Rather than trying to sell me a service, the gentleman took the time to explain how it should be measured, where it should be shortened (from the buckle end), and what the correct finished length should be. He never once pressured me into leaving the belt. I left, thought about it, and came back simply to thank him. When I offered him $20 for his time, he initially refused. I insisted and told him, in my best northern English accent, to "have a beer on me." He was genuinely delighted. That interaction told me everything I needed to know. Integrity, craftsmanship, and old-fashioned customer service are becoming rare, and this shop has all three. If you have quality shoes, belts, or leather goods, this is the sort of place you want looking after them. They've earned a customer for life.

Especially when the establishment is being trusted to handle high value and sentimental items. This is unfortunately what we experienced at Crestwood Shoe Repair. The lack of communication and care for my shoes was not acceptable and truly upsetting. The condition in which I got my shoes back was horrific and the worst part is that the employee who was assisting me made it his mission to hide the condition when handing back my item. What I have experienced makes me question the "skills" & "customer service" that so many of the positive reviews mentioned and I strongly encourage you to take your items elsewhere if you care about them.
