Good old fashion office and service. Dr. Siu is very friendly and easy going. They don't do any up selling like other offices I have been.

My parents have been going to Dr. Cesar since the early 1990s and my family has been going here as well since early 2000's. Even though we live in Hayward, we make our way to Dr. Cesar because of the very welcoming and family like atmosphere he presents. Top-notch customer service and health/optical care. On another note, I appreciate Dr. cesar and his volunteerism with the community. He donates a lot of his time and openly gives free glasses too many people in need. Called here this morning and the friendly front desk lady made an appointment for me on the same day. They accepted my insurance which was great because I called around a few places which didn't take MetLife. I arrived at 4pm for my appointment with Dr. Siu he was very knowledgeable and got me and in and out in 30 mins. We had a good chat and he hooked me up a great pair of eye glasses. Got my exam by Dr Siu, who was very professional and gave me useful advice. I was, however, charged wrongfully for contact lenses that I never bought from their office/ clinic. The information was never relayed to me and a claim was drawn from my insurance. read more

I don't like to give bad reviews for family businesses, but this place simply deserves it. I came here after my previous optometrist sold his practice and moved too far for me to go to. I searched for an optometrist that was close to home and fortunately this office had an opening so I came. There are several things that were bad but I would normally dismiss, but one major thing that prompted this review came at the very end. The place is old, not at all modern. It looks like it was decorated in the late 80s and never updated since then (think Married With Children type decor). Ok, I could overlook this. The second thing: the front desk was in disarray, to the point it didn't bode much confidence that they were organized. Again, I could overlook this. The exam was ho-hum, nothing much to mention about it. I was bothered by the fact that Dr. Siu didn't wipe the machine that I put my chin on and there weren't any barriers. Eww. AGAIN, I still overlooked that. The glasses selection is limited and doesn't seem modern. Again, I'll overlook that. The straw that broke the camel's back was at the end: I asked for a pair of my glasses to be adjusted. Keep in mind, that was the main reason I was here to begin with. Dr. Siu said he couldn't fix it, because he had to go to lunch with his family. I felt like I was burdening him just for being there. I found this very rude and unprofessional. I was there as a new patient but I definitely won't return. I'm giving a mercy 2 star review but really I don't have anything good to say about this office. read more

I really hate giving unfavorable reviews because I love supporting small and local businesses. I used to see Dr. Tandon but she dropped my insurance so have to go hunting for another provider. My entire family wears glasses and decided to try this place. Yes, granted the place decor is outdated, Dr. Sui was personable and equipment is up to date. Fast forward, less than a couple of days after getting my daughter's glasses, it broke. Off the husband goes to get it fixed. Meanwhile, my poor kid is using her old glasses full of scratches and out of her prescription. I called and asked when the glasses will be ready and they said another week. Wait, the screw on the side was missing and they had to order new frames? Really?! It was dropped off last week and it will not be ready until next week. Really sucks - guess we have to find another provider next year. read more

Dr. Siu has been my optometrist ever since I needed glasses like a decade ago! He is very knowledgeable and easy to talk too. He doesn't pressure you to get anything that you don't need and he has a decent amount of glasses/sunglasses to choose from! His hours are a little different with it being Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and is fairly flexible and can get you scheduled that day or even that week! There is also plenty of parking in the parking lot in front. I would definitely recommend him if you're looking for an optometrist around the area! read more

We have been coming to Dr. Siu for about 6 years. He is detailed oriented and experienced. Our son needed some visual processing training, and other than another doctor in Santa Clara, dr. Siu is the only other eye dr. We have found in the area that is experienced in this area. Also, he helped up with ortho k, night time wearing contacts. This really helped my son with water sports. We really appreciate all he does to really care for us. read more

Such a great experience, I'm very picky when choosing offices and since this one was closer to my house I tried it. To start off, its in between Dental offices and their parking lot is small, but they're right infront of James Logan High School's parking lot which is HUGE and public so it's really not a problem. The receptionist seems very professional and nice. Although the overall look of the office is not modern, its okay, you still feel comfortable. I went for a checkup because I couldn't figure out if I needed glasses for one eye or some type of surgery. They scheduled me pretty soon and on my appointment I was ran through some test which were pretty cool because he has very high tech equipment. He remembered me and everything I had told him from the first time we met, which we only had like a 5 min conversation maybe less. He doesn't pressure you on buying products and explains very well all his procedures and answers your questions very well. He takes time on his patients and most important on his job, he seems to really enjoy what he does and well almost 30 years of experience, he deserves more than 5 stars! Oh yeah btw, he said I would get my glasses within a week, but I got them 2 days later :) Thank You Dr.Siu! and of course your very friendly receptionist :) read more
