Instead of transparently billing through my eye insurance, she took it upon herself to ring up charges out-of-pocket, then sprinkled on a bogus "discount" and had the audacity to act like she was doing me a favor. When I questioned the charges, I was met with deflection, eye rolls, and a tone that implied I should be grateful. Grateful for being overcharged? Grateful for being tricked into paying without the use of my insurance? Absolutely not. The worst part? There was ZERO accountability. No option for a refund. No offer to fix it. Just fake smiles and phony professionalism. It's disheartening to see a good medical professional's reputation tainted by someone who treats patients like dollar signs and lies by omission. In response to Steve P's review. The 15 year old ( also my daughter) got her glasses from here and there was a misunderstanding on my and the Doctor's office that provided the prescription. Delta Eyecare had to work around that! They were supportive and upfront, very professional with the whole thing. I want to send a big thank you to David!! I was out of town with family and my glasses had a smudge so bad nothing was taking it off. We found the closest eye care place and went inside to see if they can help. David was able to get the smudge off and give us a cleaner so we would have with us at all times. What made his guest service even better is these were new glasses and he noticed they hadn't been loosened and fixed them before they broke. This optometry is very crafty place. The sunglasses were overpriced but I got one since I believed it would be better since it is from optometry. They made me sign a form, they said it is a receipt and I agreed to pay the amount but I didn't realize it is a form that I can't cancel the sunglasses order once I signed it. I wasn't feeling right after I got so I called them to cancel the order which I made 10mintues ago but they said they already processed and can't be refunded. They then started to explain me that I signed the form and that I have to buy this even though I bought that literally 10mins ago. Dr Liao is nice but I won't recommend to get glasses here. There's no better place to be for your eye care needs. They even have doctors on sight to get your exams done. My exam just took 20 minutes. Just ordered 4 more pairs (2 prescription glasses, 2 sunglasses) and 1 year supply of contacts. I was a previous client and wanted to come back. We used to get our eyes checked and prescriptions here so called this morning to ask their availability for FOUR people. The man who was on the phone was pretty rude and condescending - I think he likes talking over people. I asked if we can see the optometrist one after the other is done. His answer: the doctor cannot see all of you at the same time. Jeez...listen first before you talk. Was referred to this place by my optometrist for custom Oakley's. Went in and spoke to a lady (I believe she was the owner). Anyways, after reviewing my prescription and looking at the different frames, I was told for the frames that I was looking at, it wouldn't work as my prescription is very bad. She went into detail on how/why it wouldn't work and offered me up some alternatives. It was too bad that I wasn't able to get what I wanted here, as the lady was very helpful and informative about each product. My insurance (Alameda Alliance/March Vision Care) covers one pair of frames and corrective lenses every two years. Bianca Pham (mgr) told me I had not had $75 allowance and $175 would be out of pocket. After I verified with my insurance that indeed one pair would be provided free of charge, I asked them to call my insurance provider. Bianca and her assistant lost the will to help me once I verified my coverage. I ended up going to Dr. CESAR SIU, OD on Alvarado Niles and was never asked for out of pocket money. Went for a glass repair, soldering of side piece, Bianca first said they could do it in an hour, and they would have to give me temporary new frames. As it turned out, this came to be that I would have to buy a new frame, into which my old lenses could be placed . in order for them to manage the repair. And that the service person was too busy, in the back, that day, Later, she said the repairman wouldn't be there until 3 days later.. felt like an old scam. Bianca did do a major search in their 100s of displayed frames, for a " better and better" one, and fitted new frames to me very well, But either communication is very poor, or best to go elsewhere. read more

I'm beyond hurt, upset, and truly unsatisfied. I never give reviews on anything but this exact place I have to because I can't stop thinking about it. I never liked the way glasses looked on me and I would purposely not wear my glasses which made my eyesight bad growing up. I had expressed this not only to the optometrist but also to Bianca. When I got my prescription I was told to pick out frames. I checked out some frames and tried asking Biancas opinion because my eyes were dilated and I couldn't see much. So she was helping me out and she had shown me a certain type of frames and I tried them on still not being able to see properly and I thought they looked decent but again I couldn't tell. She then told me that they don't go with the shape of my face and the frames were too big and I trusted her opinion and appreciated her telling me the truth which made me feel good because I thought that she knows this stuff because she's in the business. So I told her if she can hold on to the frames and that I'd like to come back when I'm able to see a little better and she was telling me I can but to remember it'll take a while to get the glasses in, that it'd take 2 business weeks and I should basically "hurry up" so that I can have my glasses come in. Then I told her that I'll come in a couple of days. I came in couple of days later and asked her about the glasses frame and she brought them to me and I tried them on again and she then changed her whole opinion saying that "wow these frames look so nice on you and you should get it" like really pushing me to get me over with and I was like "hmmm well she is an expert maybe she's right because she's been in this business" and I asked if she was sure and she was saying that yesss and that these frames are well liked. So I thought okay I'll get them and she started writing the price down. First off these frames are not name brand and they are not some different nice material that's so expensive. She then hits me with its $350 and I'm like "what? That's wild". Listen I'm not a cheap person especially when it comes to my health so I wouldn't mind spending money if it was worth it. But $350 for the glasses I have is outrageous. So I was talking to her about the price and she wasn't really good with explaining and she tried to get rid of me fast. Also she kept saying that I should get them because it takes long to get the glasses in. So I bought them because I really really needed my glasses but I just felt uncertain. Then when I drove off not even 5 minutes later from ordering the glasses I called her to try and cancel so that I can come in and pick something else or get more information but she was like "oh yea no you can't because the lenses were already packaged and going to be sent out" and I'm like "what? Did you not say that it takes so long 2 business weeks and all this other stuff" and she was like "yea no refund" and she said it so mean and I'm just baffled and sad because I really had a hard time trying to push myself to get glasses and that I was cheated out of that much money. Like come on how messed up is that, if she just said to me "oh yea that's totally fine come on in and pick something else" then I would've been giving them a great review because I truly loved the way the optometrist took her time to talk to me about my eyes. Even the frames I felt the day I ordered it and the ones I got feel two different ways. It really sucks because I just got my glasses today and I don't even want to wear them because I look terrible and the glasses look so cheap, right when I got them I took the glasses off and put it back in it's case. You're probably wondering why I didn't say anything when I got them today but it's because I'm not the type of person to cause a scene. One minor good thing is I will say that making an appointment was easy and but when I came in I was taken in almost an hour after the time my appointment was at, I don't blame them for the time mishap because things sometimes happen that are out of our control. Also the optometrist did an amazing job with actually asking questions and trying to understand how my eyes were and made me feel cared for. I'm so sad because I really want to return to this eye doctor because of the amazing lady who did my eye exam she made me feel very comfortable. But I strongly feel like Bianca could've done wayyy better at her job and she still can if she does the right thing by helping the customers out, and not try and cheat people or try and get rid of them super fast because don't you want returning customers. I am so unhappy and upset because these glasses look absolutely horrible and ridiculous on me, especially since I paid so much for them.
