Excellent service and a warm, family-run atmosphere. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions and the wide variety of seafood offered. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly -- from the combo seafood boil to the classic stir-fry dishes. They've been in business here since around 2016, and I can clearly see why folks keep coming back. The staff is friendly, attentive, and you really feel like they care about your dining experience. If you enjoy seafood boils, Cajun flavors, or just good comfort food in general, this place is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended!

The seafood was incredibly fresh, and we ordered it RegionCajun style. If you can handle the heat, I highly recommend opting for one of the spicier levels! Personally, I feel that extra spice really enhances the authentic Cajun flavor. The service was also very attentive--I thoroughly enjoyed this meal.

I tried Asian N' Cajun for the first time in a while. I did this via DoorDash and it was a positive experience. The food was well packaged, and it arrived warm and tasty. My order consisted of War Wonton Soup, Honey Shrimp and Steamed Rice. The Soup was delicious, full of Chicken, meaty Wonton and Vegetables. Our Honey Shrimp was also better than average. A generous amount of plumb, flavorful Shrimp with ample breading (without over doing it). I will order from this restaurant again.

Best walnut prawns in Sacramento rice has so much flavor.

This review was long overdue. Ate here 4 times already & Everytime I came here, the food has always been spectacular. I usually order the honey walnut prawns, but this time I got the general chicken & when I say they don't miss on taste & flavor, THEY DONT MISS! I'm starting to believe nothing here is meh.. the customer service is also terrific. I live in south Sacramento & I hate driving. But the food here is worth the drive. You won't be disappointed.

Right when you walk in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. It was a busy Saturday evening, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was also so friendly, and our food came out FAST and piping hot! In our past experiences at other crab boil restaurants, it can take forever just to get a table, let alone get your food. So we really appreciated how quickly everything came out here! Now, THE FOOD! My hubby and I both got the Dungeness crab with the mild Cajun & garlic butter seasoning. It came with potatoes and corn, and we also added a side of rice and the Cajun fries. The seasoning was SO good! It had plenty of flavor without being overly salty. The crab was delicious and cooked perfectly. And those Cajun fries?! They were super crispy and seasoned to perfection! The only thing I would have changed was that we weren't given any crab crackers or tools to help us get into the crab. We actually thought they didn't have any at first. We later asked and were provided with some, but it would have been nice if they were offered or brought out with our gloves and bibs since we ordered crab. Other than that, I really enjoyed our experience! I especially loved that the restaurant has a more relaxed atmosphere compared to some other crab boil spots. The seats were comfortable, the music wasn't extremely loud, and it still had a fun vibe while being quiet enough for us to actually have a conversation. Overall, I'm giving Captain Crab a 10/10! We'll definitely be back!

We went here with a group last night and had the best experience. The quality and preparation of the food was beyond excellent. The ambience is great here, we love the old time, romantic feel. This is so rare in these times. Seems like we can't find anywhere really good to eat anymore. My only complaint on this Sunday, June 21st, is that after the initial basket of bread (which had exactly four pieces for the 4 of us) we were told by Reece that the restaurant charges $2.00 for each extra piece of bread! I was shocked, and frankly, it's an insult in my opinion, that Rudy's is so "cheap" about the bread! For all we pay for our dinners, asking for extra bread should not be a problem nor an extra charge! That really is a shame because now I am hesitant to consider bringing friends to Rudy's. I hope management will reconsider its' position on the service of bread.

Our waiterS were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable in their menu options. One of them was super friendly -- maybe even a bit cheeky! -- and he made us feel at home. Third, ohmygoodness! The food was sooo delicious! The Cantonese-style Seabass paired quite lovely with Shrimp Fried Rice and Combination Veggies!!! The seabass was topped with sliced ginger and onions. It was super tasty! It reminded me of home cooked meals growing up. The shrimp in the fried rice was tender and lighted dusty with some type of flour that made it perfectly crisp. And the combination veggies was perfectly cooked and served in a light sauce! Thing is, I'm not a huge fan of "Asian Fusion" but this place seemed to hit all the boxes for us. Go give Folsom Palace a try! p.s. The noodles were flavorful and well-seasoned, the shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the vegetables were fresh. Everything tasted great together. However, for $20, I expected a little more. There were only 4 shrimp in the box, which feels like too little for the price. If they had included at least 6-8 shrimp, it would have been much better. The food is delicious, but the value for the money could definitely be improved.

Our server, Lacy, was absolutely incredible--super friendly, quick, attentive, and always on top of everything we needed. The food was amazing, and what really made the night special was how the staff made my son feel celebrated. As we were leaving, several employees wished him a happy birthday and even used his name. My family and I were celebrating our niece's 9th birthday at the Red Lobster in Citrus Heights…read more There were 9 of us (7 adults and 2 children), and all she wanted for her birthday was to eat at Red Lobster. I understand we didn't have a reservation. However, this wasn't our first time dining here with a large party. In the past, we've always been given a wait time and never turned away. When we told the hostess, Trinity, we had a party of 9, she said they couldn't accommodate us because they already had several large parties with reservations. She also suggested using OpenTable or calling ahead in the future. We explained we'd never had this issue before with larger family dinners. She laughed and said, "Oh really? Well, you're lucky. I must have bad luck because every time I go somewhere with a large party, I'm told no." Whether she meant it jokingly or not, it came across as dismissive. We then asked if we could split into two tables. She checked with the manager again and came back saying they were short-staffed and that even a party of two would have a long wait of about three hours. We said that was completely fine and asked to be put on the waitlist because it was my niece's birthday. Since Trinity suggested using OpenTable, my husband checked the app while we were standing there. To our surprise, it showed an available reservation for 9 people at 4:15 PM at that exact location. He booked it immediately, and it was confirmed. When I showed Trinity the confirmation, she said, "Yeah, it's going to let you, but we will not honor it." A few minutes later, another couple walked in without a reservation and was told the wait would only be about 10 minutes. We were confused because we had just been told that even a party of two couldn't be accommodated due to staffing. That couple sat next to us and asked my sister-in-law what had happened. As she calmly explained the situation, Trinity stepped into the conversation. My sister-in-law politely asked if we could finish our conversation. She then asked to speak with the manager and let Trinity know we'd also be contacting corporate. Only then did Trinity suddenly come back and say they could seat four of us at one table and five at another--the exact solution we had suggested from the beginning. By then, the experience had already ruined my niece's birthday dinner. We decided to leave and celebrate somewhere else. My sister-in-law stayed behind to speak with the manager. He was apologetic, listened to what had happened, explained that splitting our party into two tables had actually been an option, and invited us to come back inside, saying they wanted to make it right. We appreciated the apology, but by then it was too late. The experience had already taken away from my niece's birthday, so we respectfully declined. This review isn't about waiting. We understand restaurants get busy and staffing shortages happen. This review is about inconsistent communication. We offered to split our party, agreed to wait three hours, and even followed Trinity's recommendation by using OpenTable, only to be told our confirmed reservation wouldn't be honored. Then, only after asking for a manager and saying we'd contact corporate, we were offered the exact solution we'd been requesting all along. My sister-in-law remained calm and respectful throughout the entire interaction. We simply wanted to celebrate a little girl's birthday. Instead, our family left confused, disappointed, and feeling unwelcome. I hope Red Lobster reviews how situations like this are handled so another family celebrating a special occasion doesn't have the same experience.
