I have driven past this location so many times, and finally I had a chance to stop for lunch. I picked the tri-tip sandwich with fries. The tri-tip was bbq to perfection, moist and full of flavor, the bread was toasted and fresh along with the battered fries. So good. This is a good value for the amount you get, and totally love the convenience of the location. There is one table inside, but also a couple tables outside, probably more of a pick up and go, but you can definitely sit and enjoy your meal as well This is a shared commercial kitchen, so not too fancy, just getting down to business, that is ok. Because the food was so good. I will definitely be back to try the hamburger next. read more

I'm on the fence. I got the gene special. Tri tip and chicken sandwich. First I'll say the visit was alright. Dude was cool at least. Respect his hustle and grind. The sandwich however for me was like 5/10 and after further review, the onions threw it completely off with the burnt char taste. Every bite had this taste of burnt crumbs from like the flat top or something, like all the excess burnt crap got thrown on my sandwich. I wasn't digging it. The tri tip was decent. Didn't know what I was feeling like today so I opened yelp to see what I could get and saw Babas BBQ and it's right around the corner from me so figured I'd go. I wasn't starving but the tri tip fries were recommended - I got the single burger - 10/10- no notes, burger was seasoned well, juicy and tasty. Fries were great, fried perfectly. We understand he's working alone and there was one person in front of us, but that was frustrating since we still had to drive all the way home before we could eat. Take out only. But the most unfortunate part was that it was not the best tri-tip. We all got tri-tip - fries, tacos, plate and sandwich. All were too salty. Only three of the sides were available out of six. Also, there is no option for meat only. Two of us didn't want any sides. No discount. It's $7.50 for mozzarella sticks but he won't take $1 off if we don't get them. Lastly, portions were rather small for the price. He should've put the "plate" in a smaller container. There aren't really any places around that have tri tip but I was craving it so I googled to see where I could find a tri tip sandwich and this place popped up. We will have to try the other things on the menu but for our first time there, we had the tri-tip plate, tri-tip sandwich and tri-tip French fries. They were not skimpy on the meat either! I stumbled across this little restaurant going to O'Reilly's on Sunrise and Antelope. I saw a burger on the door, and happened to be very hungry. I don't tend to eat fast food, but thought this could be very different since it was not a chain. To my surprise, it is one of the best hamburgers I have eaten from fast food in a very long time.
