone. The N'Laga fries had really good brisket on top. The cheese sauce was tasty, but very heavy. I'd ask for it on the side next time. The Pan De Lechon was also very good, the pork belly was crispy but soft on the inside.

I had a to-go order for the Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge. I ordered the Cali Flower Sisig and it was very flavorful!

SUPPORT FAMILY OWNED LOCAL BUSINESSES! I appreciate Filipino cuisine when they have vegan options. For vegans, they have a designated vegan kitchen so there is no cross contamination. You walk in, grab menus, pick a table, and when you're ready to order you walk up to the bar. Several tvs playing the games as we waited for our meal. We ordered the pancit walabok (vegan), smoked sisig spareribs, fries, & Kyle's rice (garlic rice). He ordered the new old fashioned and they didn't spare the alcohol. I've never liked pancit palabok but this one, was the best I've had. He devoured the sisig. Quality through and through. Now if you start off with their restaurant name, take a look at their menu names, they have a twist of humor. lol, palo means "spanking", my pancit "wala"bok (nothing). It's a punny place, great food, thoughtfulness played in every aspect, terrific, welcoming service. This will be part of our go to rotation.

What gem of a find! We shared the brisket fries and lumpia. The brisket melted like butter and the lumpia was light and crispy. The place is super clean and our server was fast and gave great suggestions.

As a Filipino myself, I'm trying to find different Filipino places to try. Went with family and they absolute loved it! We loved the twist to Filipino food as it separates itself from other Filipino restaurants. I loved the little puns and play in words in the menu it makes everything so fun and distinct. My favorite was the Fili-Bistek in which the server was kind enough to make it into a rice plate instead of a sandwich so the whole family could try it. Service was top tier and I was impressed that our waiter didn't even have to write all the food we ordered down. All the food came pretty quick as well and we had an easy time finding the place and getting seated. Will definitely be coming again!

This place has been on my list since it changed up concepts and I was pleasantly impressed with the vegan pancit. They have a few vegan appetizers and 1 entree. Drinks were delicious too. It's an order at the counter kind of place now but I would definitely go back to try the couple more veggie options. Oh and the garlic rice was yummy too!

We visited during the soft opening and enjoyed the whole experience. I'm biased but it's the perfect spot for a casual Filipino fusion restaurant. I learned that the owner was also part of midtown spirits, so that explains the amazing flavors! Love the menu's word play and cultural wall decor. Looking forward to trying more dishes and bringing more friends!

Came in and the place was clean and organized. Spoke with one of the owner's about the food and ingredients and he always checked in to make sure things were going well with the food and made us feel at home. He also had a us try a cool appetizer made of atchara and it was so good! We also dried their calamari, fries and spare ribs. Amazing dishes overall and definitely recommend coming here for Filipino fusion

    Beef Cheek Amuse-Bouche

Wow! Sacramento is sleeping on this place! Incredible smoked meats and out of this world hospitality. Was given a free sample of the beef cheek and ordered it with an omelette and fried rice which was to DIE FOR! Was also given a taste of a coconut rum from Dominican Republic that made me regret ever drinking Malibu. Keep up the great work team! Killing it!

Service is good, you order at the bar - which is a full bar! And cocktail menu, they even have happy hour. Food is made to order and they give a complimentary snack while you wait. The food is fresh and full of flavor. This was our second time here. We were full and happy! They were sold out of the Ube cheesecake and bummer! We will have to go back again to have it this is a twist to the traditional food I grew up eating but we all enjoyed it. Support local restaurants. Ya'll need to have after hours karaoke - like family night at home.

After enjoying glasses of chardonnay at nearby Luna Lounge (please reference my review if…read moreinterested), my wife and I headed to The Blind Pig to enjoy a few cocktails. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly bartender by the name of Ronny. Our first round consisted of two dirty martinis (my new drink of choice), which Ronny put his fist (that's a good thing) into making. One of the things that I love about dive bars is the various demographics that usually frequent them (along with their interesting conversations). For our second round we ordered a "Manmosa (yes I know that sounds ridiculously machismo in 2024)" that Ronny insisted on putting a fruity spin on. Not only were we thankful for his suggestion, but his version was GOOD! In real dive bar-like fashion, Ronny provided us both with an extra cup to house the remainder of the Manmosa that could not fit into our glasses (another dive bar perk). As we sat at the bar, my wife and chatted while lightly watching the movie Step Brothers on one of the televisions. Although it was a fairly slow Saturday afternoon, I can imagine that this place gets pretty lively in the latter part of the night though. We observed lots of seating, games, and an area for karaoke (toasted karaoke is the best!). I highly recommend The Blind Pig if you're looking to have deliciously strong drinks at a price that won't have you waking up the next morning rethinking the decisions that you made the previous night!

I arrived around 11:30 and the hostess seated me immediately. Our server, Jaden, came over to the table right away to introduce himself, provide water, and ask if I wanted to get started with any drinks. I decided to wait for my friends to arrive, and while waiting, I took a look at the food and drink menu. Upon arrival of the two friends, we ordered cocktails first and then decided on food. I ordered the Pink Pony and later the cosmopolitan, and eggs benedict for breakfast. My meal was quite delicious and I finished every morsel on my plate. The poached eggs were done perfectly and I really enjoyed the potatos. We were seated in the interior dining room to the left of the entry and I did not check out the other interior areas of the restaurant, but I loved the Mid Century Modern / Palm Springs vibe. I especially loved the "fly fan" on each table to use because the bar behind where we were sitting was open to the outside. We did not have an issue with flies but the fans are a nice and considerate touch. Jaden provided excellent customer service, checking back as our drinks got low, and checking back on the food, which we all very much enjoyed. When we left there was some live music outside, but we did not stay as it was a pretty warm Sunday on 6/14/26, but I will most definitely return. I'm especially looking forward to returning in the evening when the weather gets a little cooler toward the end of summer. This is a really fun place, with great food and great service!

I had made a reservation for 2 people probably a little over a week prior to the date, for my birthday which was that evening-- upon arriving on time, & waiting a few minutes for the hostess (perfectly fine, I noticed there was an entire event taking place), myself and my guest were asked to take a seat at the picnic tables to wait to be seated, again, perfectly fine. That is until I watched the people behind us, and at least three other parties walk up and be seated immediately. I was very shocked to say the least, especially since nobody was checking in, asking us if we wanted drinks, letting us know updates. This was a reservation for a special event which I specified when making the reservation. We obviously left after waiting 20 minutes into my 7pm reservation, with no questions asked as we were :/ even with the event going on, the fact that I had made a reservation weeks prior & was never spoken to besides being told to "sit and wait", it wasn't busy enough to get that bad of service. I shouldn't be anymore, but I'm actually shocked by how unprofessional this entire experience has been handled. This town is entirely TOO tiny to be acting like an LA restaurant. Do better.
